Allegheny Valley Transfer

From start to finish the experience with Allied were excellent. They were extremely helpful, fast, friendly, and on time. They were also in and out in no time. They carefully wrapped our valuables. Not to mention, Luke (the individual that came out to review our inventory) was prompt, professional and the best. Thank you so much for helping to make our move from Pittsburgh to Phoenix an easy transition. We are very appreciative!

Don't go here. of the 15 relocations in 36 years this was the worst organization we have ever dealt with. Missing Firearms & a significant amount of loss & damage due to their lack of process management. Customer Service is not really part of their culture Post- Covid. Once was a good company unfortunately that is not where they are today.

Great team! From Luke the estimator to the packing team (amazing team work and communication!) to the loaders who made it all seem effortless! My only issue was a lack of active communication. I had to reach out and ask and confirm along the way, but they were responsive once I initiated. Highly recommend!

Recently had a great experience with Allegheny Valley Tansfer for my in town move. They accomadated our move last minute and everything went smooth. They brought two trucks and six guys. All of them hustled to get the move done as quickly as possible. We had some difficult pieces and tight stairways which were handled without incident. Everything ended up in the right rooms based on labeled boxes and the crew reassembled everything they disassembled. Crew was courteous and attentive. I'd use these guys again and recommend based on my experience.

Allegheny Valley Transfer Co. was my receiver in Pittsburgh. I was given a particular date for delivery of my stuff, but upon enquiring my stuff had reached 5 days earlier and I requested them to deliver my stuff early as I was without my furniture. They said unfortunately they won't be able to deliver early than the scheduled date which is fair enough.

Now the day before my scheduled delivery I called them to ask for the time of delivery as I had an emergency doctor's appointment in the morning of the delivery day. The person Steve who I was coordinating with told me that their schedule is not ready and they will let me know the delivery time. Half hour later this Steve guy calls me and says we will be coming at 8 AM tomorrow, to which I requested that can you prepone or postpone by about couple of hours as I have a doctors appointment.

This Steve guy was so rude, inhuman and pathetic that he told me that we will come at 8 AM if you don't receive it we will not be able to deliver your stuff. In a nutshell the coordinators of this company specifically Steve, have no regards for customer needs. All they care of is their schedule. Also, as a part of the move they were supposed to assemble my furniture.

They did put my furniture in place but after they left all the nuts and bolts of my furniture were loose. They did not have time to complete the proper delivery of the stuff. Pathetic services and no moral values. My suggestion don't use their services.

I would give zero stars if I could. This company is absolutely terrible. ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE A SMALL MOVE, DO NOT BOOK HERE! I had a small move (approx. a studio apartment's worth) from PA to OH and booked my move over a month ahead of time. I was told that since I had a small move, my stuff would have to go on a truck with a larger shipment - understandable.

They gave me the "standard" 3-week delivery window, but I was told by Luke that they would "work with me on dates" and that they would have "no problem getting it there within a week", most likely 1-3 days. Those were complete lies. I also tried to be as flexible as possible and gave them multiple options for days for pickup. As the weeks went by and it got closer to my moving date, I periodically asked for updates on dates.

I got no answers. One week away from when I was supposed to move, I still didn't have any idea when my stuff would be picked up or delivered. All Luke would tell me was "no update yet". At this point, I had to scramble last-minute to book a different company. LESS THAN ONE WEEK before my move, I cancelled with Allied and only AFTER CANCELING did they FINALLY give me POTENTIAL dates. Terrible communication and customer service. Book somewhere else!

If you are moving you should strongly consider these people. They provided me with a totally hassle free move from Pennsylvania to Missouri. There were no problems at all. I was thrilled. Service: Out-of-state move

They were outstanding. We have been in Pittsburgh for 30 years this was our last move. They gave us an arrival time and they were their at the exact time promised. The men packed everything. The day they arrived the driver called to let us know how far they were from the house. They unpacked and set up the entire house. I would highly recommend this company. Thank you ALLIED y'all were amazing

I had a great experience with Allegheny Valley Transfer Co! They were very professional, they arrived on time and treated our things with respect. They did all the work packing our stuff, we hardly had to do anything. They worked very efficiently and managed to pack and move everything in less than half the time I expected. Highly recommend for business/office move.

Danny and his crew did an excellent job. They showed up on-time and were professional and courteous throughout the entire day, even though things didn't work out ideally. A second truck at the other location would have absolutely made things go more smoothly, but that didn't affect me personally as much as I'm sure it did them. Despite this setback and other minor ones - like there being more furniture at the new location than expected - Danny and his crew took this in stride and worked hard throughout the day and afternoon.

He answered every question that I had and treated me with the utmost respect. All in all the experience I had with him is one that paints an excellent picture for your company and I would gladly recommend your company and him to anyone that needs your services. When I move my home in a few years from now I look forward to having Allied and Danny be a part of that move.

I recently had a stellar move experience with Allegheny Valley Transfer Co. The experience was so awesome. The crew was punctual professional and courteous. The pricing ws right on target. I could not have asked for a better crew Larry, Mitchell and Tyler were awesome! They were careful handling my belongings. If they could get 20 stars, i would give them 20. Allegheny Valley Transfer in Pittsburgh are amazing. I cannot say enough good about Mary and her staff. Top Notch! Do not procrastinate hire them and your experience will be amazing.

This was our second move with Allied in one year. The crew of men were wonderful. They were efficient, polite, extremely hard working & very helpful. It was over 90 degrees yesterday & these men just kept working as hard as they could. Truly wonderful service. Mary is also great to work with. We highly recommend.

Our move needed to be rescheduled many times and the Scheduler was always very understanding. When moving day arrived the truck came right on time. It rained all day but they took such great care of the furniture and boxes that we didn't notice anything being wet. You could tell that they had survived similar moves! All the movers appeared conscientious and dedicated. Thanks for the fine job.

We have yet to receive (2 weeks late so far) the 2nd truckload of our belongings for a move from PA to SC. Unbelievably disappointing experience. waiting for a resolution.

These guys were great! This was my first move and I was a little nervous but it turned out to be pretty fun. Everyone was very courteous and you could tell that they really took pride in what they did. To top everything off the bill ended up being $129.00 less than the estimate. I would recommend Allegheny Valley Transfer to anyone that is looking to move.
