I had an AWESOME experience with Buckhead Movers! Wilbur and his team were wonderful to work with and they made sure to protect all of our furniture with blankets and plastic wrap. Nothing was scratched, dented, or lost! This was the best moving experience I've ever had and I cannot recommend them enough! Ask for Wilbur's team! You won't regret it.

Buckhead Movers helped me and my family moved into our new house and I would definitely use them again. They were professional, courteous, very-hard working, and took very good care of my furniture/belongings. I was at the gas station today when a crew from Buckhead Movers parked their truck to get lunch. On their way back out the driver threw a load of trash out of his door onto the ground and then they drove off. I was shocked that this is the quality of people representing this company. These guys were spectacular! I've never had an easier move. Everyone knows how stressful moving can be, but Buckhead Movers takes it to the next level in putting your worries at ease. Not to mention how professional the crew was. They accidentally put a hole in one of my interior doors moving a couch, immediately they notified me. 2 days later I get a call from Reuben who takes care of the whole bit, 2 days after that I have a new door. We recently contracted Buckhead Movers for our move. The experience was great. I worked with Glenn, who was very professional and knowledgeable in coordinating what we needed for the move. Additionally, in this time with a need for additional safety precautions, the crew put me and my family at ease with their use of safety measures like gloves and masks. I highly recommend Buckhead Movers.

My complaint is this is the most unprofessional, unacceptable, and horrible service I have received from a moving company. Buckhead Movers confirmed my moving date of Saturday (09/28/2019) which would start between 9am - 10am. I confirmed this with a representative via phone on Thursday (09/26/2019) and email on Friday (09/27/2019). Friday afternoon I received a call to change the moving time from 9am - 10 am to 1pm - 3 pm.

I was fine with that. Saturday morning, I received a call from the mover to confirm he and the moving crew would arrive between 1pm - 3pm. The moving crew never arrived at the specified time. An hour and a half had passed from the confirmed arrival time with no contact from the mover. I called the representative from Buckhead movers to inquire why the crew had not arrived.

He stated he would call the mover. The representative could not get into contact with the mover. I called the mover to inquire if they were still coming. This mover was rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. He stated, "Buckhead Movers screwed up call them. Me and my crew are not coming today." I informed the representative of my conversation with the mover.

The representative stated we cannot move you today. We can move you Sunday (09/29/2019) morning. This was a true inconvenience to me. I had already turned in my keys to the leasing office. My lease expired on Sat. 09/28/2019. I was left without movers and nowhere to go. If I had not called no one would have informed me of this cancellation. This was entirely unprofessional per Buckhead Movers.

I will not be using this moving company in the future and I will not be recommending them to anyone. The only reason I'm giving Buckhead movers one star is the movers on Sunday (Mike, Willie, and Ray) were awesome!

Truely a horrible experience. Took over 4 hours to move a one bedroom apartment. The movers were 3 hours let to start and then moved as slowly as possible throughout the process. Asked for me to round to the beginning of the hour even though the arrived at nearly 45 minutes into the hour. After finally getting everything loaded and getting to the new apartment proceeded to break a piece of furniture stop for nearly an hour to document the breakage (which I was not reimbursed for, either the time or the piece of furniture).

Once they finally got back to work one of the four workers I was forced to get to make it a faster process disappeared for a half hour while the other guys finished up. Then while signing paperwork the team leader again tried to round the hour up even thought it was only 5 after. Afterwards the company refused to help in anyway with the broken furniture or the fact that the employees were incredibly slow.

Also the team never hesitated throughout the process to make it clear that a tip is allowed/expected. Go with anywhere else this was a truly awful experience and should not be rewarded ever.

I see others have written scathing reviews about this company and wanted to make sure my experience was shared as well. So many issues I'm not sure where to start but to keep it short and stating facts: 1. My original quote was $7K to move from GA to MD. It ended up being over $14K. Shawn never came out to our house to look at what was being moved. 2.

They were 3 DAYS LATE past our scheduled delivery date which put us late going on vacation even though we still had to pay for our hotel and rearrange travel - not to mention being shorted of our family vacation. 3. You can FORGET about getting any kind of phone call from the owner or Shawn when trying to get any kind of response. Haven't heard from Shawn since the truck was delayed and never got a call from the owner despite leaving several messages.

The head mover Bruce told me he called them from Arkansas when he was a day away (he was sent to CA before our move and knew he was going to be delayed) to tell them he would be there the next day and to have his truck with our belongings ready so he could leave first thing the next day. Instead he arrived to find his truck not packed and was parked behind several other moving trucks which he had to move himself and perform his own truck inspection. 4.

Here is the BIG "We Got Screwed": We paid $600 for non-deductible insurance. They packed our big screen tv and when we opened it we could hear the parts inside fall to the ground. They didn't repair or replace it even though they packed it. 5. It has taken over 2 months after we submitted our claims to have any kind of answer and most of the issues we either had already fixed our selves or they denied our claim.

We had our builder repair the dents in the wall and the numerous scratches they left as well as replace a wooden step they damaged because it was a brand new home and we wanted it clean. 6. They dropped a king sized mattress over the balcony when they were packing the first house in GA and left a scrape down the wall, damaged a door jam, and dented the door handle below.

Have never mentioned it even though I sent pictures to Bruce about an hour after they left. Despite all of these issues, I still TIPPED and FED the crews on both legs of the trip. This is our 7th house and we have NEVER had these issues with any other moving company. I am appalled at their lack of accountability. We still have not received a reimbursement check or had our damaged furniture repaired and after reading other reviews I fear this will go on for quite some time.

I have pictures of all these items. I dare them to say I'm making any of this up. I will be calling the BBB to report this scummy company. Go ANYWHERE else. And if you read this and decide to take your business elsewhere, please call or email them and let them know this review is the reason you won't be using them. I have never written a review like this EVER but I'm just livid and shocked at their service.

The stars are entirely for Bruce's and his crew, Curtis and Brian. I won't go into the weeks of problems scheduling the move and getting the estimate to stay where it started--just assume it's like all other moving companies, get things in writing, and don't budge if they "discover" new charges right before your move. If you have a piano, be sure to open and close each conversation with "I have a piano, " and make sure they acknowledge you so you don't get a last-minute "bulky item" charge that wasn't there before.

But to focus on the positive--if Bruce's crew ran the company it would be the highest rated moving company in the land. The three guys were extremely polite and professional, and they dealt with a difficult downtown Atlanta loading job with complete calm. We had a condo building with a slow freight elevator, construction in progress that made the crew have to move the load farther, and an active driveway and traffic situation.

I was stressed--they were rock-solid and just got it done. Delivery was to another state. The next day, it was a huge relief to see Bruce and Curtis show up on time (sorry Brian wasn't there too). The two of them unloaded in 3-4 hours, and put everything right where we wanted it. A neighbor kid came over to see the big truck, and they halted for a few minutes to let him see the truck w/o danger, really made his day. If you go with this company, ask for this crew.

Honestly it was a terrible experience. The moving team broke a very expensive desk due to lack of experience, scratched my walls, and extremely slow considering it was an hourly rate. Claims department is as slow as the movers and constantly need to follow up to get anything done. Not recommended and not worth what was paid.

I used bulldog movers and they were great the first time. The second time buckhead movers came. I guess they're the same company. They did a nice job moving us the second time but they were maybe 2 hours late. We don't care about that since it is a local move. At least they are trustworthy

Jim McArthur was a professional. Quote was spot. Crew arrived within time frame. Had one piece slightly damaged, but they had someone come out to repair. Please remember to tip the crew, have water etc. Thanks Buckhead Movers!))

If you need a great moving crew, call Buckhead Movers and request Bruce and his crew! We have used Buckhead Movers 3 times, and Bruce and his crew are by far the best ever. They were extremely careful with all our furniture, took the time to wrap and seal things properly. I know moving companies don't always have the best reviews, but Bruce and his crew are by far superior over all the rest!

Very nice, very professional on the phone. But I booked 4 movers and they showed up with 3, which meant it took longer--which means the move was more expensive than I budgeted for. If they had shown up with all 4 of the movers I booked, it probably would have been a 5 star review. But this is a major issue, so I can't recommend them to anyone.

In response to Buckhead Movers. They did me no "courtesy" by trying to settle my claim. I paid for it! Beware again. Do NOT sign off that you received your items in good condition. After 2 full days of moving in, how can anyone possibly know if their items are broken or not when they are packed in boxes, crates and wrapped in cellophane? I have no idea who the person is who responded to my review.

I went above and beyond to send pictures, call and email this company to settle my claim. By the way, make sure if you do have a claim to correspond by email in case you need to sue this company. Luckily I did not have to go that route since I was able to contact their insurance.

Not a good experience. We are missing an iPad Pro and have a broken table. The claims process is not easy.

My wife and I have used Buckhead Movers 3 times and have never had a bad experience. Their team moves quickly without sacrificing quality of work. We have never had a broken or lost items when moving with them. Most recently, my wife and I moved into our first home in Acworth, Ga from a two bedroom townhouse in Smyrna. The whole process literally took 2 1/2 hours, when you count the fact that the drive from Smyrna to Acworth is about 30 minutes the actual moving took less time.

We were amazed at how quick they were and how great their team was in putting everything exactly where we wanted it! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Buckhead Movers to friends and family in the future.

We used Buckhead Movers and I am very impressed. After a very bad experience with Two Men and a Truck we were a bit worried about hiring movers again. Jeff and his team erased all fear. Our movers were incredibly nice, they made it to our location early and set right to work. Everything was properly wrapped and moved very carefully with no damage.

Even though the team ended up being only two guys rather than three (the rate was adjusted to reflect that) they knocked the job out without complaint. I highly recommend Buckhead Movers if you want everything done correctly the first time and you don't want to break the bank. I'll be calling them again.

My fiance and I moved apartments and we are so glad we hired these guys! They were extremely professional and personable. They were very meticulous with packaging and wrapping our furniture. Nothing was broken or damaged! It was a sigh of relief at the end of the day that everything went smoothly. We will definitely be using this company again for our next move.

I called Buckhead Movers yesterday to get a quote for my move next month. I left a message for Jeff around 4ish and he called me back a little after 5pm. Jeff is very professional and thorough! He took the time to explain everything in detail to me and then went over it again when I had questions. He broke down the pricing, the driving and everything needed to make the appointment.

He said I sounded pretty young based on my voice and gave me some advice about the move. It felt like I was speaking with my Dad, which is a really good thing for me! He went over the benefits of hiring them, such as performing routine background checks on all their employees, their employees are full-time - not contracted and they've been in business for 30 years.

I didn't end up booking the appointment because a group of friends and family volunteered to help us move. But if I didn't have friends to help, I would totally book them today!

We used Buckhead Movers to move my daughter from one apartment in Atlanta to another. The date was moved up at the last minute. Jeff was able to accommodate the change anyway. The 3 movers were friendly but professional. They allowed my daughter to use their wardrobe boxes, which was extremely helpful. They helped my husband load boxes and furniture that we were bringing home with us. I highly recommend Buckhead Movers and would definitely use them again.

I called and set up my appointment for 4 movers at $150 an hour. I was also given a 2 hour window (between 8-10) for the movers to arrive, and they arrived at 8:15 with FIVE movers! These guys were fantastic. Everyone introduced themselves, were very respectful, and fast moving. We were finished so quickly moving from one place to another, that my only issue was not having enough cash to give each movers a bigger tip (each got a tip, but it was the cash I had planned for the 4 guys, not five). Great movers, friendly, professional, and efficient. Highly recommend.

They did a great job. We had well over 100 packed boxes, including furniture and fragile items. We moved from the city to Gwinnett. Cost: -They charge $150 an hour for 4 guys and a large truck. Our move from the city to Gwinnett took about 6-7 hrs. We paid about $1200 for our move. -They automatically charge 1 hour for transportation to and from their headquarters, so that will be added to the moving hours and does not include their actual drive time of your items to the new move-in location.

This is pretty standard. (TIP: Make sure to avoid those places that want to know your inventory or the weight of your boxes. They pull bait and switch tactics and no one on earth knows their inventory or the weight of their items, so I specifically sought out a service with a flat hourly rate). -Overall, spending money on professional movers will be some of the best money that you will ever spend.

Imagine the cost if you injure your back or the weeks of time versus hours that it will take to do this on your own or with your friends. -Make sure to budget for tipping your movers at least $20 each. These guys bust their butts more than anyone. Also, keep bottled water and snacks handy for them and make sure to bring toilet paper to the new location since they will need to use the restroom. Pros: -Our point of contact Jeff was super responsive and professional. -The guys that showed up got the job down and we tipped them all.

They didn't slack off at all. -We have hardwood floors in the new place and we didn't want scratches. These guys are definite pros and they automatically wrap furniture, lay cardboard down on floors, and listen when you mark certain boxes and fragile. They knew what to do and we didn't feel the need at all to get involved in their process. -There were no broken items and not one scratch on the hardwoods or any smudges on the walls!

That is impressive. Cons: -The only minor con that I observed is that the movers stopped to fill up for gas on our dime, once they were in transit with our items. Since we already paid for an hour of travel time, I expected their truck to be prefilled and ready to go before they showed up at our door. Unlike stopping for gas with a car, it takes a bit of time for truck to maneuver into a station and fill up and we paid for this time.

Bulldog and Buckhead Movers are now one in the same although still using two separate names on the trucks, etc. I called Buckhead Movers but the truck said Bulldog when it arrived, so I guess I will put this review on both pages. Aside from the slight name confusion, this process was a breeze! I called and was given a quote. $130/hr for 3 movers. Sounds good.

I put down a $100 deposit. When I initially called, I was given a 2 hour window in which the guys would arrive. And they arrived right in the middle of that. Perfect! All 3 guys were very nice and worked very efficiently even in the terrible heat we were having. Efficient, but very careful! Not one glass broken when I unpacked in the new place. They did not lollygag for a minute.

I kept trying to have them sit and drink water but they kept on moving. I did load them up on cold drinks for their drive. Did I mention it was hot?! At the end of the move, I paid exactly what I was quoted and was able to use my credit card for that and then gave a cash tip to each guy. Husband and I both agree we will definitely call this place again.

I will never, ever, Ever, EVER move without professional help again. I'm the first to admit that I'm not a rich girl, and hiring movers did make me feel a little bougie, but honest-to-god, y'all, Buckhead Movers made my stress level go from 9.1 to 2 (on a ten point scale) in no time flat. My boyfriend and I were moving from two separate apartments to one house, so I anticipated that the move was going to be tricky.

Not so! There was one little hitch (turns out they couldn't fit the moving truck under the Krog Street Tunnel to get to Cabbagetown) but it was fixed quickly and the communication was smooth. Once the movers arrived, it was smooth going. If I had moved everything myself with friends, it would have taken 5 hours to do my apartment alone. With Buckhead movers, they loaded both apartments, unloaded everything where we wanted it in the new house (without any damage), and were out the door in under 3 and a half hours.

I kid you not, friends, this was a major feat. All I had to do was sit back and watch (or not watch, as it happens, when they delicately moved my couch out of my apartment by handing it over the second floor balcony ((which was how it had to be, I got it in the same way))) - when I tried to help I was politely shooed away and told to relax. Yes sir, I am a fan of Buckhead Movers.

It wasn't as expensive as I had anticipated hiring movers being - so I had a little cash left over. I tipped my movers well and will be calling them again if I ever get antsy and decide to relocate again.
