Aaron's Reliable Movers

We just used Aaron's Reliable Movers to move from a two-bedroom in Wicker Park to a three-bed in Edgewater. Aaron's crew was professional, efficient, and nice. The move came in at ~$80 less than the amount they estimated. I would gladly use them again. Highly recommend!

If 0 stars was an option, I would choose it. We moved into a brand new/new build home. The movers cracked 2 door ways and took a chunk out of a banister. I have called multiple times to complain and they just avoid answering and calling back. The one time I did speak to Ron, he basically accused me of trying to scam them (I paid in full) and said his movers didn't damage anything although I sent pictures.

One mover smells like marijuana. Overall, horrible experience. Will NEVER use again and will NOT recommend their business. Unprofessional and only after your money. Could care less about your personal belongings.

Some disturbing problems with recent move: 1. The movers arrived smelling strongly of marijuana. 2. An "extra" worker was sent, and he was obviously ill (contagious?), and only worked part of the time. (He had to lie down in the back of the truck / several long bathroom breaks.) After speaking to the company about this, I was told that I wouldn't be billed for his time. 3.

After the movers left, I discovered a large cigarette burn on the top surface of my recently refinished antique wooden sewing cabinet. (During a previous move by this company, one year ago, the corner of an antique mirror was cracked off.) I have not contacted the moving company owners about the cigarette burn damage. I reported the other issues, but received no apology or sense of concern.

Aaron and Jason from Aaron's Reliable Movers showed up to move our huge China cabinet 3 floors up within an hour of my calling them! They were meticulous about caring for the cabinet and my floors! I recommend them highly! 100% satisfied and happy!

We needed movers last minute for a marble-topped conference table. Ron was able to squeeze us in between appointments and then even managed to be early because they finished their prior job so quickly! He then finished my job faster than I would have imagined with his crew. They were polite, friendly, and conscientious. And when our building requested a change to the COI, Maria had it taken care of quickly so there were no issues. Highly, highly recommend.

They were perfect in every single way possible. Easiest move ever!

We thought we were in good hands, but those hands were dirty, dirty, thieves! I cannot believe I was violated in my own home! I provided water for every single guy on the job, no one said thank you, and while I was filling up the cups, one of the movers entered my bedroom stole jewelry, I saw him leaving the room but I thought he was using the restroom.

We called Aaron, we talked to Maria (the owners) and I'm not sure which person was more of a POS. Neither of them cared that their employee stole, and they both were rude when we asked for our jewelry back! Instead of trying to make things right. DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS. They are all thieves and have no soul.

Aaron's reliable movers showed up for my husband and I (same day request) after having to fire our first movers (allstar movers). They were professional, clean, on time and most importantly of all treated all of our things with the utmost respect and care. I will ONLY use Aaron's reliable movers for my future needs and will be recommending them to all of my friends and family who need help moving. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We needed to move my father who had lived in his house for a long time and had not gone through it's contents in many years. Finding Aaron's was so fortuitous for us! The key thing was that they did it all! Disposal, packing, moving out of state, and did a beautiful job with his art collection! They were so professional, hard working, and good natured during an unbelievably stressful time!

And when we couldn't get the 2nd dumpster in time, they were so flexible and took some things to the dump for us instead! They made it work and they got it done! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The best experience I've ever had when it comes to moving. Very professional, very gentle with my furniture and things. Not one thing broken, cracked, chipped, scratched or overall destroyed! Now that's a first for me and I move alot due to my career. The guys were also really great, very personable and considerate to my needs.

I called Aaron's Reliable Movers in a panic the morning of my move because the other moving company that I had hired failed to show up. I cannot express how kind and helpful everyone I talked to was. They fit me into their schedule, and called often throughout the morning to give me updates about when they were arriving. I wish I had hired them right off the bat to save a lot of stress and panic. Saved the day, Other moving company I hired was going to show up late and I had a certain window for the elevator on the drop-off. Called and spoke to Ronald and he sent over a crew within the hour. First and foremost I recommend this business if you have a logistics problem of any caliber and need nothing but a solution. I first learned of Ron & Maria's logistics business by chance when I walked up to a guy across a street from me. Malcolm, a driver for Aaron's Reliable, listened to my questions. I had volunteered myself to provide 13,000 backpacks filled with school supplies to CPS schools without understanding what that truly meant. Aaron's Reliable gave me the ease of a confident answer.

Then they delivered. A husband & wife who understand business behind high art and high volume.a company who can handle them both.drivers who are more like consultants than the hard workers they proved to be (while sweating bullets in the backs of trucks).well they should always be trusted to deliver. If you ask it, they will service. But it's the silence between the ask and the delivery which make Aaron's Reliable worth it. You get what you pay for. I plan on paying this business again and again.

Fantastic moving service - these guys are pros. They not only handled my delicate items with grace and care, but they also went above and beyond to ensure my bulk items did not scuff up the newly-painted walls of my home. Additionally, they we very accommodating when I asked them to move a grill as it wasn't able to fit through sliding-glass doors to access our deck; they instead used muscle power (and skill) to hoist the grill up a 20-foot wall to get it to where I wanted it.

If you're looking for truly "reliable" movers, I highly recommend Aaron's Reliable Movers service. 5 well-deserved stars. I've been using Aaron's Reliable Movers for over 10 years now. Each time I go back it gets even easier and better. Maria is always extremely nice when taking my calls, Ron is always very knowledgeable and fair with the pricing, and the crew is always prompt, courteous, and professional. Started out well. Then quickly went downhill. Broken dresser (some drawers do not close completely), wooden chest dropped and broken lock, framed picture with glass shattered and they just wrapped it and put it in the van WITH THE BROKEN GLASS. Loosened an antique table making it very wobbly. Scratched several pieces of artwork and furniture. I called Maria and thought something would be done, but nothing. When I need to move again, I will look elsewhere.

Terrific packers! Every element of my cross state line move went smooth. They are extremely good with art and antiques. The entire team was courteous. I trust them for any move. Also great with art installation.

Horrible, horrible experience. They charged me $800 to move 4 kitchen appliances to South Bend, IN area. While unloading the cooking range, one worker dropped the oven door from a 4ft height then tried to cover up the damage to the door. Afterwards, 2 of the men tried to move the range into the proper place in my garage on a single improperly placed dolly (which I warned them about ahead of time.) They disregarded my concern and the range tilted forward, significantly bending the kickplate.

They then tried to hammer the kickplate damages back into place but were unsuccessful. I immediately called back "Maria" who was my contact person from the company to complain about the poor quality of service. Her husband "Ron" answered. After I told him I was livid with their service and that they sent unskilled men to my house, he proceeded to yell at me and tell me I needed to speak to him with more respect.

He hung up on me mid-sentence. Then he called back again demanding that I be nicer and more respectful to him all the while raising his voice at me. He again hung up on me. The situation was not resolved. I've never had an experience like this before.

What a great experience I had with Aaron's Reliable. This is the second time I've used them, and the experience has been flawless both times. This is my go to company for my next pick up or delivery. I was in a bind with my antique piece that was being handled by someone in NY that was giving me the run around. One call to Ron at Aaron's who was already in NY and was able to pick up my piece and deliver it safely to me in Chicago.

I can't explain in words the relief I got knowing that he picked it up from the auction house and packed it superbly. They take handling your items seriously and aim to bring it to you in perfect shape. I highly recommend their services and will use them again. I was told that they can move aquariums, which I have and will be moving in the future. Thank you guys on a job well done!

The crew at Aaron's reliable movers did everything right. Maria answered all my questions returned calls in a timely manner and was a very reassuring voice in the chaotic process that accompanies a home purchase. The crew of four led by Kevin arrived and attacked the task at hand like serious pros. (If there's a movers hall of fame they should all be inducted into it.) Fair price, properly insured and reliable sums it all up. Thanks Aaron's!

They should change their name to "Not So Reliable". I had them booked for a move three weeks before the move. I called several times to confirm but they did not call back. They called the week before the move to ask if I could change date. They took another move and did not want my business. If you book them make sure you have a back up plan. Maria and Ron can probably give you another name.

This moving company is awesome. Ron & Maria are very responsive and ask for LaVaughn as your lead mover-- he was amazing is getting the crew motivated and working hard. The crew accidentally put a hole in the wall, and Ron has been in communication to help fix this issue. I highly recommend this company for any move-- they will take care of you.

I have used Aaron's twice now. The first time, in 2008, we completely an interstate move here to Chicago with another company. The movers from that other company had never encountered a tall skinny city townhouse before, and had no idea what to do with our larger pieces. After about 6 hours of inertia I asked them to leave the rest in the garage.

The next day i called Aaron's who in two hours moved everything to where it was supposed to be. A few weeks ago I called Aaron's again to move extraneous pieces to storage. Edwin and Matt came and were great. They were so polite and worked efficiently to pad and wrap the antiques. Edwin remembered that he had come to work in the townhouse eight years ago. Edwin is incredibly professional and Matt was professional and pleasant, also. I would unquestionably recommend their services to anyone. Yes, it is more expensive, but it is worth it.

Let me first say as an IT professional I treat my electronics with the same care I treat a small child. When I recently setup my first office I required a moving service that would take the same care Of my equipment as I would've. All of my computers and servers were wrapped in foam and padding as was requested and my furniture was wrapped as well.

I was referred to Aarons Reliable by a client of mine who had used them for a full 25 person office move and found them to give me the same attention to detail as a larger customer. I was kept aware of the move status and when I stepped off site never felt things weren't in good hands. I will use this service again.

Could a move have happened any smoother? : I hired Aaron's Reliable Movers and everything was SUPER smooth AND professional. Moves alone can be stressful, but, all of the guys were very courteous and helpful, which helped put me at ease. They were very careful with my furniture by padding it and packing my art so there was no damage. Yessss! To say that I was pleased would be an understatement! I would most definetly refer them for anyone in need of a great moving company! Kudos to Aaron's!

Not reliable at all. Quote was reasonable - the service charge came out three times as much for the move and it took more than twice the number of hours. One mover was drinking on the job - very unprofessional. I would never use them again, ever! Oh, and they were very late in starting. The only reason I selected them to begin with was they had a Skokie address - I'm wondering just what kind of company this really is?

And they poked holes in the bottom sides of many of my boxes. Were there zero stars to give, that would have been my rating. And on the phone, checks were no problem. In person, there was a comment but the guy did take the check. This business is bogus!

I just hired Ron and his company to help me move a 360 gallon fishtank and stand. They did a great job with a very delicate item. This thing had to be very carefully moved out of a guy's small house with super narrow doorways. The tank made it safely to my space without a scratch. Very easy to work with and super nice to me.

We used Aaron's Reliable for our office move today. They are a bit more expensive, but they were quick, friendly and wrapped the large items we needed to move without damage very well. Believe it or not, we had 3 life size statues of Alvin and the Chipmunks and they moved them very gingerly and packed them well. When they arrived, they came up, introduced themselves and were very friendly.

They immediately started and got the office cleared out pretty fast (considering our very slow freight elevators). The only reason they didn't get 5 stars is because they didn't tell us when they left for our storage facility (we had to meet them there to open the facility, but since we didn't know they'd left we probably got charged more because I don't know how long they were waiting there. I had to go to our dock to see the truck was gone.) Other than that, they were very professional.

My move went very smoothly and I have no complaints. I have used two other Chicago movers in the past year and would recommend Aaron's without hesitation. I was a "military spouse" so I have definitely had my fair share of experience with moving companies, and this one was top-notch. I called on a Wednesday and they were able to squeeze me in for a move that Friday.

I felt like they were very up front about costs. When I scheduled my move the lady I spoke with reviewed my estimate with me twice to ensure that I understood; then at the start of my move Ron reviewed it with me again, which I thought was very professional and honest. Ron was also very good about updating me the morning of my move to let me know that they were running on time, etc.

I appreciated the fact that he narrowed down the two-hour window because then I was able to get some errands done, rather than sitting around wasting time. I found that to be really thoughtful and it eased some of the stress I was feeling on the day of my move. They were fair, fast and honest.

Some things were good, some things a little less so, which I think is par for the course with professional movers. A huge plus is that Aaron's Reliable actually answered their phone on a Sunday afternoon after those horrible All My Sons people left me stranded. The lady who answered the phone was very nice and very professional and gave me Ron's number so that I could contact him directly. Ron called me back after a while and said they could help me.

Another big plus. I definitely should have discussed cost and those details, but I was just relieved to have someone say they could move me at that point. A few hours later, three guys showed up - Brian, Edwin, and Walter - and immediately got to work. They were all professional and nice, and they took excellent care of my stuff, worked quickly, and, you know, weren't sketchy.

My only complaint is that my move took not quite an hour and a half but cost $360 plus tip, of course. They have a two-hour minimum that I didn't know about and wish I had, because I definitely had another half hour of work that they could have helped me with - and that I paid for, you know? My boyfriend was kind of in shock at the cost. BUT they did good, fast work, so I'd rather pay through the teeth than have another shoddy moving experience such as ALL MY SONS, grr!
