Careful Movers

This mover truly cares. I was heaitant to move a hot tub - because so much can go wrong in the move; leaving one with a many thousands of dollar piece of scrap. From start to finish, Careful Movers did everything right. The scheduling was simple, their bid was transparent, fair, and honest. They even scheduled me earlier than I could have reasonably hoped.

The price was worth every penny. The crew doing the job were truly experts. Beyond strength, they had the calm, efficient, careful professionalism of surgeons. They treated the tub as though it were their own while negotiating a tough extraction. I can't say enough how great they were. This is an excellent company with excellent professional movers, experts at moving hobs requiring real skill. I have no family, friendship, or financial interest in the company. I'm just a very grateful and happy customer.

They're ok. Not that careful or gentle. They didn't wear shoe covers. They did not have floor protectors. There were some dings and scratches on the walls. I heard a loud thud as the mover placed a heavy box down. I am not planning on coming back to this company. This was our first time using a moving company and Careful Movers made it a great experience. First, I appreciated that they were able to get me on their schedule with shorter notice and provided me all the information I needed to book with them. During the move Angel, Tristan and Lucas were quick, efficient and handled all home goods with care. I would recommend Careful Movers and hope to use them again in the future if we have to make another move.

Great company to work with. We had a very difficult and complicated hot tub move up a hill on our side yard. Slippery slope, boulders, tight corners, etc. They rigged up a series of ramps and made it look easy. Larry (I think was the owner's name) came to the job because it was so difficult and he wanted to make sure it was right (they didn't just walk away and say no after seeing it).

He was super supportive of his crew; he wasn't barking orders, he was confident and a great coach to them. It was really a pleasant experience and worth the money and I'd recommend this crew for all your big moving needs.

I thought this place was really good. In fact the first time I hired them they did a great job and i gave them a great review. Well the second time not so much. During the second time I hired them, the crew took almost an hour to start loading anything. The guys were losing their phones and more worried about the story of why we were moving out than doing their jobs.

After they finally got done loading the guy says to me they are going to stop at the store and grab something to drink, while they had a full case of water already in the truck. The worst part is they broke the leg off my expensive dresser and scratched my $2000 TV. I have put in a damage claim and its been almost a month for them to come fix the leg on my dresser.

All i keep getting back in email is they are looking into it and all they have to is ask the movers because the were the ones who told me to file a damage claim. I was waiting until they fixed my dresser to write this review, because if they did it in a timely matter than it wouldn't be so bad, but unfortunately it didn't work out that well. I will not be calling them ever again and i wouldn't recommend this company to any one else.

By far best experience with movers ive had so far. They handled everything from packing to moving and storing my house while i was looking for a new home. They were on time, reasonably priced, and everything got back the way we left it! Great family company and customer experience. Thanks guys!

I can not believe how stress free these guys made moving day for me. I am so thrilled, they made sure everything was safe and nothing got damaged. I have some seriously big and heavy items and they didn't even bat an eye, they made it happen! Love them, will absolutely be using them again for any moving needs I have. Thank you guys!

I have hired Careful Movers five times over the years because I can always count on them to go above and beyond. The team is professional, kind, easy to communicate with and highly attentive. During my most recent move they also helped me with last minute packing and made the whole process smooth and efficient.

Great team. Very professional. They work very fast. Sprinting up stairs at times. They have great care not to damage anything. Experts driving those large trucks and backing up in tight spaces. Absolutely fantastic. I am very happy I hired them.

We hired Careful Movers a couple of times to move my daughter to Ellensburg and back. They were punctual, hard working, and took very good care of our belongings. Triston went above and beyond to help us out and get us on the schedule when we needed it, very accommodating and very much appreciated. Highly recommend!

I needed my hot tub moved from western WA to eastern WA. Empty it weighs 800lbs, so I was unable to move it myself. I called a few local companies, and Triston with Careful Movers was really the only one that was happy to help. I told him what I needed and described the ease of access for the pickup and drop-off locations. He quoted me what I felt was a fair price, and in the end it was the exact same price that I paid.

They stored my hot tub for several weeks while I waited for my new home purchase to close. They kept me up-to-date with scheduling during the entire process, answered any questions I had along the way, and were always professional and courteous. I'm very happy with my decision to utilize their services!

Awesome family owned and operated company! Have used several times for moves in Edmonds area as well as on the Olympic peninsula. They took good care of my baby grand piano and provided storage for a short time between house closings as well. Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing job. 3 nice men showed up a 1/2 hour early. They worked non stop for 10 full hours. Nothing broke. We moved 2 unpacked apartments. We're talking upstairs and hills. It was unbelievable. If you want a job well done hire these guys. Oh, and I lost my contact info but they called to confirm the day before. I will definitely be hiring these guys again. There were impressive!

I have used Careful Movers twice now and they did an awesome job! Johann and Steve were great! They arrived on time and finished quicker than originally anticipated. They really made my move as seamless and easy as possible. I cannot recommend these guys enough!

I had Careful Movers move some items for me today. A baby Grand Piano, two enterantment centers, a roll-top desk and a bench. They did a GREAT JOB. Johann and Steve were on time, easy to deal with, careful, and worked hard. I could not be happier. They RAWK!

Careful Movers was hired to move a hot tub from one residence to another (3 miles) for my boss. We received a quote of between $700 - $800 for the move. We agreed to this. When the movers arrived, the moving company called me and said that due to the scope of work they would need to increase the bid from high end of $800 to an additional $150.00 For a total of $950.00.

At the point they called, they had already begun moving the tub, so clearly was no longer an option to decline service. I felt nervous, so I left work to go oversee the move myself. When the movers first touched the tub, it was holding water just fine. When my boss had the tub serviced, cleaned and filled.it no longer held water. When I reached out to the company regarding a solution, they claimed no liability and offered no assistance.

We recently hired Careful Movers to move us from Seattle to Bellingham when we couldn't find anyone else for the date we needed to move. I can only say they went way beyond the call of duty to accommodate us. They were extremely careful in moving our belongings and even came in under their original bid when the moving was finished. We would recommend "Careful" to anyone considering a move in the Greater Seattle area without hesitation. A+++ You guys Rock!

Highly recommended. Will use this company again. Martin responded in a timely manner to my request and was courteous and thorough. My timeline was super short and he was able to get my move scheduled for the same week. Jack and Seth arrived early and worked efficiently and quickly. They were really pleasant and careful with my items. Moving sucks but it sucked significantly less with this awesome service. Thank you a million times over.

I found this moving company by "word of mouth" & I am so glad I did.they are EXCELLENT! They are very easy to work with, from Martin who answers the phone & schedules your move, to the movers who do the actual move, who are very experienced & efficient in ALL aspects of your move (including driving the most efficient route to save you $). This family run business is super fast and they LOVE the heavy stuff! They moved everything heavy from our four bedroom home across town within five and a half hours and charged a very reasonable rate. In the process, they delicately moved our piano and muscled their way through our hot tub. I would and have recommended these guys every time for a legitimate small and professional business you can trust!

Update: The replacement item was delivered and moved in with no problems and a reasonably high degree of professionalism. At best I have to say that this experience overall was mixed.

Awful! 1) Late 2) movers smelled like ashtrays 3) underestimated our move even after telling them they needed more than two movers 4) they left saying they were going to pick up another mover and never returned or called Don't use ever - terrible!

I've been so busy post move that neglected to write a review! We moved from Seattle to MLT - two Bed apartment (first floor) to a Condo (second floor). Move went just fine - the movers arrived on time - were ready to go right away - have plenty of moving pads and used cellophane to protect drawer (and keep them shut). They had a truck that was perfect size and we didn't need to do "two runs" to get it done.

We even had the classic "OMG" this item won't go down the hall moment towards the end of the move. After a few minutes of head scratching the movers figured out it came apart in half. They took it apart, moved it to place and reassembled it. Total cost of move was around $500 for a little over 3 1/2 hours. I did the packing myself and nothing of ours were damaged. I was really impressed and if I have to move again I am calling Careful Movers.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! First, they lost my record several times. Showed up very late for pick-up (in an unmarked horse trailer!), dropped several boxes during the pick-up and then provided me with no paperwork, no contracts, nothing. After going around and round with them for days trying to schedule the drop-off, they showed up late again and the movers (who showed up smoking cigarettes in their cab) came onto me in a VERY uncomfortable way (I'm a woman, alone, and you're in my apartment - wtf?!) Overall, my experience with them was absolutely not worth the money I saved. Always remember: you get what you pay for. Careful Movers/All Star - NOT RECOMMENDED.

I used Careful Movers four years ago when I was recarpeting and remodeling. They took almost a moving-truck load of old furniture to the dump, including a huge and enormously heavy upright piano, and moved the rest of my furniture onto the deck while the house was recarpeted, and then back into the house when it was done. So no actual boxing up or "moving", but a lot of heavy lifting and schedule coordination.

The (mostly) positives: 1. On fairly short notice, they worked with me to get things done on schedule, to meet the requirements of the carpet people and to get things back into the house quickly when that was done. They were not particularly punctual, and not particularly responsive to calls about late arrivals, but the delays were not major and everything pretty much got done when it had to get done, and again, it was on fairly short notice. 2.

For the effort involved, the price was reasonable. 3. The workers were pleasant and set about to work efficiently. The big negative: 1. They were not very careful. First, they broke a large glass dining tabletop. As I was semi-inclined to get rid of the table anyway, this was no big deal to me, but it could have been a big deal to someone else. Then in moving the piano, they caused a long scratch clear across the dining room hardwood floor, another long gouge scratch across the porch deck, and broke a porch floorboard. Now, this was a very heavy piano, but it was moved into the house without damage, so it was possible to handle it with adequate care.

Even that, however, is not why I rated the company down; accidents happen. The problem was that, although the damage was noted on the contract and the workers assured me the company would call to get it fixed, they never did. My several calls to the office to try to deal with the matter were answered along the lines of, "I'll have to look into it, " and never followed through on. I've still got an ugly scratch on my floor to remind me of not-so-"Careful" Movers. The lack of interest in or effort to resolve a problem would make it unlikely that I would use their services again.

These people are RIPOFF ARTISTS! I hired them for a move, and they said they had a minimum numbers of hours for a Saturday move. The movers insisted that I pay up front. After working only half the time I'd paid for, they said they had to leave to go to another job! I told them that I had more things to move and reminded them that I had paid for more time.

They refused to finish the job. I called the office and asked about getting someone else to come or getting a partial refund. The manager refused to do anything to fix the situation. I found someone else to help with the rest of the move the next day. By the time we got back to my former residence, my former landlord had already thrown away the rest of my possessions. I lost a lot of money because of these scumbags.

Ok I move a lot more than most people and I hate moving myself (you know, renting the truck, cashing in on favors from friends, etc), so I use a moving company. I have used Careful Movers for the past 3 moves and let me tell you, I could not have been more pleased with the service. They are affordable, efficient, they show up when they say they will and they don't 'lose' or break stuff.

My moves have been relatively short distance and not very complex, but it's great to know there's a local company I can count on. I plan to use them again this summer! Update 8/29/07: we moved again in July and once again we used Careful Movers. They did not disappoint - right on time, right on budget and they worked very fast. I stand by my opinion and will use them again when I have to move again.

Came down to the northern Green Lake area, no problem, very nice folks, on time, and efficient. They moved me out of Door-to-Door storage pods and into the house, so I don't know how they do moving. Per the norm, they charged flat-rate for drive time and 3-hour minimum. While they are called "Careful" Movers, I don't think they're any more careful than any other moving service.

They didn't notice their dolly was scratching the front steps, and they dented a wall while moving a large piece of furniture that we didn't notice until they left, but really, they're only human. I needed them on a Sunday and only called on the preceding Thursday, and that was no problem (no "overtime" for it being a weekend). Pretty much the only place in the area that always answered their phone and didn't balk at "stupid" questions, so I'd recommend them and use them again.
