Never have I ever had to in my years of using other services had to leave a terrible rating on anyones page, however; Robbie was extremely unprofessional in our time line and getting my shipment to me, then tried to blame me the customer because he could not meet the full agreed upon time, I told his associate at 12PM & the communication they received was between 10AM-12PM and Robbie still left before 11AM, when I tried to call back and reschedule Robbie and his team sent me on a run around then in a fit of anger pushed all the blame on me as if I was the one responsible for him leaving early & hung up on me, I have no clue how to get my personal belongings & he was very unprofessional with a retired veteran. Terrible customer service, I would never come here again.

Use this company to move from Virginia to Rhode Island for a military move, half of our things are broken Or damaged. The movers they sent in Rhode Island were young, cursing the whole time, we're blaring offensive music from their vehicle while working. And only stayed six hours to move an entire home in, putting 80% of our belongings in the garage and then leaving.
Only one of the 4 here dis any set up! Left things on opened, and place all of our bathroom things in the garage where we can now not get to it, also put our sons clothing box in the garage or we cannot get to it. So basically we are stuck. And now it's a Saturday evening and we can't get a hold of anybody with a company! Would never recommend this company, EVER!

I had a great experience with Reads. Not my first time using them; worked with Reads on corporate moves a few times, and they moved my home now twice. First, their estimate was spot on. It is amazing to me that they are able to eyeball your "stuff" and know how much you have. Charges are by weight and distance. The moving team assigned to my home (Randy and Anthony) were undoubtedly their A-Team.
It is amazing how much experience the team at Reads has, and it is my hope that they all feel a sense of pride in this. Randy and Anthony showed up on Monday to pack me nice and early. They both had a great sense of humor, and lifted, moved, and carefully wrapped and packed items so quickly, I felt like I had a 4 or 5 man crew. They must go through shoes at an incredible rate.
The truck was packed so expertly, that I do not think a mouse could have even fit in the truck along with the cargo. Whatever they are making, I can tell you they deserve a raise; having people that hustle like they do, can think quickly on their feet, and who show such enthusiasm on the job is a rare thing indeed. On Tuesday, they were joined by Billy, and to have well over half a century of moving experience -- between Randy and Billy alone, really showed.
Not only did they all go above and beyond in every way, the move took half the time that I expected. With three people, unloading went like a flash, and all three of the gentlemen were kind, patient, and even relocated a few things that we couldn't decide on. They helped to unwrap and reassemble the furniture too. I am impressed in every way, and cannot imagine more capable people exist anywhere.
I even learned a new way to carry boxes behind me thanks to some coaching by Billy. I know he is "moving on" from Reads (couldn't resist the pun), but will think of him every time I move a box behind my back now. -- It is surprisingly convenient! Thank you to Reads. Especially Randy and Anthony.

This company was fantastic for my move. The nice person who came out to inspect my house in order to give me a quote, the people in the office who went over the paperwork and guaranteed delivery date and time were fantastic! The day of loading. Scott and his team showed up on time, were over and above pleasant and professional and got our house packed quickly, cleanly and organized.
The day of unloading was the same, I could not of been happier and I don't write reviews much. The finale price was within dollars of the quote. Use this company, they were great!

We used Reads to move across the country and after having a chance to unpack everything and move in. We realized a fair bit of our possessions were missing. When we contacted Reads for questions about our missing items. They ignored our questions and did not respond or answer any questions. We are dearly missing our sentimental possessions. I cannot recommend this company due to there total lack of professionalism.

Absolutely, positively, the best move we have ever done. And considering this was #14 during my military career, that is about as strong of an endorsement as you can get. We had ZERO items broken in a full truck in June. First time that has ever happened. That included a full size hot tub that a forklift was needed to get on the truck, french door fridge, front loading washing machine and dryer, everything we had in a 4 bedroom and full basement house in PA.
I was certain we had cubed out the truck.but they were better in that regard too.no "oops", it didn't fit and trying to figure out what to do with another truck. Never seen so much attention to both the house we moved out of and into for damage, including things like covering all carpets and floors. Beyond that, the driver James and his crew were over the top attentive to our requests in terms of schedule and making door to door work. BL, I can't stress how good these guys were. I know exactly who will be moving me in two years for my next PCS. Reads Moving Systems!

I was very disappointed to have my motorcycle damaged by Reads moving staff. The local movers in VA were did an exceptional job. I watched them load all of my possessions with great care and strapped everything snug and tight. I helped them load my motorcycle and watched them wrap it up and take great care in making sure it was safe and secure. Unfortunately it seems that's where the excellent service ended.
Our belongings had to be placed into storage at the Reads Movers Philadelphia location which is where I believe things went south. Sometime between the unloading into their warehouse, and loading back onto the truck is when the damage must have occurred. When the local movers here in NY opened the trailer, the comment heard was "Oh my God. It looks like a tornado went through the trailer." It was a complete mess. (The local guys up here were awesome as well by the way) My busted up motorcycle was off loaded first and we needed to figure out a way to prop it up because the kickstand was bent to 90 degree angle, parallel to the ground.
When I brought it to the dealership I was told that the frame was bent and that there was no way damage like that was due to a simple fall in the back of a trailer. There was also other damage to the body and mirror. The claims process was horrible as well although that was not the fault of Reads. Of course, Atlas Movers were ready to pay the claim quickly until they spoke with Reads' owner.
I don't know what he told them, but after that conversation Atlas decided to have an appraisal of the bike which turned up exactly the same information as the dealership stated. All it did was delay my claim a few more days. The only bright spot I saw with Reads was the driver. Ted was excellent. He was very helpful, friendly and extremely apologetic with regard to the damage. He even volunteered his personal cell phone number if I needed it. If and when I ever move again, I will make sure that I use a different moving company.
