I was in a need to get a very large SwimSpa moved and quickly from a home that had sold. JR and his team got the move done quickly and did an amazing job. This SwimSpa dry weight was almost 2,500 lbs and they moved it with no damages and very fast. They bring the right tools and the right guys for any job. Even huge ones like this. I'd use them again and a huge thanks to Here to There movers and their team of professionals.

PLEASE READ BEFORE ENGAGING WITH THIS COMPANY! THIS IS A FRAUDULENT COMPANY - IT IS A SCAM! This was by far the most awful moving experience I have ever encountered and have hired movers 10+ times over the past 15 years (for both myself and my mother). Two movers showed up (on time) to move my disabled mother from a 1 bedroom assisted living to another AL.
After the two "employees" rushed through moving the apartment items (broke items, damaged items, throwing boxes)-there was a small storage unit (less than half full) to move as well (this was discussed when they first arrived). Once at the storage unit-they decided they were not going to move the remaining 11 items (boxes) from the storage unit, got in their truck and sat, refusing to get out or work.
I was completely dumbfounded. I called the number on the truck for the office to see if they were able to assist. The "office manager" (I use this term loosely) JR told me it was unreasonable to ask the movers to move all of the items in the storage unit-as there was no more room on the truck (see pic-plenty of room). The movers then proceeded to DRIVE OFF with my mother's belongings!
I was left with no option, but to follow the truck and call the local police to discuss how to handle this incomprehensible situation. There were four different sheriff/police departments involved and all requested the license plate. Half of the license plate had been scratched off or removed. The "employees" proceeded to a storage facility off Pendleton Pike and locked the truck behind a gated fence and refused to return the items OR finish the moving job.
The local Lawrence police were not able to assist, as it became a civil matter at that point; however, one officer did tell me they are at this location multiple times/week for similar issues with this moving company. The men "working" (standing around smoking/cursing), including JR "office manager" said they refused to return any items until we paid them $765 in CASH (ONLY cash-keeps it unreportable) AND would need to find another moving company to complete the move.
This company took all (but the 11 items from storage)-fled in the truck and locked them behind a gate-held as ransom until they were paid cash. We were able to contact the owner, Josh Baxter, who proceeded to tell us he doesn't care about customers, customer service and we were interrupting his vacation. JR-who I was able to contact via phone, told me (quoting verbatim) "I live for this sh!t, taking out b!tches and Karen's like you" I am still unsure what his intentions and assault mean, but this location is behind a large building, gated off and NOT visible from the street.
Being a female alone-I was extremely uncomfortable and would not get out of my vehicle unless the police were there or until my husband arrived. We found another moving company who indicated they routinely get calls to step in for this EXACT issue. The 2nd moving company was excellent and moved the items from the fraudulent vehicle to their truck.
Here to There Movers also kept ALL the bolts and screws for my mother's furniture. It appears based on other reviews, the mission of the company is to prey on disabled or elderly individuals, load enough items that the customer's only option is to follow their commands, STEAL their belongings, drive off, hold them "hostage" and demand a ransom-which they say MUST be paid in cash only.
These business practices are not legal. I don't post reviews online-but I wanted to share our story, if even to help ONE other family not be defrauded by this group of scam artists. PLEASE read reviews, ratings and others' stories - they have an F with the BBB and there are COUNTLESS posts online with similar behaviors and situations. Moving is stressful enough without scam artists involved, stealing your belongings and threatening your life - I have sympathy and empathy for anyone who has had these similar experiences with Here to There Movers, Joshua Baxter, JR and any other conmen involved in this fraudulent scam ring.

A gentleman with disabilities in our church hired Here to There to move him from his apartment to a storage facility. He said he was originally quoted about $400 for the move. Since he was on a limited income, we had agreed to pay for his move to help him out. When I called in to confirm the amount, I was told that the estimate was based on a 2 hour minimum with an additional $141 per hour after that.
I understood and anticipated we would be fine if the move went up to three hours. On the day of the move, the move took just under three hours (a large portion of that taken up by long smoke break). So, I was anticipating the bill would be about $660. I was shocked when the driver told me the bill was $861. When I asked the driver about this he said the paperwork said they charge for a minimum of 4 hours.
This was the form that had the gentleman moving sign before I arrived at his apartment. I was told I would have to call in to service to see if I could get it adjusted. I have since called in three times. The first time the person who answered said he needed to transfer me to J.R. but I was disconnected in the transfer. When I called back, the same person said he would take a message and have J.R. call me back. J.R. never called back.
After waiting a few days, I called back and left a message on the customer service line. It has now been a few more weeks and I have received no call back. My impression is that they drivers took advantage of a vulnerable adult by having him sign off on a form without explaining the new minimum cost. I addition to this, they knocked down a fire extinguisher and CO detector in the hall of the apartment building and we have not heard if they paid for the damages.

We moved a couple of weeks ago with. David's team and they were personable. Professional and moved us in a very short time. We discovered after getting to our new home that we had forgotten some things and the guys went back and got them with no complaints. In total our move was only a little over 2 hours and was reasonably priced. And we loved how they took care of our furniture!

The customer service I received from Mark C. was excellent. I had a little bit of a mix-up on my end with my moving date and he was more than eager to accommodate our needs. He was easy to reach, prompt, courteous, nice to work with and I would definitely do business with them again. The agent that initially scheduled my move was excellent as well, she disclosed all details and fees upfront and I had a full understanding of all responsibilities from the start which minimized any possible confusion.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY They take 30 minutes smoke breaks to run up the clock/rate! I paid for 3 movers for 2 hours to move a washer/dryer which should've been moved within 45 minutes took them 3.5 hours because they were taking several smoke breaks to run up the hourly rate! Not only that, they damaged my items and refused to compensate. Horrible service!

I recently used Here To There Movers for a move from Indiana to North Carolina. I recommend them highly. My contact was John Fries in the Indianapolis office. (He goes by the nickname JR.) JR told me that they are low stress movers. This turned out to be true. Before the move, I didn't know him at all. If I had known him better, I would have brought up and discussed some other options with him and they would have made my move even more stress free. (For instance, I wish that I had brought up with him the option of them moving our car.) I called him rather late in the process.
He came right away, looked at the contents of my apartment in Indiana, and gave me a price that was very competitive. On the moving day, they came on time and did a good job of moving. Did everything go perfectly? No. The driver did not know that the contents of my garage have to be moved. JR knew this but this was not communicated to the driver. There was room in the truck but the driver would have preferred to load in a different order if he knew that the garage contents also have to be moved.
He complained and there was some unpleasantness. I wish that I had anticipated this problem and given the driver a list of all the rooms that need to be moved. On the receiving end, I had the same driver for the unloading. My apartment in North Carolina screwed up in getting the apartment ready for unloading. This certainly was NOT Here To There Movers' fault. Understandably, the driver complained again. However, I wish that he had been a little more flexible and given me more options when there was a delay, possibly at an additional charge.
He did not. However, in spite of these two problems, everything was moved well. I gave the driver a good tip. (Looking back, I probably was a bit overly generous.) Looking at the big picture, if I have to move again, will I use Here To There Movers again? Definitely.

I was closing on a home I had built and had a friend at the house to let movers in. My friend called me and said they were acting very unprofessional and refusing to move half the stuff and was refusing to make more than one trip, stating "because it was raining outside". My wife immediately called the manager of here to there moving and stated what was going on.
The manager said he has a new moto and the half of my load won't be moved. So I asked the movers to leave my property since they wasn't going to do the job I hired them for. Two days later they Bill me and I called the manager and asked for a refund and he hung up on me. If you need a mover and care about your hard earned money I suggest looking elsewhere.

I used this company for moving locally in Indianapolis, I paid for their wrapping supplies hoping that they will protect my furniture. They carelessly handled and damaged a lot of my stuff. They asked me to report the issue and I would hear back from them in 3 or 5 days. I not only didn't hear back from them after 10 days, but Mark Corsaro rudely hung up the phone on me during our conversation when I called to follow up. Avoid this unprofessional and careless company.
