DC Movers

DC Movers did a fantastic job helping us move. They were very respectful to us and our property. They were both hard working and got the job done quickly. They did a wonderful job of getting everything safely in the truck so nothing moved around during transport. Would definitely recommend them and use their services in the future.

Great service they came pack wrap and move my stuff i got the flat rate per hour they worked 7 hours half hr brake for lunch and plus the one hour traveling time total of 8 hours 3 man 150$ per hour = 1200$ for my two br ap't i'm happy wife happy(that's very important) i paid for lunch and at the end gave them tip 50$ each they ware happy

If you want help with your move, do not look to DC Movers. I booked two movers from DC Movers through U-Haul and confirmed that they would be available at the time I needed them. A half an hour before the scheduled arrival time, I received a text that they weren't coming. No attempt to reschedule, even though I've already paid. Now I'm left with a U-Haul truck of boxes and furniture and no one to help me move anything except my 80 year old father and it's over 100 degrees out. Thanks, DC Movers. You're a real class act. (As though it needed to be said, that 1 star is merely necessary for me to post the review, not because they deserve any stars.)

Scheduled through uhaul. They have no idea what they're doing on that end. The movers texted me to tell me I was going to have to pay more money than uhaul charged me. That's shady but I need movers, so I said I'd pay the difference. Then, the day they were supposed to be here, they texted me and because I didn't text back right away (because I was packing and not paying attention to my phone), they told me they're not going to come today.

If I've already paid you to be here today, why would you need further confirmation? When I asked them to confirm that they would be here tomorrow, they ignored my request for confirmation and outright lied and said that when they contacted me before (the initial contact) that I never responded. I sent them the screenshot of our entire conversation over text and they still tried to say that I hadn't talked to them, despite having replied to all of my messages and having the evidence in front of their face.

The person I was texting (David) informed me he was the owner. How are you going to lie about what you texted someone? I called Uhaul and had them switch my order to a different moving company.

These were the most unprofessional, unknowledgable and incompetent movers I have ever seen, hands down! They did not know how to use tie-downs. They did not know how to use the U-Haul furniture dolly. They did not know how to load a truck. They damaged a $2,500 office desk. They damaged a doorway in the house trying to move the desk. There were many other problems with the service (or lack there of) they provided.

When I reached out in an e-mail to discuss the problems and to offer feedback on how to improve their business, their response was as incompetent as their service. No one should have to suffer their incompetence. Save yourself a headache, hire someone else.

They called me back as I was in a bind as another moving company bailed on me. They are hard workers and using them again in 2 weeks! Thank you for relieving some stress! They took care of my 300 lb desk! And more! They also will reply with text, that is a BIG plus today!

Less than one star rating! DC movers was a joke! They set it up with me to be at my house at 10 am and at 8:15am he says he's already running an hour late. I text him back at 9:30 to see if 11 would still work, David answers no they are still there and is running even later. I text back at 11 to see if I could get a time, never answered, called and left a message, never answered. I'm in a state of panic at this point because its 1pm and I have to be out of this house TODAY!

I thankfully found movers that are actually reliable and got here immediately when I explained the situation. I will make sure to pass it on that no one should ever use your service. Oh and I FINALLY did get a response, but only after I said I canceled, he said, I was just on my way, thank you for letting me know. What a joke, he'd been waiting for me to cancel this for hours.

This company was part of the Yelp Quote Referral System. Unfortunately, after more than 48 hours, I still have not received a response from them. Even a Unable to service you, would be better than nothing. How does any company expect to stay in business with crappy customer service?
