Moving in with the whole registering was very easy and nice. The customer service Ms. Candy was great.

So far so good. No issues with the customer service. I was greeted and taken for a tour. Price and all things included in the lease was outlined clearly so that I was able to make the best descision possible. My rep was Assistant Manager Candy.

My unit got flooded and all my things are ruined! No one has bothered to call me back after I went and closed out the account. I been paying hundreds of dollars a month for stuff to be stored that I can never use again. I have insurance but I'm still perturbed at the negligence of staff. They had to know the units floored yet I was never notified. Bad buisness!

Candy made the entire process/experience quite pleasurable. She was prompt, attentive, and accommodating to requested services. She is the reason I will continue to utilize U-Store for my storage needs while here in the DMW.

This U Store is heads over in service and cost in comparison to other storages I have used. The manager John and staff are professional and makes you feel valued, and make reasonable efforts to accommodate. They show concern and consideration for their patrons. The costs are reasonable, and the facilities are clean. I have used this facility since 2012. I have the experience with another storage place in Camp Springs, MD, which is horrendous!

Camille and her staff were extremely helpful, even to the point of coming in early one day to accommodate my movers. The facility is safe and secure, and well-located.

Avoid them at all costs. The owners are the employees and they refuse to offer anything resembling customer service. I can only assume they are sadists who really enjoy making things difficult for people. They will go out of their way to make things hard but will not go out of their way to help you. AVOID THIS PLACE!

Janis is the BEST! She is incredibly helpful! This is the second time I've used U-storage. I won't store my property anywhere else.

Exceptional and kind service. My college son was moving his stuff on his own in a rented car, they stayed open to get him in, helped him out, assisted with paperwork and payment, and were kind to a young person doing this sort of this for the first time and on his own. Prices good, and facility good.

I've been storing some of my belongings at U-Store for over a year and a half. After a year and a half I'd would've expected a layer of dust but to my surprise there wasn't none to be found. The whole place is kept clean. The customer service is excellent. Ms. Janice patiently talked with me about the paperwork, while John showed us the storage unit.

The employees make sure that you are taken care of. They make sure to build positive rapport with each customer that comes in the door and leaves with a smile. They offer promotional discounts a few times throughout the year. I highly recommend U-Store if you are considering storing your belongings.

I chose U Store for the convenient location but was pleasantly surprised by how helpful and accommodating the staff were. I stored items for only 3 months. However, I got an emailed reminder regarding the bill - which prevented late fees when I forgot, staff who were always willing to go out of their way to be helpful. Very importantly, it was clean and my items remain undamaged. I would definitely use them again.

Overall my experience with U-store was good. When we first arrived, someone from U-Store showed us to our unit, so we didn't have to try to find it ourselves. I felt that U-Store was safe because you have to enter a code to get in and out of the gate and the gate is only open from 7am-7pm. The one issue we did have was that the elevator was broken sometimes.

In one case both elevators were broken so we have to carry furniture and other items down the stairs. I spoke with Janice about this and she compensated us for the inconvenience.

The staff is awesome! I had to store some furniture and other assorted belongings for a couple of months during an apartment hunt. When I called in, Janice gave me a couple of quotes but suggested a little bit more space than I needed because there was a deal on it. When I went to the site, the man who showed me around did the same (shoot, forget his name), and made sure I didn't leave without a free bottle of water, either.

I thought everything was pretty clean, if not super high-tech. There are a couple of dollies and elevators, and a code to get both in the elevator and in the parking lot. Each unit has to be locked with a padlock that you have to provide. The walls of the units don't reach to the top of the ceiling, at least that I saw. Eventually I found an apartment and didn't need the storage space anymore, so I went to collect my stuff.

I hadn't given the right amount of notice to close the unit so was perfectly wiling to pay the next month, but Janice waived it without my asking. The staff just seems all-around good-natured and helpful. If I'm ever in need of storage in DC again, I know where I'm going.

We have used U-Store for years and have had a great experience. The customer service is top notch, the monthly billing is easy and the unit itself was easy to access, clean and secure. Parking is always ample and the prices are competitive. I would highly recommend this storage to anyone.

I would like to repost a message or two on here because it's the same. The staff and their professional and friendly demeanor made a stressful situation very positive. Reggie and Janis and the other lovely gentleman in that office whose name escapes me are worthy of every great review including this one. Look no further for this type of service.

Worst experience of my life. I stored my stuff in one of the units for the last month. I was moving this weekend and so I went to the unit and started taking out my stuff. Everything in the unit was infested with giant roaches. I had to throw away a $200 rug, my box spring. They got into all of the boxes that had clothes in them. I spent $200 getting everything washed because I took all of mine and my girlfriend's clothes straight to the laundromat. We did not store any items (like food) that would attract roaches. I also saw roaches and other bugs going in and out of the other units nearby.

I can't say enough to describe the excellent service and professional customer service I consistently received. I had one large unit for 8 months and needed an additional unit for 30 days. Janice provided another perfect sized clean unit. While unloading in 90 degree weather, without asking, she came out with ice cold bottle water and paper towels.

This is what customer service use to be and is all about! She was an absolute pleasure to work with and made my stressful relocation so easy. Thank you Thank You! I highly recommend U Store New York Ave to anyone looking for convenient, clean, secure storage at a very fair price.

We have been going through an office move which has been stressful on all counts. When looking for storage, I had encountered many not so helpful storage companies when speaking to them over the phone. Janice at U-Stor on New York Avenue was not only personable on the phone but in person I found her to be kind, helpful, and therapeutic! (Actually helped me de-stress by offering me a cup of tea and telling me to breathe).

It was a refreshing customer service experience. Reggie was also very helpful, friendly, and showed much patience while showing us around to different sizes of storage units so we could get an idea for our needs. Never once did I feel rushed and he was very helpful in navigating through their property. They have just received a lifelong loyal customer! I highly recommend this company for storage with great customer service.

I have never written a yelp review but this is deserving of one. A storage unit is a storage unit, there is nothing special about it. What makes this place is the staff. Janice is the most professional, accomdation, and hospitable person I have EVER worked with. I own my own catering company and would hire her if I could. U-Storage management - I highly consider Janice for promotion.
