Regency Moving & Storage

We hired Regency in January to move our home after we bought a new one. They packed all of our dishes and kitchen items for us on one day and then packed the entire house (and a piano) moved it and unpacked it on the very next day. They placed every item in whatever room we wanted. Very professional and courteous for a reasonable price. We'll definitely use them again.

We used Regency for a complicated move in August 2021. We needed packing and moves to two different locations - a storage unit and an apartment. They showed up on time all three days, took good care of all of our belongings and worked efficiently. We will be using them for the final move in a few weeks. They will gather belongings from two storage units and the apartment and move them all into a single family home. We really appreciated the flexibility and professionalism from Regency and would 100% recommend them.

We used Regency Moving for our last move. Last one was our best move. Regency Moving staff came prepared and they were very careful and fast. Our move started 10am and we were all done by 4pm. Amazing. I am recommending them to everyone.

I have used Regency twice over the past 3 years for pretty major moves (requiring 2 large trucks) and they have been fantastic both times. I highly recommend them. In fact, I will be using their services again next summer when I move to my new house! They are on time, professional, and reasonably priced. Great management and team of movers.

Regency Movers did a wonderful job moving us from one home to another. I can't believe how strong they are! They were incredibly fast, polite and efficient. I did not have any problems with them at all and absolutely nothing was broken or lost. I have used other moving companies in the past and it has been a nightmare, but Regency did not let me down. I would definitely recommend them!

Our experience could not have been better! Cliff was super nice when he came to our house to provide a quote. His team of packers were incredible - they were at our house for a full day and half and worked harder and better than anything I have seen before. We had to delay our move by a week due to some medical issues, and Cliff was extremely flexible and accommodating.

His team of movers who ultimately moved our house worked a 12 hour day and handled our stuff like it was their own. I have no doubt that most good moving companies provide similar services, but what stands out is the positive, pleasant and client-first attitude Cliff and his entire team bring. This was the reason we have referred Cliff to two of our friends who will be moving in the next six months. Definitely a business I will refer without hesitation!

I called Regency to move from an apartment in Richmond, VA to another apartment in Woodbridge, VA recently. I called them after trying and failing to get a commitment from others with good ratings on Yelp even after making out a list of my furniture and emailing it (along with photos in one case). All that was a waste of time - either no responses or no commitments.

Just call the Regency! Glad I did. The operator made an appointment and the movers came on time. The only glitch was that the phone operator told me there'd be three men but two came. This is not a complaint because the two did the work of three! They were courteous to me and careful with my furniture. The move was done without any issues and in a timely manner. The rates were reasonable and in line with estimates I'd got from others. I would definitely hire the Regency again.

Regency did a first-rate job on my complex move during the pandemic. The packers and movers wore masks and gloves and handled my belongings carefully. Most items went to my new home but some were sent to storage. Everything went smoothly from estimate and scheduling to packing and moving. The owner Cliff's professional approach was reassuring, and the crews were easy to work with. I would definitely use again.

I have moved 10 times since 2006 and Regency Moving & Storage is by far the BEST moving company I have ever worked with. Professional, hard-working, prompt, dependable, etc. - I could go on and on with praise. I hope to be at the residence they just moved me to for a very long time; however, I if I ever need moving and storage services again they will be the first and only place I will use!

Do not use this company! My quote was wildly inaccurate, and ended up being $1700 more than originally quoted. This is after I got rid of three trucks full of belongings that had been on the original estimate! On top of this, the moving foreman told me they expected tips and did not load most of my items onto the truck until I gave tip money to them.

Not that I wouldn't have tipped, but I felt that my things were being held hostage and would have been mistreated if I had not give them them enough. This company will lure you in with a slightly lower price than their competitors, then rob you blind. Avoid them!

We had a perfect move with Regency. Because of the pandemic, the estimate had to be done via FaceTime, which worked very smoothly. The movers themselves were efficient, careful, and very pleasant to work with. The cost of the move was very reasonable. We would highly recommend this company to anyone contemplating a move.

I'm retired military with over 12 moves. They gave me a great price and performed beautifully. The owner did the estimate in my house and maintain perfect communication through out the move. I even had to postponed the move once due to a delayed closing on the new house. They accommodated me without a hitch. Workers showed up right on time, did everything I asked them to and more.

I trusted Regency Moving & Storage with moving all of my household goods after I had sold my house in May 2018. The main reason I chose them was that they offered safe, climatized storage for my household goods that included many priceless antiques. I needed storage for several months as my new home was being built. Their cost of storing my possessions was reasonable and I knew I could trust Regency to keep my thing safe. Regency uses experienced movers, who expertly packed and unpacked all my belongings.

They were very careful in following my instructions on some of my more valuable items and everything was delivered to my new home in perfect condition. I would strongly recommend Regency to all my family and friends. Great people!

Awesome job. They gave the best quote by far of the three companies I contacted and then knocked it out of the park in service. I had a roughly 7000 sq ft house and lots of items I considered "nice". They were so careful and so, so polite and respectful. The job was done in the time they told me and they were on time.

We recently had a local move and Regency did an outstanding job. Cliff came by for the preview, gave us a fair price so we scheduled the move. Three of the nicest, strongest young men arrived in time and by 4 p. m. We were unloaded. We had normal household items but we also had two extremely large, heavy mechanic toolboxes, but the boys handled them with great efficiency. We'd hire them again.

Superb Customer service and moving performance. We have moved over twenty times across America and overseas. This has been our best experience and easiest move yet thanks to the Great folks at Regency. The movers are courteous, professional and hardworking. None of them disappear for hours (like so many movers in our past). They bend over backwards to help us out with all of our special needs, oversize chandelier, antique furniture, etc. They are extraordinarily responsive in the office to include returning phone calls. They set an example worthy of emulation by all businesses.

I have moved several times (locally and across the US) and have had a few bad experiences recently. When I had to move again last year, I dreaded having to find a new mover. I am so glad I found Regency. They are, by far, the best firm I have dealt with in terms of professionalism, courtesy, reliability AND price. I was overseas when I needed to have everything in my place packed up and put into storage. Regency did an incredible job carefully packing and taking care of my belongings.

Regency Moving is an excellent, well- established company. I last used them in December 2016. The team was professional, efficient, and I was very impressed with their attention to detail. I would definitely hire them again for any move, large or small.

Third move with them. Fast efficient careful and reasonably priced. The movers treat my stuff as their stuff. Every box and piece of furniture was handle with care. We've also used their storage service, which if you don't need access, is about half the price of a regular storage place. Everything in storage left storage in the exact same condition. Trust them completely.

I used Regency Moving and Storage for the second time last month and had another great experience. I was emptying a condo of furniture and had it delivered to my primary residence. Regency sent over a two man crew and moved everything as discussed. Items were wrapped with protective blankets and moved to different locations within my house. In addition to the Condo items, I asked the crew if they could move a few things from one room to another as it was on my list of things to do. They did so in no time at all. If there is a third move (I hope not), I won't hesitate to use them again.

I have used this company probably 5 times over the past 3 years. For packing, moving and storing things. I have always had very polite movers with a lead contact. They are organized and careful. Things are always wrapped and moved carefully. These guys are also seriously strong - they have somehow moved some of the heaviest things I've ever seen up and down several flights of stairs for us.

I have had great contact with the company both before and after our moves and quotes have been on target. I highly recommend using them. They will go out of the way to ensure that you are satisfied and that things are done correctly. Arlington, Va

We used Regency Moving & Storage in early July for a move from a Woodbridge storage facility to a duplex in Dupont Circle. I can't say enough good things about these guys. They were on time, they didn't bat an eye when they realized we (i) had grossly underestimated the amount of furniture was in the unit, no complaints about the heat (the heat index was well over 100 degrees that day) or the fact that our unit was on the top floor of a walk up building (and is a two story unit!).

We encouraged them to take breaks and offered lunch but instead they powered through. I will say their estimate was off - we were quoted 4 hours as opposed to the 5 it took - but that was my bad for being off on how much stuff we actually had to move! Moses was the team lead for our move but really all the guys were excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to friends or use them for another move myself.

My husband who is very low key & been in the military for 26 years(= many moves) fired them within one hour. He has never done that ever! They didn't wrap the piano in blankets as I was told they would do & they hit the side of the moving van with the piano. My husband saw the whole thing. The crew chief just shrugged & offered no apology. I will admit I wasn't polite about the incident.
