I had a horrible experience with another company and United made this move so easy! My stuff arrived from Chicago to Boston and both sets of movers were so so great. Helped packed up my tv and made sure everything was secure. They originally charged me for 2 storage pods but worked really hard to get me in 1 so I didn't have to pay for 2. The office staff was helpful as well Definitely recommend!

Used Humboldt for a cross country move and they were awesome. Definitely not the cheapest, but there were no hidden fees, they didn't charge extra for tape and extra boxes needed to pack mirrors or art and they were on time both at origin and destination. My move coordinator, Bethany, kept me in the loop at all times and was always quick to respond when I had questions.
All of my belongings made it safely to my destination unscathed. Trusting all of your worldly possessions with someone is so stressful - I had a great experience with Humboldt and would 100% use them again should the need arise.

A huge THANK YOU to the amazing crew that came out to help us load up for our big cross country move. We have moved several times before and we have never had a more professional, speedy, gracious, careful, attentive and helpful team than the four individuals who came out today. I want to thank Tim for serving us so well on his birthday no less, Bob, Jarid, and Jake for all of the amazing work they did. We are grateful and highly recommend this group!

This is our second move with the Humboldt team. The first was our house 10 years ago, and this time they helped us move our office. They did a great job with communication, showing up on time. They were quick and efficient and kind. The "virtual" walk through to see the space went smoothly and we had no issues. Even with the sleet storm everything went well.

Very disappointed with our interstate move to date. We selected Humboldt because they are associated with United Van Lines but the national partnership has not helped. We specified the unique layout of the move out home and had a representative come out in person to be very clear on the scope of work. However, on move out day, they sent a 2 person crew to move a house full of furniture on the 3rd and 4th floor.
It took 8.5 hours. Our window to have our stuff arrive was 12.21 to 12.31, today we were informed that the driver 'might' have COVID so looking like early January. Complete horror show. A major thumbs down for Humboldt from our viewpoint. I am regretting my decision to select them for a time sensitive and important move. An update, Humboldt is trying to have another driver fill in, we may have our stuff on Sunday, January 2nd. Fingers crossed!

I can't imagine a worse moving experience. Our belongings were loaded onto the truck in Boston on June 9th. Humboldt showed up at our house in Atlanta on June 28th with 25% of our stuff and didn't know where the rest was. It took them until July 12th to get the rest of our belongings to Atlanta. That's 34 days to complete a move from Boston to Atlanta.
There was significant damage when our items arrived. Communication from the relocation coordinator all the way up to the CEO has been terrible. It has been 7 months and not only have we not received any money back for the damaged items or delay, we can't even get an update on the status of the claim.

In July, we submitted a request for an August 12 move back to the west coast using the United online portal. After the virtual walkthrough was completed, we were told they couldn't help until 8/31. Okay, fine, we've already gotten this far. Our belongings were picked up on 8/31, then didn't move. Like, at all. Finally got a hold of the company and learned they didn't have a driver booked.
Long story short, our items arrived at the end of September, two weeks after the delivery estimated window closed. And, boy, were the items beat up: dented-in stainless steel garbage can, broken plastic tubs and cardboard boxes, completely-shattered antique Asian end tables from my deceased grandmother. Then, it took another month for our delay claim check to arrive.
Manager Mr. Sullivan never called me back to discuss my concerns, though his outgoing message said he would once he finished helping other customers have a stress-free move. We used u-pack cubes from U-haul for our move east and it cost us a third of the price of this company, our items arrived on time, and none of our belongings were damaged or broken. Lesson learned.

They moved a teardrop vintage trailer from Virginia to Oregon. The service was fast and efficient, they were always in contact with updates on pick-up and drop-off, and t they answered all questions promptly (even on nights and weekends). I really got the impression that they cared about our move. The driver was also super nice.
