A big shout out to Mabey's Moving and Storage for expertly packing up our 3-level 2-family home in Ithaca, NY and moving us to Chester County, PA. Dylan's quote was both spot-on and low pressure, which I appreciated. Rock star Roger and his terrific moving team of Paul, Brandon, and Jeffery, treated our time, cherished heirlooms, and general stuff equally-with care and respect. They were not only incredibly hardworking and unbelievably fast, but also very personable! Thank you, Mabey's! I am happy to give your service my highest recommendation.

I had such a great experience at this facility. I definitely recommend Mabey's storage for college students that need storage over the summer like myself. To begin with, Debbie was incredibly helpful. She made me feel very welcomed with her graciousness & courtesy throughout the process of moving my storage. Debbie made sure that me & my friends were comfortable at all times.

The process of moving in my storage and signing paper work took less than an hour. There were no complications, everything went smoothly. I will always use this storage company, they are very organized and affordable!

Utilized their services to move the contents of a two-bed room apartment (3 people) to a new location. Very professional from the beginning, responsive and knowledgeable. The gentlemen who came to move us were pleasant and extremely careful with our items. Highly recommend.

I had an excellent experience with Mabey's. I have moved three times in the past two years, one of which was a cross-country move, and Mabey's far exceeded the experience that I had with any other company. Erin and Leigh were fantastic and the sales department, helping me set up my move. Working with Laura to complete my payment was easy and very quick. Andrew in the office was fantastic in terms of making sure that my move went forward without a hitch.

Once moving day arrived, Ken and his crew were phenomenal, they treated my things with professionalism while quickly completing my move. I highly recommend this company for any of your moving and storage needs!

This was my first time using the moving services of Mabey's Moving and from beginning to end, the process was easy and stress-free. From the customer service reps, to the estimator, Mike, and the movers, everyone was friendly, informative and helpful. Ken, Kyle and Sean (I hope I remembered their names) were fun movers to be around. They took apart and reassembled my furniture with no problem. Sean actually made a great furniture layout call that gave me more room in my living room. Ken was a great conversationalist, and all three were friendly and helpful. I will be using their services again when I move in a few years, and I highly recommend Mabey's for your moving needs.

Mabey's just completed our move and we were very happy with the service they provided. Everyone, from Mike, Erin and Andrew 'back of house' to Shawn, Jordan, Jeff, Zac and Lawrence 'on the ground', was great. Every day is a new adventure with these guys and they work with whatever scenario they are faced with. We would thoroughly recommend them to take care of your move. Mabey's did a fantastic job with our move! Mike Ghent was friendly and professional during our estimate, and the office staff were happy to answer any questions we had. The movers arrived promptly and were very friendly, quick, and efficient. The crew worked very hard and stayed professional and positive the entire time. UPDATE: As it turns out, the below-mentioned individual DID, in fact, show up that day. I was home, sitting feet from both the front door and my attached garage which was open. I did not hear this person knock, nor did he try to get in touch with me. But, he fixed the leak. A few days later, we had torrential rain for two straight days. Leak was gone.

Our stuff is safe. A VP called me personally first thing Monday morning (after the presumed no-show on Friday). He spent nearly half an hour on the phone with me and wanted to make sure things were sorted. A few days later, checking in on another rainstorm, he asked if I'd be happier with a new mobile storage unit and even offered to help move boxes from one to the other.

Customer service goes a long way. While I would have liked to have been notified the repair guy was there. The follow up was first rate. --Original review below-- We decided on Mabey's to choose local vs. a national chain service and were impressed with our first call. Unfortunately, that's where the positive impression stopped. The Mobile storage container was delivered slightly outside the initial time window, but nothing too far off to be concerning.

The driver was great, informative and did his best to level the container in our sloped driveway. He explained about water coming from the bottom escapes near the door. He also said not to worry about all the water damage on the floor as the roof had been completely replaced (Aluminum) because the prior fiberglass one leaked. We got rain the next night (a Wednesday before the holiday weekend).

Rain clearly came in from the roof. I had three columns of storage bins stacked and two of the three had standing water on top. Clearly the presumedly new roof was leaky as well. Called Thursday morning. The woman was wonderful and responsive and said she'd send someone out on Friday. We changed our plans around to make sure someone was home. This was important.

I called at 2:03 pm that same Friday to confirm someone was still coming. No one was available, but I received a call back shortly after. Because of holiday traffic, drivers were delayed but I was assured that the owner, himself, was stopping by "on his way home from work." This never happened. We needed to leave at 6:25. At that time, we still had not seen any representative of the company.

Now I'm stuck with a leaky container on a long weekend that I was planning on using to pack. I'm having surgery in a little over a week and this is the best chance I have to make this happen. So much for that. I'm hoping Mabey's will make this right. As of right now, they've broken my trust. Twice. I would've understood "Sorry, holiday traffic was bad but we'll be there first thing Tuesday morning" (after the holiday).

But I was told someone - the owner, no less - would come. This, to me, is truly the worst part. You should strive to stand by your product. But you should *always* stand by your word. I hope to update this review with more stars, not less.

Mabey's handled our move from upstate NY to California. Everything went perfectly at the move out part of the process and the office staff were wonderful to work with. We had to leave our stuff in storage in NYS for 8 months due to Covid restrictions and Mabey's made this easy to do. Pricing for our move was quite reasonable. Helpful hint: The packing crew should absolutely number each box with a sharpie and record how many boxes in total are being shipped. We have the unsettling feeling at least one box got left behind in NYS. So 4 stars not 5.

I had quotes from 2 other movers for our move from NY to GA. I selected Mabey due to their outstanding reviews, the AAA discount on insurance coverage and the outstanding professionalism of the estimator Mike Ghent. I have read horror stories from other movers about damage or price differences from quotes. Mike assured me my actual price would be no more than what he estimated.

He was right. The crew (I wish I remembered their names) were outstanding on both ends of the move. They even packed up some items we did not have boxes for that were fragile. No issues with damages. The only thing I would clarify if you are doing an interstate move is to ask if your stuff will be mixed with other stops and if you will be first or last on the stops. They provide a range of delivery dates and they met it. They made a typical very stressful time in your life much easier to deal with. Highly recommended.

I could not recommend a better moving company than Mabey's. I've used them 2 times in the last few years and they always exceed my expectation. From scheduling with Dylan to the day of move everything went perfectly. I needed to switch my move dates a few times and they were always accommodating. The crew showed up exactly on time and they were very friendly and courteous. They packed all of our family belongings like it was there own. Any future move, I wouldn't work with anyone other than Mabey's.

Whenever anyone asks for name of a good moving company, without hesitation, I give them the Mabey's name. From the first time I used Mabey's 20 years ago, I was sold. First off, the customer service staff that answer the phones are so polite and helpful. Then, the representative that comes to your home to evaluate and provide a quote - this is so critical.

As we know, moving is one of life's most stressful events, so having an experienced and knowledgeable person to advise and help prepare you for the process is invaluable. Moving day was as expected, staff were professional, handled our stuff respectfully. There was no lollygagging, the guys worked and moved the whole time. Fabulous. From that, I referred friends who all had great experiences.

Cut to 20 years later and our current move. Guess what? We had the same rep as for each time- Mike - and he was wonderful! Again, professional, experienced, and a pleasure to work with. We could not have been more pleased with the moving crew that came. We were moving from 4 levels of furniture (plenty of heavy, vintage furniture) to a 4 level home.

The crew's upbeat attitude and wonderful demeanor helped take so much of the stress out of the process and their appreciation and respect for our belongings was palpable. Note, we did our own packing. Note - in a prior move, we also used them to put things in storage to declutter home for showing. They are also great for storage.

Mabeys responded to my complaints and were very accommodating to make things right. George was terrific.

Mabey's moved us out of our house of 30 years to a new home. It was a local move - Averill Park to Albany. Every step of the process from getting a quote, to scheduling, to the actual move, and follow up was handled smoothly and professionally. Every person involved in the move was great but specially the two guys who handled our stuff.

We moved from East Greenbush, having to put our items in storage for ten days. The three man shift arrived on time, worked diligently throughout the morning and had our possessions loaded faster than the estimated time. Upon receipt in our new home, weeks later, a different crew-four men this time-again were careful, efficient and extremely respectful.

The last move involved transporting the cargo up an elevator and around many corners. With most items unpacked at this point we have not noticed any breakage or scratches/dents to any items. Once again, the actual move-in time was less than the original quote. Thank you Mabey's for making our first move utilizing professionals an extremely pleasant experience all around! We would definitely use this company again in the future.
