Updating my review. The owner Sheri expressed her remorse at the experience I had and took the time to follow up with me to thoughtfully listen to my concerns in my review and collaborated on possible solutions to remedy employee use of PPE and runners going forward. I really appreciate her empathy and humility in seeking feedback to improve her business and applaud her genuine customer service. Updating from 2 stars to 4 stars.

I recently moved from Los Angeles, CA to Oklahoma City, OK and the care I got from California Relocation Services was exceptional! The communication was great, and my belongings were packed with such great care. Oscar C. and his teammate arrived 15 minutes early and were very friendly and addressed all of my concerns about the big move. I was moving out of a 2br/2ba apartment and they were finished packing in about 3.5 hours.

They were extra careful at handling anything expensive or delicate which was so appreciated. I told Oscar about some of the issues I've encountered with movers in the past and he went out of his way to make sure I didn't experience that again. Example: when I first moved to LA, my mattress was packed and shipped only in a plastic bag. It arrived with the plastic completely torn and my mattress came wet and stained with disgusting black stuff all over it.

It was a Purple mattress, which isn't cheap, and I ended up having to toss it and buy a new one. Oscar quite literally handmade a box out of cardboard that fit my mattress perfectly, while also wrapping it in plastic. He and his teammate went out of their way to pack other items of mine this way too. They packed my things on 7/21 and 1400 miles later it arrived in OKC on 7/30. I had a local moving service help me unpack my items and they even mentioned they had never seen packing done so well as this before!

I appreciated the care that your team demonstrated during a very emotional move. My dear brother immigrated to Mexico 30 years ago and recently passed away. I found an amazing moving company in Mexico (Balderas) who offered their services at a reasonable price. Balderas did an outstanding job carefully packing his belongings, some of which were fragile art pieces.

As it turns out Balderas partnered with 2 U.S. companies: Rainier, and the final leg of the delivery was handled by California Relocation. The crew listened to my concerns about carefully unpacking fragile art and the emotional connection I had with these pieces. They also had a simple check-off system that allowed me to be sure that all my pieces arrived. Afterwards they removed all packing materials, including wooden crates. Excellent conscientious work!

I see a lot of one star reviews here. My personal experience with them was excellent. After reading the reviews we we're very worried but in the end, everything was delivered on time and carefully. For the people who are worried about damage to their stuff, you just got to make sure you pack your boxes well.

It's been a rough move and I've moved A LOT since my college days, even internationally. Either I have an actual move karma now and I did something wrong or it's just a sign that I need to stick to one place for a while. It all started with my water heater fiasco in Long Beach. Then I found out moving by myself with professional movers only involved in the placement of the heavy things from the old to new place is a really bad idea.

Really bad. Packing and purging on your own in the span of 5 days is very difficult and stressful. Don't do it. So it didn't help when my little IKEA cabinet with frosted glass doors turned up shattered on one side by accident on its journey to Torrance. I was worn out by the growing list of annoying things to do and put a bad review in, but Shiree was great.

She called up right away, got the doors replaced, delivered the fixed piece at my convenience and paid me for some damage to my old condo door frame while keeping up steady and reliable communication. It's a shame that people aren't removing reviews that pertain to a similarly named business so Mark and Shiree's team can't get their just due and keeps the overall stars on this solid company low. Perhaps you'll just take my word for it, that accidents happen but the difference is a business that puts the customer first like California Relo did.

I used California Relocation Systems recently for my long distance move and they did an outstanding job. Their crew arrived on time, packed all my furniture and fragile items and carefully loaded everything to their truck. They were very polite, efficient, fast and professional. My delivery was as schedule, nothing was broken or damaged, and the price I paid at the end was very reasonable. An amazing experience. I'm recommending this moving company to everyone I know.

These people rocked! Tim, Vanessa and Stephanie were pleasant and professional on the phone. I needed to call the day before the delivery date for my 2 hour window for delivery because they must have gotten too busy to call me with the delivery time, so stay on top of it the day before delivery. You can count on them being 15 minutes early for the scheduled delivery time.

The delivery guys, Aldo and Jose, are very professional, efficient, safe, accommodating and sincerely respectful of peoples belongings. In our crazy times, these guys were a joy. Thanks California Relocation Services, Inc.

Please do not do business with this company. They are unethical and unprofessional. I was at a complete stop on the 405 FWY when this company's employee rear ended my Mercedes. Driver was Rodolfo Ramirez and owner is Oscar Contreras (CA Relocation Services Inc). They do real estate too so be careful when hiring an agent. Remember reputation is everything.

They lied to their insurance company (Infinity) claiming there employee was not working at the time of the accident. The driver and another employee were wearing uniforms. Khaki and blue. This is a Crooked and shady business. The attorneys will be working on this. If they do not cooperate a suit will be filed. There family does business within the Chamber of Commerce. Will be advising the committee of their unethical business practices.

It's really a bummer to write this review because up until the end, Cali Relocations Services actually did a pretty good job. Unfortunately the folks that moved things OUT of my house did not complete a packing list or email it to me afterwards, as promised. The folks that moved things IN my new house across the country tried to move other people's things in several times, which I corrected them on, but ultimately left without delivering my most valuable box (easily over $1000 in tools inside).

So far, I have had no luck recovering my things but will update this review if I hear from anyone from Cali Relocation Services. This company offers great prices for a cross country move, but you must be prepared to be diligent in your note-taking, take a lot of pictures, and be prepared to be aggressive IMMEDIATELY in the case that something seems unusual. I do not recommend trusting them with anything that is of serious value to you or your family.

We were originally booked to have Pullman Worldwide Van Lines be our movers from Washington State to Florida. At the last minute they passed our contract to California Relocation Services. They showed up around 5pm and told us we would have to pay them another $5000 to have them load and move our possessions. We had turned over our apartment and had no other choice but to go with them.

Our belongings were taken to a warehouse in California where they stayed until a truck finally picked them up. We had no idea this would be the case. When our belongings made it to Florida, we were missing a large toolbox and they were not helpful in locating it. We also were left with a box of Blue Danube dishes from Penn Valley, CA that belonged to another family on our truck.

After contacting the company, they were NO help in locating the family. I even suggested them contacting each family that was on the truck to find out who the dishes belonged to. NO HELP! If you are missing a box of Blue Danube dishes from Penn Valley, CA, please contact me. We could make out that much of an address on the box. I will gladly send them to you. toopats@comcast.net

Stay away! We lost our grandmother in California so quickly in a week my mother had to find a shipping company to bring things back to Pennsylvania. For starters there quote is half the price. Knowing my mom wouldn't be there when they picked up the iitwms the price doubled and we had to elimanate things to be shipped. Many items have been broken most heirlooms and irreplaceable items some things shipped that shouldn't have and some items were refused to be loaded on the truck we were not aware of worth 1000's of dollars lost! Just don't with this company they don't. Care about anything and what they pay to replace is nothing

DO NOT CONTRACT THIS SCAM OF A BUSINESS. My parents recently relocated cross-country and had their larger furniture items in storage for a few months. When it came time to request delivery to their new house it took forever for them to come- no eta of delivery. When it arrived, 80% was missing and they were demanding full payment before unload. That's ludicrous - paying in full without having everything accounted for?!

So guess what, refused to pay and they turned around back cross country with their stuff! Then came time to report back to reschedule delivery, this time hopefully with everything. Once they claimed to have "located" everything, and driver was en route, he had a "family emergency" and had to turn around?!? Again. They rescheduled again! And then finally they arrive at the most INCONVENIENT time, while my parents have guests for 1 NIGHT at 6PM!

With ONE GUY to unload! They didn't finish until 11:30PM! And to top it all off- MANY IMPORTANT AND VALUABLE ITEMS MISSING AND DAMAGED. They just threw everything in the truck without thought or care, resulting in a shattered new big screen TV, cracked mirror, torn and dirty mattress and a lot of damaged furniture. The driver said "this isn't the first time and it won't be the last" How anyone works for this company or it's in business at all is beyond me.

They deserve to be SHUT DOWN and sued for the damages incurred. Who knows what's going on with the missing items - I'm talking full rooms worth of furniture - if they try to get away with pawning off or something.

My mother-in-law shipped us furniture back in May (over 5 months ago). It was delivered in July, but half of it was missing ( including half of a sectional, a large leather sofa, and a valuable painting) and a lot of what arrived was also damaged. I submitted the claims form on July 25th. And messaged Brenda( person who processes the claims forms) a couple times until I recieved confirmation that she got it.

I tried calling, but she does not answer the phone. I emailed her at the beginning of October for an update explaining it that it has been two months since submitting the claim form, I emailed her again mid-october saying it's one week until the 90 Day deadline and I wanted an update, I emailed her again at the end of October saying that we are past the 90-day deadline and I need a resolution. she has not responded to any of my emails.

And like I said before, she does not answer the phone. I'm very frustrated that we paid thousands of dollars, half of the furniture wasn't delivered, many things were broken, I submitted the claim form and haven't gotten any responses, and the person in charge of resolving this won't respond to my messages. I am very concerned about the situation and am starting to wonder if i am being taken advantage of and may need a lawyer.

I don't know how to get people to follow through. I talked to a customer service representative who says they will pass my information on to a manager, but at this point I have zero confidence in this company. Very disapointing.

Aldo and Jose handled all of the unaccompanied baggage for my PCS to Italy and they did an AWESOME job. These guys are the best. I'm surprised by all of the 1-star reviews for Cal Relo but perhaps it's because there are different crews out there. My family appreciated Aldo and Jose's ability to help guide us through the process. Muchas gracias!

If you value your personal belongings, your pride possessions, and your sanity then this moving company is not for the faint of heart. There is no rating low enough or words harsh enough that can express the recent move from hell! This company lacks integrity, customer service, and respect for people's property and personal treatment! This move had it all from the driver showing up 48 hours later to doing the world tour with our furniture and art work.

When the driver showed up two days later every piece of furniture was dinged, dirty, or gauged. Too much drama not enough professionalism or accountability shown. Buyer beware!

I had reserved for them to come move my house from California to Arizona. I was expecting a slight change in the cost but when they arrived they over doubled my quote. On top of that the original time they were suppose to arrive was 11am - 3pm. Then it got pushed from 4-6. After 6 when I still hadn't heard anything I finally called and they said it now wouldn't be until 8 pm!

Then when they over doubled the cost I told them I couldn't afford the new cost and would have to use someone else. Now they refuse to refund my deposit. I knew the cost could change but not by $2,500! They get your deposit and then once they are at your house they up the cost and hope you'll just pay it. Lesson learned! Dawn was so rude!

She hung up on me multiple times and had an attitude from the beginning. Yep! They stopped answering my phone calls once I told them to stop and not kid my belongings after over doubling the cost. I called from my husbands phone and they answered right away. I forgot to mention a gun safe and they undersized some of my stuff like my bed a tool box and a doll house so they over doubled my quote but yet when I questioned about adding a couch, queen mattress box spring headboard footboard, armoire and some paintings it only went up $400. Of course once they arrived is when it over doubled. If you look at the Facebook reviews they seem to do this a lot

Wow. Worst waste of effing money ever. It's been 28 business days and my stuff still isn't here. Upon arrival, they charged me extra load the truck with my already packed stuff. They said it'll most likely be another few thousand to deliver but leaving it up to the office. I wand faulted any of this. I knew it would be a little extra, as it is with all moving companies, but a couple thousand?! Wow. Wow. So, I text and email asking for updates.

Customer service has no idea what good customer service is. Talk about a jerk. Is her name Dawn? She sucks. She's rude. And dodges me whenever possible until I harass her for information. Just give it to me straight and stop lying and stop being an a-hole! Dawn, learn how to do customer service well or get a new line of work cus this ain't for you hunny.

Where the hell is my stuff?! I was quoted 2-14 days, and knew it could be more because that's how it always works, but this is absolutely ridiculous. I have a strong feeling my stuff is stolen and gone. Do. Not. Use. This. Company. Pretty sure those 5 star reviews are paid for or from people they know.

I am posting this review late from when we moved last year 2018. This company was hired for our move through the military and it was the worse experience. The day our home was packed up the movers were in such a hurry to get the job done that they wanted to squeeze a 3 day job into 1 day. So many people were onsite packing stuff that it made it hard to make sure our belongings were packed correctly.

We had a hard time communicating with the workers as most of them didn't speak English which was inconvenient at times because we would have to go outside to talk to Oscar to translate. After we were all packed up, our house was a mess from stuff the movers left behind (trash). Needless to say that was the least of our problems. When we finally moved and got our stuff and unpacked we had damaged and missing stuff (such as one of our beds missing). It's really unfortunate that a company would have no regard for a family's personal belongings and that to us is very unprofessional and untrustworthy.

I hope this company is not used in the future for other military moves and if it is please be on top of them and their work. God knows we were and still had a bad experience.

Terrible experience. Movers came to my storage unit. Unpacked my packed boxes into bigger boxes. Half way through, I was told there is no room for the remaining of my items. Left much behind and told me I needed a 40 foot container instead of 20 foot. Also, claimed that my quote was for 5000 pounds but I'm over 8,000 pounds already and I'm better off with a 40 foot container.

This company was hired via Sonigo in Israel as a local movers. What should have been an easy pack and go turned into a nightmare. Update, so Shiree their CFO, managed to assist me, she sent her crew free to pick up some of remaining items since the container had extra room. I'm grateful for her honesty & despite the early aggravation, happy I was able to find space for some of my items. Overall, the crew was very professional. I only wish the foreman was communicating better.

Joe and his team are extremely professional and helpful and for the first part have made this move stress free. The team were really friendly and fast and had my two bedroom place packed up by 1pm hassle free. Nothing was a problem and will update this review in 8-12 weeks when I unpack in australia. Highly recommend California Relocation Services

My son-in-law is in the Army (stationed in Hawaii) and California Relocation Services was used to move their belongings.finally after being at his station since the beginning of August. I was so very impressed by the entire process! The Army arranged for them to arrive at our house today between 8am and 9am. Jesus and Aldo got here just after 8:30ish.

We chatted briefly since I wasn't sure what to expect. Jesus explained everything in detail and assured me everything would be packed carefully and moved with care. That is exactly what happened. They immediately started moving the big stuff and packing the small stuff along the way. I was quite intrigued by their system. It is 1:40pm and they have already cleared the stuff out of the house and should be loading everything on the truck shortly. Jesus and Aldo were very respectful and showed the utmost professionalism.

In the event I will need to relocate, California Relocation Services will be the mover we call. And. I would request that Jesus and Aldo be the movers! Fantastic job guys! Thank you for making this long difficult process easier to handle today. Now let's hope the rest of the process of getting their belongings to Hawaii goes just as smooth.
