DO NOT RENT HERE. Manager is EXTREMELY RUDE and doesn't care about anyone including her own employees. She always has an attitude and when you ask to speak with her she refuses to get on the phone. When you go into the office she is never there so basically there is no way to actually speak to her. Prices for storage are ok but the late fees are outrageous. I've spoken with other customers that rent there as well and they are all on the same page as me. Horribly managed. Something needs to be done immediately or you will be loosing ALOT of business.

The promotion is sorta a scam. 1$ first month, next month promotional price, after that it's regular price. I went with pubic storage. Same promotion except they don't change it to regular price!

Owner/Employee THIEVES + breach of contract. I cannot begin to believe this. I have been loyal customer almost 2.5 years and always paid in full on time even NOW. I have maintained multiple units and have paid them thousands of dollars. One unit I have had since the get go, whereas the others I had closed paid in full on time and left in good condition.

Two months ago I rented another unit 10 x 20 in preparation for an upcoming move and did not even get a chance to utilize it yet although I have brought in a few moving supplies and a couple chairs. I estimate about $225 value total. The unit had two rollup doors back and front. I put a lock on one door and did not get around to putting the second lock on.

I went to pay my Nov. bill and they told me I only had one unit. No I had two units I informed them and the second one was paid in FULL till end of month. They informed me it was closed out sometime towards the end of Oct (20 something). I said no I never closed it out. As it turns out THEY closed my unit out for me and stated they thought I abandoned the unit because one door did not have a lock.

And not only that they rented it out to someone else. I was PAID in FULL on time and needed to continue renting my unit. Contract states if it is unlocked they can secure it (meaning place a lock on it). Instead they closed out my unit STOLE my GOODS and did not return them. This is a breach of contract. And they have no right to STEAL my goods. I asked what did you do with my stuff trash it.

The owner said YES. That is a LIE. I had brand new folding chairs, paint supplies, and buckets. In addition nice moving dollys and some other stuff. Including bags of my deceased mother's paperwork that was for ME to discard as I saw fit not THEM. I was PAID IN FULL and and have been a customer almost 2.5 years. I asked the owner whey they could not even give me a curtesy call and she gave me a song and a dance.

I am completely DISGUSTED with this place it is not even well maintained. Very grungy inside. Contract does not give them a right to close my paid unit and STEAL my stull just because it does not have a lock on one door. They reimbursed me for a rented unit I never actually got to use but not for my stuff.

Absolutely the worst place to store your belongings. I don't know where to start. When I went there to get my things a few times my code works and the last trip I needed to make before the first of the month they suspended my code on August 31 at 9 pm. All I needed was one more trip and it would be empty. The day before the 30th of August we were there to pick up our stuff.

Everyone got kicked out of there because there was state police investigation going on due to a foul smell. I guess there was a dead body in there or something that's how I would describe the horrific smell. So that was an inconvenience to us. Now it is the first and I had called to see if I had to pay a full months rent or not because I couldn't get my stuff out on time.

The guy said yes and I said I'm not paying a full month for one extra day! I asked to speak to the manager and he couldn't give me her contact so how do they resolve my issue? They Don't! The worst place of business they just want your money and don't care about u. Do not use this place they will take u for your money!

Been a customer here for four years. Always paid on time. The clerk on the phone got pretty hostile with me when I tried to ask why they were closed one day randomly, and kept calling me names and threatening me as I was trying to pay rent over the phone. Totally wild. Pretty standard for this place. It's a total mess. Avoid like the plague.

I am a new customer. I Called central falls 401-726-7666 because this is the facility I had to open an account for a unit in Lincoln. I needed to verify the amount of the monthly payment. The RUDE/male person told me to call the Lincoln number. I understood 726 3556. No answer, so I called C.F I stated the Lincoln did not answer. He very abruptly said "you didn't call".

I gave him the number I had written down, he said in his derogative manner "I didn't say that, I said 726 3555". Well I hung up and dialed 726 3555. The same RUDE DUDE answered! I said "oh your the same person!" He said "Yeah the same person." and continued speaking down to me. I had enough of this unprofessional customer service and totally unnecessary rudeness and run around when he could have simply said the price of the unit.

After he was thru chastising me I finally was given the amount due on my unit. If I could give a negative star rating for customer service and rudeness I would. He should be TERMINATED IMMEDIATELY.

This place is great, I have been using them for many years and it has never failed once for me to get in there with my access code. It's usually always empty and the staff is nice. The only part that sucks is that there are no elevators so you have to take heavy items up the stairs.

I loved this place. Storage was clean. Moved here from Texas and put my things in storage here and units are nice and clean. I didn't have not one issue.

Terrible experience with these people. The Storage Unit above mine leaked into my unit onto an Antique Reupholstered chair. I went to report the issue & the person I was talking abruptly got up and walked away without even acknowledging my presence. I then tried to talk to someone else behind the counter & she quickly dismissed me. I called another location and was told there are no managers or owners to talk to? After pleading with this man, he assured me his boss would call me back. I never heard back & repeated phone calls went un returned.

Not a fan of Storage America. Was a customer for 2-3 years and never once did they update their antiquated payment system. You literally have to either call them by phone or go in person each month in order to pay. No online payments. Was a loyal customer but when it came time to move out, they followed me for hours INSIDE the storage harassing me for another month's payment.

I was gone on the 1st and had to pay a full month. If I would have shown up after hours I could have vacated without them knowing and would have made them go through the whole process of locking down my unit and putting it up for auction without them knowing it had already been emptied. Never again. I'll pay more to go somewhere else that will respect me.

As a college student, finding the most cost efficient things in life are EXTREMELY important, and Storage American helped me feel save tons! With a plus, the workers and phenomenal and go above and beyond to make their customers feel good with their unit and safe with their belongings! Manager and Desiree were so friendly. I HIGHLY recommend!

Ditto the comment on mice, we had significant mice damage. Also, concur with the comment about poor customer service. This is a ruthless business. The personnel do not cater to the customer and hold you to extremely rigorous terms. Sure it's cheap, but what bothers me is that they make you go above and beyond what the terms of the contract say. Try at your own risk, there are much better values out there that for $20 more per month will offer at least that in better service. Would not recommend or use again.

Great service, nice people, but. I got charged for more miles than I drove. I tried to call back and talk to them about it and they argued with me.

February 2014, they've raised they're rates and reduced their military discount. Other than that, it's clean and secure, but with non-A/C units you will get mice.

My husband & I moved from the west coast, and we had about 25 boxes shipped directly to SA in Providence. We chose to do so because renting a U-Haul was going to be ridiculously expensive, and mailing our stuff looked like our best option. We were a little nervous about sending all of our worldly possessions into the abyss without knowing who would be receiving it or what the facility would be like.

But we decided to take a chance. To our pleasant surprise, we got a phone call from one of the employees, Nelson, who told us how many of our boxes had arrived and when they had arrived. Once we finally got to RI to retrieve our stuff, the guys at SA were great to work with. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and they made me feel good about our stuff being safe.

One employee, Lou, gave us very clear information about our payment options as well. I walked away feeling well informed and like our stuff was safe. Plus, the facility was cleaner than I expected it to be. These guys really made our move easier. I am very grateful!
