Hours are not convenient for people who work.close at 5 weekdays and closed on Saturdays

Requested a proposal for some fencing for my house. The sales rep came out to my house promptly and I had a complete proposal to consider before he left. I had two issues. The first issue was that they required a 50% deposit and the balance upon completion. I wanted 25% down -- 25% when they showed up and the balance upon completion. The second issue was that their terms had the statement -- "Buyer acknowledges and agrees this agreement is not a time of essence contract".

This means that they can put off installation for an indeterminate length of time with no recourse for the buyer. The rep tried to assure me that the job wouldn't be delayed but these days who knows what could happen and In the mean time they would have my significant deposit. When I asked the rep to go back to management and express my concerns he was firm that the company would not negotiate either of my concerns but he would mention it when he went back. The rep/the company never had the courtesy to get back to me. That says a lot to me about that company. Beware of that clause in their terms and conditions!

My fence looks fine but I regret going with wood and wire- ultimately I think I really overpaid and I felt a little pushed around. I just bought a house and had a fence put up. They advised me that a fence abutting my yard probably belonged to me due to the way it was installed- and included repair to it as part of the quote, which I agreed to. Turns out it was my neighbor's fence and he fixed it a day or 2 before work was supposed to begin, unbeknownst to me.

The morning of, I asked if we could deduct that from the total. They said probably not, because it was too late and they had already bought the material. I never got a call back. They did the job and left without leaving me the material that supposedly belonged to me (and that they were probably just going to re-use for another job) and when I called and got through to the sales guy, he said no, that unfortunately they couldn't give me a break for either materials OR labor.

I have some blame in this as well but I was left with a bad taste in my mouth, and wished I had gone with someone who needed the business a little more and with some basic customer service skills.

Could not be happier with our experience installing a 6 ft cedar fence around our yard. Melissa in the office was incredibly helpful and kind throughout the process, and she is obviously highly skilled in her work. Mike and the crew were extremely polite and professional, working quickly and doing a stellar job. Mike took the time to explain a change he noticed needed to be made in order to make sure the fence was installed properly to keep our small beagle from escaping, which was very much appreciated.

We chose Wood and Wire knowing we might pay slightly more for the speed and professionalism of this company, and are SO happy we did! The fence looks even better than we hoped and our dogs are happy and safe :

We had a post and beam fence installed and wanted wire fencing to keep dogs inside fence. The stated they could not do that due to a slight incline in our yard and suggested another "chain link" type fencing. It looks absolutely terrible. I since noticed multiple fences in our area with the wire fencing we originally wanted on sloped areas but for some reason this company can only do a more expensive ugly chain link. To switch to a less noticeable wire fencing they wanted to charge another $1600! I would not recommend this company.

I just got a load of 8 foot cedar pickets dog ear style. Amazing quality and great price.very happy with the quick order fulfillment just a few days and it was ready. The product is perfect and the price very nice and I shopped around. This is my new shop for any future fencing needs. Good guys and gals there too.

Mark, the sales rep, was very nice and easy to work with. The fence that was installed the first time was crooked and took about 3 weeks to get straightened out. I am happy with the fence now that it's fixed but I would've been much happier if it was installed properly the first time.

Wood & wire was the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a contractor they made multiples mistakes and repairs were done multiple times before coming somewhat close to being corrected sales person totally unprofessional. A two day job took seven weeks to complete. One single gate door and a double gate doors for a trailer to get in and out, the double gate door had to be repaired three times And even the finished product one side still did not open up more than 50% also they had the fence right against my house when I asked them to trim it they trimmed the side wrong side the one that wasn't touching and left the side that was.

I had sagging sections that had to be replaced but the salesman would not authorize said we are not building furniture this is all within the 7 weeks. I had to take pictures send videos and deal with upper management to get what is still a unsatisfactory job. A 140 ft of cedar fencing was $7100 and I can't stand to even look at it. I picked wood and wire because of the 3 year warranty but after doing nothing but waiting even before it was paid for I can only imagine how long I would have to wait now that it's been paid for. I have pictures of all the mistakes and emails. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy, nobody deserves such poor craftsmanship and unprofessionalism.

Am having a lot of the bad experiences other customers are have with this company except for me it's the first time am buying something from them, this will be the last thing I buy there.wrong product, damaged, no call, no show, bad assembly u name it, bad bad customer service so on.

I had given these people my business for 20 years, but they have become arrogant, bureaucratic and plain rude. They didn't return a call requesting a repair and after TWO WEEKS I called back to be told that the woman who schedules was off for the day and no one else could do it. I was told a manager would call, and he never did. They insist on sending someone to estimate even a small job and have you sign papers and then they schedule it for weeks later.

They seem afraid that customers will cheat them, and I can understand that since they have zero customer service. I've already secured another supplier who returns calls, can come and fix or install, and then leaves a bill for me to pay. Stay away from this arrogant company caught in the 1950s. Small business as its worst.

Best experience I've ever had ordering and installing fence for my home. They were kind and courteous, the entire process was professional. I would use them again.

Total Rip Off Wood and Wire is one of the only fence part distributors in the local area so if you have a project your forced to order from them. The prices of the materials they sell are 3 times the cost of buying the products online, but if you need parts immediately then your hands are tied. 4 dollars for a single fence picket when box stores sell them for 1.50 and 4 dollars for metal fence pole clips that cost 2 bucks on Home Depot.com Be prepared to pay through the nose. Same exact issue for me. Made an appointment, at their convenience and waited. Nobody showed up. No call, nothing. I called the office and I was told if nobody showed up in a half hour, call back. Wouldn't you know, the time I was told to call back was after the office had closed. Like the other reviewer, nobody from Wood & Wire has called me back.

This is an old RI company who does a lot of business with construction companies. My guess is that they can treat homeowners like $&*% because they believe they don't need our business.

If I could give zero stars I would. I called this company and made an appointment for someone to come out and give me a quote on replacing my fence. The only times available are during the day so I blocked out time on my schedule so I could leave work. I left work and waited 45 minutes and nobody showed up. No phone call, nothing. The appointment was 2 days ago and nobody has contacted me to apologize or offer an explanation.

When I was in outside sales I would call if I was going to be 5 minutes late for an appointment. If this is how they treat a potential customer they obviously don't deserve my business.
