Advantage Moving

My husband and I used Advantage moving for the first time and would definitely recommend! We were greeted by Sharif, Tyler and Mike who were not only effective but are extremely hard workers. Our furniture was taking care and and they finished on time which was a huge plus! We would definitely use them again.

Excellent service! The four gentlemen who came to move us were very courteous, prompt, took great care of our belongings, and were very quick! I have not had a better experience with my prior moves and would use them again in a heartbeat

"Beware"Do not use (Advantage moving) Ct, they broke my tv & furniture and left the stuff outside. Owner does not care he over works the teenagers as per workers and was told by owner Greg to take everything out truck and leave it outside that's the way they do business scamming people trying to take your money after it's all messed up and left outside. they don't even cover with protective sheets they threw stuff around not even secured they put chair on tv who does that?

They where speeding and disappear for hours not knowing I was right next to them. Company won't pay for damages. I paid what was agreed on and Greg owner wanted to raise it more. I had to move my own furniture they left outside and not Pay me for the damages they did when they moved it In Truck. I shouldn't even had to pay $200 that's what I agreed on. And I paid it. Horrible ownership.

We had a great experience with Advantage Moving. The two movers were professional and friendly and did a great job. They were both pleasant to deal with throughout. All of our items were handled with care from start to finish.

Top of line in moving. Very nice and respectful. Were very quick, wasn't trying to slow down for extra money. Took excellent care of my furniture. Most reliable movers that I ever had. Will used them again.

Would use use Advantage Moving and Storage again, and recommend Advantage moving and Storage to all my friends and family. They disassembled furniture moved all our boxes and reassembled our furniture in our new home. They were on time, extremely polite and quick to get the job done. A big thanks and shout out goes to Raymond and Willie.

I had a great experience using Advantage Moving. Reef and Terry were punctual, professional and efficient. They had everything moved in a lot less time than I thought it would have taken and most importantly all my things are still intact. Would definitely use them again.

If I could give this company zero stars, I would. Two guys showed up to help my boyfriend move his already packed boxes. A third guy finally showed up but barely did a thing. everyone complained the whole time how they had to hurry up so they could move on to their next job. So they completely rushed, ruining about 1/3 of my boyfriend's things.

A cabinet, an end table, a queen size headboard, several boxes of papers & books (seemed like they were dropped and thrown back into the boxes) ALL ruined. I just don't get it. Then when I called to speak to a manager, I was rudely told I'd be called back and here we are with zero calls back. I left another voicemail for a manager but again, that was also ignored. Please don't hire this awful company!

We moved to a new location at end of July. Two trucks with our stuffs stayed over night at their storage facility. A lot of my household items went missing. The most valuable item that disappeared was my iRobot. I called the owner and asked him to return only the iRobot because it was a present which was very valuable to me. He returned my phone call and said that his workers would never steal anything.

I never even accused them I just asked him to return my vacuum cleaner. He sent me a $75 check for the missing item. He reimbursed the cost of this item by weight! 0.60 per pound! How does he know how much it weights if he doesn't have it! His workers asked us for the tip which we didn't mind to pay. He asked $500! For this amount of money I was expecting at least to have my items safely delivered.

Now the owner doesn't return my phone calls and doesn't respond to the emails. Poor quality of service. Never use them! You will end up paying much more then with different companies! I am regretting hiring them. I will notify the better business bureau. Don't make my mistake!

We are completley dissapointed with this experience. At first everything was great, and we were really happy with the work. Until they got their truck stuck in our front yard. This caused a delay on the length of time it took them to unload our truck and everything that we agreed to verbally in our yard was not followed or completed. We agreed for them to fix the mess they left INCLUDING.a return trip to add grass seed back to the yard that was destroyed.

Not only has this not happened, they are now claiming that agreement was never made. In addition they told us they would reduce the amount of hours on our bill due to the mistake and that also has not happened. We're working with hire a helper to get this portion resolved, but the incorrect hour submission is on them and they aren't taking responsibility for this either.

I tried to resolve this through better business burreau and they are denying everything we agreed to verbally day of move and claiming I was satisfied. I was satisfied with the agreement we initially made that never happened. Now I feel taken advantage of my willingness to trust their word of mouth. I do not recommend them for large moves. They are claiming we consented to them parking this way to avoid added time, which is simply not true.

We agreed to letting them do it when they assured us their would be no damage, which obviously is not the case. In addition to that we were repeatedly told they wouldn't take the full time, so to say now that it would of taken added time isn't fair. I wanted to resolved this off the web by asking for the refund for the hours like we agreed to but they aren't taking responsibility so I want to help others avoid this 2 week long fight.

I hired this moving service through Hireahelper.com. I was arranging my move while working out of state and I was very short on time to get everything done. Had I done my research (googled) and seen the other bad reviews, I would have NEVER hired them. Every negative comment is true! They are a complete rip-off! It ended up costing me over $700 to load an ALREADY BOXED AND PACKED one bedroom apartment onto their truck and to unload the things into a storage unit.

Not only did one of the movers (Sharif) ask me to help them (which I've never experienced before from a moving service that I'm paying for by the way), but as other reviews state, he right away mentioned tips.then went further to ask if I can pay the tip in cash "because the owner takes a couple of weeks to give them tips when it's left on the customer's credit card".

I have no problem at all with tipping good workers.especially for such strenuous and laborious work! I have always had very good experiences with movers that I've hired via Hireahelper.com up until now. This was a complete disappointment! I felt like they took total "advantage" of the situation I was in and I was so much more stressed from the experience than I should have been!

Once everything was loaded into their truck, we were all supposed to head directly to my storage unit. The storage facility is literally 3.6 miles from my apartment building. I arrived there and waited for them for over half an hour! They told me that they stopped at the store! Really?! Meanwhile, I'm paying for the extra hour! Also, I'm pretty certain that whenever I remove my things from the storage unit, there will be damages.

They were very careless with how they placed things on the dollies, etc. Moving is always a hassle, but it's just so much better when you can deal with movers who aren't trying to milk the situation! Do NOT hire Advantage Moving!

First of all, I did not hire this company directly, but had inadvertently hired them thru " Hire A Helper." Had I read any reviews, I would have never proceeded with having them come to my home. Then arrived with a truck, much too small for the move, and proceeded t tell me I only paid for 2 hours.and that an additional amount of "probably $5000.00 dollars will be needed." " You scheduled a truck way to small". " No worries, I'll work with you ".At least 4 times the lead mover said that gratuities are appreciated in cash.

The contract was for 4 hours, the lead mover, E, said they could not go back to my original location after the first drop. He told me that the contract was for not only 2 hours, but for a one room apartment with no boxes. Obviously, this type of individual knows that this is a very stressful time, and is used to taking advantage. E had a very strong interest in a large container of change I had in the house, and although I told him to leave it where it was, he was very verbal with" I'll move it, I'll help with it, boy this is a lot of money, etc." At the end of the move, half of the jar was empty, but he had nicely taped the remaining coin in the container.

I also had an almost full bottle of Patron Silver disappear. God knows what else he stole that I am not aware of yet! I do not believe the other 2 movers were involved in this theft, only the most vocal, lead mover. Wonder if they are aware that a crime like this, on seniors, is considered a felony? My son called the owner of Advantage, but he did not believe anything my son said.

I am trying to reach out to "Hire A Helper", to make sure they realize the type of business they are endorsing. I had to hire a completely different moving company.and had I known Advantage was what "HireAHelper" was using, and checked their reviews, I would have never proceeded with this contract. "Fully Licensed and Insured" is what their card says.against what I might wonder, because taking advantage of people in a vulnerable time in their life, and blatantly stealing from those same people, is not only horrific, but speaks to the type of individual Advantage Moving has working for them! Never, Never, Never, hire this company to help you with your move.you will not only be more stressed, but will be stolen from & lied to!

I have to say I was very disappointed with this moving company. They where very unprofessional. Not to mention both movers showed up high when unloading and asked me if I was interested in purchasing weed from him. Mind you this suppose to be their best two movers per manager when I called to complain. I want to say every peace of large furniture has some type of damage on it not mention they completely damage my sofas trying to get them through the front door.

They never once tried to protect my furniture from being damage. Mind you they have all the necessities in the back of the truck to cover or protect my furniture. This is just some of the stuff I felt it was important to talk about. Speaking with management is useless. He basically told me he's taking care of it in the hopes that I would go away. After calling multiple times. I get a check for 84.00 what am I suppose to do with that? Yeah I would not recommended this moving company to no one

I never actually got moved because they showed up with to small a truck the boss put down that I only had 6 boxes when I had said 6 rooms of boxes and a shed and garage. Who has 6 boxes in a 6 room house. his guys were great and tried to make it right but their boss wouldn't let them I had to move today and had called a month ahead of time. Good thing there are other reliable moving companies around

DO NOT USE. There is no ADVANTAGE TO USING THIS COMPANY. Cancelled on my mother the DAY OF HER MOVE, after showing up and leaving because they had another job and wrote down the wrong info about the house. My mother is a recent widow leaving the house she shared with her husband and your pathetic company made it even worse. Disgusting. Definitely writing to the BBB. I only had to move a few pieces of furniture and about 20 boxes from my second-floor condo to my new house. (My son will still live in the condo and needed furniture; my boyfriend had plenty of other furniture.) Contracted for two guys. Three showed up! I was a bit concerned about the price differential, especially because I knew we'd be under the 3-hour minimum.

After they unloaded all my stuff at the house, the guy who seemed to be in charge called his boss and got the OK to charge me only what I was quoted. They were quick, courteous, and respectful of my stuff - two of my furniture items were made by relatives and thus have a lot of sentimental value.

Terrible from the start the workers will try to extort you for money from the time they pull in.there's no quality w this company, it's all numbers just get anyone there no matter what it takes u need 3 guys ( what I ordered) I'll send two then the dude I get in a blow out w in driveway over him thinking he was gonna extort from the start wrong house buddy.,m aybe this is a tip that the owner should be passing forward, how about you feel your situation out before you go blasting w some stupid shit talking about working harder for money on the side.get out of here. I am shocked to see there are good reviews on here. I would leave a 0 out of 5 stars if I could. The movers damaged multiple items in our home, including my daughter's crib. They also lost a box in the move. We got a check in the mail for a ridiculously low amount. They just guessed the cost and weight of everything damaged when deciding on our claim refund. We've been contacting them for 2 weeks because we would at least like the crib covered but no one gets back to us. Save yourself the trouble and hire someone else!

My girlfriend ordered Advantage for her move out of a two bedroom townhouse. Everything was done over the phone in regards to the assessment which was a little weird since they were coming sight unseen. She double checked that one truck would be enough and was assured it was. Fast forward to moving day and they showed up with a 16 foot truck! Owner suggested either they did two trips or bring a 26 foot truck the next day. Offered no discount on price or help in appeasing the situation. We canceled the move with a Advantage and booked another company. Don't use Advantage.

These guys really worked there tails off.! Very impressed. They didn't leave until the job was done and made sure we had everything where we wanted it. We would totally hire them again and you can't beat their price.

I hired these guys to pick up a couch for me before even coming to my house at which point they picked up additional items and the entire load needed to be delivered to a third location. They went above and beyond and not only moved everything, helped me by openning the carpet I had purchased before bringing in furniture. They also worked with me with the bill. they were very polite and considerate. Mike and Charlie were great and I would recommend them anyday. Mandy

The owner Greg was really transparent on the service agreement. The crew was great except they didn't have the tools to disassemble the beds. Also please tell the movers on the important furniture and fragile materials.

Not trustworthy! Although we gave them a complete inventory BEFORE the move, they showed up with a truck too small for one load. Instead of getting their bigger truck and make one trip to our new home, they refused and used one truck for two trips costing us much more. The men kept hinting for a tip and like a fool I gave them one but got a weird look and no thanks.

I felt pressured into giving them extra money. Furniture had minor scratches but some pieces were left on the lawn as were our plants. They reconnected our washer and dryer. However, they dropped a washer not placed in the hose. Unknown to me we opened the water and got a flood. Dyer hose was not attached properly either. All I got was an argument from their manager when I reported these items. We are seniors and money is tight. I feel we were taken "advantage" of by this company. My advice, DON'T USE THESE CLOWNS

Horrible experience.we had so many problems with this company. They tore up the lawn to my new house, they broke an expensive baby gate and a window (didn't mention it. I did a walk through when they left and found the stuff broken), they took a bed frame of fiancee's (I know it was loaded into the truck but now it has disappeared) and one of the employees kept asking for shots of my whiskey and drank while on the job.both my fiance and I called to voice our concerns and complaints but no reply back from the owner.this company will break and damage your stuff and not replace it and steal.beware.very very disorganized as well (didn't have own tools for packing up pieces to tvs, etc).we hired movers thinking it would be a help for our new home but, it was a nightmare!
