I went to their website and filled out their forms to get a "free quote" for a long distance move. Normally, after this, a mover responds with a quote. Very simple. What these guys did is, give my information to dozens of moving companies across the US. So literally within 15-20 minutes of filling out their form, I'm getting spammed with phone calls from various movers (voicemails, texts, etc) which has continued now for a week.
If you can't trust them with your phone number for a "free quote", can you trust them to move your entire home? Oh well.looking forward to another day of telemarketers interrupting my workday.

No-show- totally unprofessional. If I could give 0 stars, I'd do that. Firstly, like with other people commenting here, they changed the price and deliberately left it vague. From the moment they charged the deposit, communication was non-existent. We never got the confirmation call, nobody answered the phone, not even in the main office. Only after I'd left several messages, did I receive a text message from Doug stating that the movers would come by today around noon.
At 2 pm I still had no idea where the movers were not when they'd arrive, so I started calling the office and Doug's cellphone non-stop. No answer. Twenty minutes later I received a text message stating the movers were running "a little late" and would call me shortly. "Shortly" seems to be a broad term for this business, since I have yet to hear back from them. After trying multiple times to contact them via call and text, we decided to hire another truck so we could vacate the apartment. Totally

Terrible experience from start to finish. For starters, we never received a call letting us know of the exact time that our belongings would be picked up. We called the office multiple times on the day of the move and did not hear from anyone. We were worried they would not show but around 2:30PM we finally got a call saying they would be there in 15 min.
Prior to this we were freaking out they wouldn't come (read other reviews where people experienced this). After they picked up our belongings we didn't hear anything for 2 weeks. Called in 2 weeks and they notified us our stuff had not even left the original state and was in some warehouse. We received our shipment later than originally promised. At delivery, we were supposed to be provided with a weight before our items were loaded and after our items were loaded to determine how much we owed.
They supplied us a weight via email that was less than the original estimate, however, at time of delivery they had no proof of the weight and demanded that we pay the full original estimate. They said the emailed weight was a mistake and we owed the full original estimate. They refused to offload our belongings unless we did this. On top of that, multiple items were damaged AND they stored our belongings in a warehouse with MICE/RATS!
There was evidence of teeth marks on certain bags where they chewed through and also rat poop in some of our boxes. We called the office, notified the deliverymen, and emailed the person we originally worked with and have not yet heard back from anyone regarding this. Terrible customer service and extremely difficult move. Would not recommend them.

I hired Express Movers to do moving and storage. They were extremely responsive and I had a great experience with them! Service is very efficient and up to the standard! Rates were affordable. l am glad my things arrived safely after being in storage. They were easy to work with and I totally recommend them.

If you desire a customer service oriented moving company, this is not it! If you wish to receive a cost estimate that doesn't change on the day of the move for the same items you were originally quoted, this is not your company! If you would like them to show up to pick up your items and also deliver your items on the day you are quoted, FORGET IT! SAVE YOURSELF THE STRESS-GO ELSEWHERE!

These guys were great! My move was just across town, but there was a snow storm rolling in and they adjusting their timing to get me moved before the storm. They were friendly and professional, and got pretty creative in getting all my stuff up the narrow, windy steps to my third floor condo. Definitely recommend!

WORST MOVERS EVER! DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM! We were moving from NYC (midtown east) to NJ and scheduled a move with them at 9am. By 9:30, no one showed up or called, so we called them and the rep who answered our phone had no clue what was going on and then came back and told us that our move got pushed to noon. Then he called us back right before noon and told us that they cannot move us today and if they can reschedule for tomorrow. All he offered us was a 5% discount. Not reliable and unprofessional!

Horrific experience! What started out great with Annie Andreeva, from Express Movers, turned into a costly and disappointing fiasco. We booked them for a dedicated move from the Boston suburbs to Arizona. We were sending boxes and a valuable family dining room set to the Dallas area. They told us they could make a stop in Dallas in the way to Az and we fell for this promise.
The Dallas stop arrived on 7/21/18 with broken and opened boxes, missing wedding gifts, and worst of all, over $2400.00 worth of damage to the dining room Furniture. Even the glass shelves to the dining room chin cabinet went missing. The stuff showed up in a container car that seemed to come from a train car. That was not what we signed up for. When the salesperson operations manager finally called us back she played dumb.
After sending her repair estimates twice, which she requested, we still have not heard from her It is now August 25th, 2018. Over a month after that delivery. Our Tucson stuff came on July 28, 2018. There was broken liquid all over smashes in boxes. Many of our formed artworks were damaged, some beyond repair. The movers in this end were super nice guys and they stated the goods showed d up in Pa. Relayed to them in this state of disaster.
They seemed embarrassed and apologized. Again, no response from Annie Andreeva until about 19 days ago. It is now August 25, 2018. This is no way to run a business. Express Movers and Annie should be ashamed of themselves.

I'll start with the guys that did the physical labor we're great! That's being said, the offices are a joke. I got a call halfway through my window for their arrival that my time had been moved from 9a-12p to 4p-5p. Ok, at 11a, this messed up my entire schedule. When I contacted my sales person he told me he would have dispatch call me.
They never did. When I followed up after about my unhappiness, they did not care that my day was had to be completely rearranged due to the time change. Customer service is everything now and they do not do it well. Find other movers unless you don't mind waiting all day for them.

I wanted to give this company a chance because when Annie came out to give a quote she was on time and thorough. Wow was I disappointed. Our boxes just showed up yesterday. Not a single box was labeled. Also nothing was actually packed.all of our items were just thrown into boxes. Most of our dishes are broken. Clothing on hangers were thrown into boxes rather than hung on wardrobe boxes.
Like another reviewer, a great deal of our stuff has water damage and reeks of mold. I will tell anyone I speak with to never use this company. On top of terrible packing and damaged products, we also had no communication with the company. They were impossible to get ahold of and still are as we try to work through all of the damaged items! STAY AWAY! It will be worth paying 500-1000 more for a company that actually values your business and will take care of your items.

One of the worst company to choose for your move. They never come on time and also good are damaged with with careless handling. Never ever go with this for moving. They had told me they will come on Monday morning 8 to move my items from Michigan to Massachusetts, they end up coming at midnight 8.45 and my entire day was a waste waiting for them.
And also while delivering the items initially it was discussed to get this on Saturday and last minute they told its not possible should be on Tuesday afternoon. The delivery guys where here by 10 instead of 12 to 2 window they mentioned started blackmailing that if am not in house in 20 mins they will charge extra money for waiting and also they told if I don't come they would go back and dont know when they would deliver.
One hell horrible service and also one of the support lady was very rude when i tried to explain my concerns. Only guy to trust is Mr Mark in their Waltham office he is very nice and supportive.

It took me a while to write this review as I was trying to settle down at my new place after these movers basically destroyed most of my stuff. I only found this place because my friend recommended it. I should have looked them up here before hand because the reviews here on how terrible they are, are very accurate. First of all the communications between the staff and my movers has been very hard.
I got a call 30 minutes before pickup. No one day notice or anything. Secondly, according to one of their movers, his companion does not even have any experience in moving, does not speak english and was only sent to do the job because of "family ties". I really hope they have proper documentation for his right to work as things will be going down soon.
And then, as for delivery, no notice was given again. 30 minutes is all you get. After they unpacked my stuff, my desk, my tv, my bed and my pantry rack were all destroyed. DESTROYED. an accident is one thing but having for of your things destroyed is not an accident. It is being incompetent. They basically told me to file a claim so right now I am waiting for the answer from the claims department.
Its not even just the things that they destroyed, instead of just setting up my things, I had to do a whole lot of furniture shopping and basically build it from scratch by myself because of their incompetence.

BEWARE! They do not even deserve a half of one star! This is by far the worst company I've ever done business with. If you want your personal belongings completely destroyed during your move then this is who to use. By the time all of my boxes and furniture arrived at its destination they were completely crushed and destroyed. New boxes came off the truck wet and flat as pancakes and everything was broken. Everything!
They showed up for the delivery at 10 pm with underaged kids helping out with the move, I couldn't believe my eyes! I did not feel comfortable with what appeared to be an 11 year old girl moving my stuff so I had to pitch in and help move stuff myself! When I complained to the company about this they could care less. They offered $50 in the end for all my broken stuff.
I never accepted their peanut offer from the pathetic settlement company they use. BEWARE and stay far away if you value your hard earned things, they are a little cheaper in cost but you will absolutely get what you pay for! Don't make the same mistake as me. UPDATE: just reading their pathetic unacceptable response to this post should illustrate to everyone exactly the type of skirting the responsibility this company does and how disgusting their business practices are.
Obviously if this many people have had negative experience it isn't a lie. I can't imagine how this company has any five star reviews that aren't fake or paid for. Every interaction I had with this terrible group was a miserable exercise in futility as they failed to inform me of any scheduling information in a timely fashion. I was given a timeline of 4 days for my move at first, then told they didn't know when I'd be receiving my shipment, but they'd contact me in a few days to let me know when they'd have it.
All attempts to get a more concrete timeline from them were spurred and I ended up having to spend extra nights in a hotel waiting on a decision (mentioning reimbursement to their sad excuse for customer service "Annie" caused an angry outburst. real classy stuff). When they finally did schedule a date they told me the delivery would be between 2 and 4pm.
I waited in an empty apartment until 8:30pm when they finally arrived. I never received unprompted updates about when I'd be waiting till, and had to continuously ask them for information about the timeline. The icing on this sad excuse for a cake is that they didn't even do a good job with moving my things! Multiple pieces damaged beyond repair, everything else dented and scuffed from the obvious lack of care or attention.
The mattress was basically folded in half and clearly had been for some time. They do offer insurance and while my first recommendation is to not use these awful people, my second would be to take the highest insurance available because you're things WILL be broken. Oh, and if you want to play a fun game, try contacting them after you've paid for the move!

I'm rating initial customer service. I would NEVER let them move me after my phone conversation. I called to get a quote for interstate move and spoke to the rudest guy ever. He should not be answering phones at all. He was very short and talked over me. And because he talked over me; he didn't hear my actual request and misunderstood. I just hang up because I could tell this was gonna be bad from beginning to end.
Just be weary; if they are rude before they even get your business; just imagine how they will be once that check is cashed. Sucks for them because my line of work requires relocation and I have payment through my new job. You guys just lost a potential customer which would have provided multiple referrals for my colleagues that are moving soon. At least I didn't have to waste my time or money and I am happy about that. Again; I can't rate the move but the first impression was terrible.

I contracted Xpress Moves to carry out a move from Evanston, IL, to Bronx, NY (August 20-24). The items were delivered on September 4 after 10 days on Xpress Movers' warehouse. To my surprise, there were boxes missing and several pieces of furniture were water damaged. I can understand that in consolidated moves things can get lost and items can be damaged. However, what I found more surprising about the situation is that when I asked for some explanations about the water damaged items, the moving workers excused themselves claiming that the light items were stored in the open during the summer due to lack of space in the warehouse.
Although they had been wrapped in plastic, the wrapping was not water-tight enough to protect them from rain sipping through both the top and the bottom. Several bookshelves and my mattress were water damaged and covered in mold when delivered. I have used Xpress Movers in the past and was pleased with the service. But the level of sloppiness of this move is indescribable.
I do not believe that leaving your client's properties out in the open under the rain for 10 days is acceptable. My property is not garbage. When I claimed a compensation, they offered me a 76 dollars compensation for all the damage, adding insult to injury (damages ran at about 1000 USD). Update from August 17, 2016. So after Xpress Movers accepted their responsibility for the damages they agreed to pay a compensation of 172 dollars. More than 3 months after having agreed terms and a year after my move, I am still waiting for the check.

Good job Xpress Movers and many thanks to Stoil in particular. January 16th, 2016 was a very cold and rainy day, not necessarily the best day to move, however movers arrived on time, came with lots of complimentary packing boxes and moving tape. Movers used moving pads to protect my shiny floors and wrapped all my furniture in a professional way. Stoil, the manager of the company got personally involved in moving furniture back to back with the other guys, due to high volume of work contracted.
Everyone was pleasant, making the moving process stress free. Bad Yelp reviews didn't discouraged me to contract Xpress movers. Sometimes you must take a leap of faith and trust your gut. I own a business and in my experience people tend to put reviews only when they have to complain about something. Happy customers usually come back and use your services again. Awesome job, highly recommended!

These guys were phenomenal. They did a FANTASTIC job and they gave us the best quote around and if we ever move again they'll be our first call. Why I liked them: - Gave us a detailed quote breaking down all the costs, so no hidden charges - Prompt, friendly customer service - On the day of our move, we received a phone call confirmation letting us know everything was on schedule and who our crew would be--totally kept us in the loop - Incredibly efficient in moving & packing, and did a great job packing our delicates - Moved stuff (including a huge bedroom set) And best of all came in under the quoted price, and were accurate to the 15-minute increment in terms of how much time they charged us for--7.75 hrs instead of 7!
In short, they were the best movers we have ever had. They moved everything in only a few hours it took me 2 days to unpack everything. All our stuff were intact which was great. Keep up the good work guys! We will use you again. Very highly recommend it!

Do yourself a favor and go with a different moving company. The actual moving guys are nice and hardworking, but the management office is obscene. The process of moving is rarely perfect and seamless. The odds are that you'll need to deal with the management at some point while working with Xpress Movers. And the experience of communicating with these people to get to a satisfactory resolution will enrage you, because it simply won't happen. They are not reasonable. Worse, they are pathological. Spend a little more and go with a company that is respectful and fair.

Hire someone else! Xpress Movers moved my family about 20 miles within Massachusetts. The setup process with Felipe was very smooth, but things went downhill from there. The moving crew arrived late to pack the original house, nearly destroying a powerline in the process of parking their truck. Two of the three crew members struggled to speak English, which was extremely frustrating.

They then moved the destroyed remnants of the grill onto my front lawn, and started bumbling their way through the remainder of the boxes. Most of the boxes were delivered to the wrong room, since the crew that couldn't speak English also could not read. Several other items were dinged, dented or destroyed during the move (it happens), but nothing matching the value of the grill.
At the end of the day, they refused to remove the destroyed grill, and tried to charge me for the time that they spent apologizing. During the claim process, the office manager Annie proved to be as incompetent as her employees. I got so frustrated with her inability to return a phone call or an email that I nearly dropped the claim. I always look to Yelp for advice, but I rarely post. However, this experience was so awful I felt I had to write a review for other peoples sake. I am so mad at myself for not taking the previous reviews more seriously. Please listen to me when I say DO NOT USE XPRESS MOVERS under any circumstance. I had three pieces of antique furniture (family heirlooms) shipped from Illinois to NY. Well, two of the pieces where broken upon arrival.
I was then forced to pay for this unacceptable service in order to have them unload the truck. So to recap, I had three pieces shipped by this company, and two were significantly damaged. I spoke to an office manager and she was unfriendly and rude. I will be filing a report with the Better Business Bureau (and any other agency I can find) and I hope others will too. This company doesn't deserve to be in business. Their job is to move things. They move things for sure, but they might arrive in multiple pieces.

I hired them when I move from Boston to New York. They have Good price and Nice people too, BUT. The workers arrived late when they came pick up my stuff, and they told me they keep working for 30 hours before come to me. I mean. What kind of company do that to their employees? And for delivery my stuff in New York 1 day later, first the truck broken down in somewhere, so of course my delivery was totally delayed.
My boxes all arrived with somewhere broken. But luckily everything is still in there.haha I don't really recommend for interstate moving. But probably ok for short distance moving;

I Chose Xpress Movers for my interstate move from Medford, MA to Miami, FL. We've been so busy unpacking that I have not had time to express how satisfied I was with my move. After checking the BBB, I demanded that my selected mover have the credentials of excellence! It was between Xpress Movers and another major company- Atlas. 1- Phone service was amazing. Felipe, my salesperson was very knowledgeable, friendly, and very clear with all the aspects of the move. 2- Pricing was very competitive with other companies but it seems that most major companies try to charge you hidden fees for things you least expect! Xpress Movers gave me the price outright with everything included so there was no discussion on the long run. 3- Pick up and Delivery- I had a 3 day window which was OK, would have preferred two days. Delivery- I asked for 2 weeks of storage, Felipe was able to provide it for FREE.
Delivery took place as agreed 7 days later. 4- Honestly, I could sit here and write for hours about my experience. Movers were really nice! Request Oleg if you can! haha All other men were extremely nice, respectful and worked in a professional manner!. I have recommended Xpress Movers to all my Co-workers so I highly recommend these guys for a hassle free experience.

I worked with Felipe at Xpress Movers to move a partial truckload from Chicago to New York. He was very good to work with. Felipe communicated with me throughout the process and was flexible with pick-up/delivery. His movers were also very nice and professional. They got the job done quickly. I've already recommended working with him to a friend moving out east. His pricing is fair and they did a great job for me-- on time, took good care of my things, and were flexible with arranging pick-up/delivery.

Definitely a positive experience all around! Moving is always a stressful situation for me, but with the help of Xpress Movers it couldn't get any easier! I received a very reasonable estimate from them and they were also recommended to me by a friend of mine who uses their services quite often. A team of 4 young men showed up at my house and they were right on time.
They packed everything right away and required no supervision at all. The man in charge (I forgot his name) was super friendly and very attentive to all of my requests and needs with regards to the move. He made sure that the few furniture pieces I was most concerned about got moved as smoothly as possible! Even my extra heavy stove seemed like a piece of cake for them. The price they charged me was right in line with the estimate they quoted me. Bottom line - I'll be using Xpress Movers again and will definitely recommend them to anyone!

It was our first time using professional moving service. I was a little nervous in the beginning but the sales representative was very nice to explain the entire process to me and assure me that everything will be fine.and he was right. Price was attractive and all the fees were communicated upfront. The movers showed-up on time. They were very organized and wrapped everything carefully before placing it in the truck.
They even helped us disassemble our bed! There were no damages and missing stuff. The guys were very efficient and friendly. It was a wonderful experience. If we have to move again without any doubt I will call Xpress Movers. They are great and I will recommend them to everybody.
