The Allston Piano movers showed up on time, did a thoroughly professional job disassembling and wrapping up my baby grand and got it moved out in surprisingly short time. Thanks guys, looking forward to being reunited with it this fall.

Allston moved a Steinway M grand piano into our basement. It was a difficult move with a very, very tight fit underneath the ceiling at the bottom of the stairs. Other movers had refused to attempt it. Allston was very responsive. The guys onsite made the attempt without a board in order to save space, and with some creative wriggling, managed to get the piano in place. The guys were professional, great communicators, and most of all sporting enough to give it a go at a tough job. Very grateful for the excellent service from these guys.

These guys are supposed to be the best piano movers in Boston, so I had every confidence in trusting them with my beloved Steinway M during a move in August of 2017. Unfortunately, my fellow reviewers seem to have had better success. While moving my piano up a single flight of stairs, they put a massive crack along the length of the fallboard. Also, my piano was scratched during the move.

As a professional pianist, this was deeply upsetting to me. Allston did cover the cost of all repairs necessitated as a result of their negligence. This is the only reason I'm giving them 2 stars. The fallboard had to be rebuilt, as the current Steinway M uses a slightly different fallboard design. Thankfully, there are now no signs of the damage.

They also covered the cost of refinishing to remove scratches sustained during the move. I didn't want to write a review at first because I wanted to make sure that the cost of repairs was covered completely. But now, I feel it necessary to warn my fellow pianists. Allston might be fine moving an old spinet, but I would never trust them with my piano again.

Allston Piano Moving was a total pleasure to work with. Nuno and his team worked quickly, safely and expertly to move my 6 foot Yamaha Baby Grand Piano from the first floor of our home to a basement location. This required a 4 man team to help ease the piano down a slight lawn covered grade to a red brick patio and then into our basement via a walk in rear door. Perfect! They also moved an exercise treadmill and a Spin bike up to our second floor. Flawless job. I'd highly recommend them for anyone's move.

They were absolutely great moving my piano out of 3rd floor with a crane to a 1st floor house and did so with ease, experience, safety, quickness, and care. I very highly recommend Allston Piano Movers. The team was very careful, followed all covid protocols, and successfully moved my piano from a 7th floor apartment to a 4th floor apartment. My treasured item arrived without a scratch, and the movers took the time to center the placement of it to my satisfaction. I would definitely use them again.

I had my Yamaha upright moved by Allston Piano for a in-town move. Booking was simple and they responded quickly to my inquiry. They were flexible in accommodating my schedule, which was important because I had a very narrow window for the move. The three-men crew showed up right on time (6:30 AM on a Friday). They really knew their job - careful and efficient. The whole move took less than an hour, and my piano sat in the new house exactly where I wanted. Very pleased.
