Kevin Hoag founded CommTank in 1994 with a single employee, a truck fitted with a swivel hoist and one simple philosophy: Business thrives when you build strong customer relationships. Twenty years later, this same focus on customer loyalty and satisfaction drives our team of service professionals and oil tank experts operating out of the 60,000-square-foot CommTank headquarters in Wakefield, Massachusetts.

I am a novice at having to handle a new oil tank. I didn't know it but my granby was 40 years old. Once I explained the situation, CommTank sent a salesman Dave, who was more than a salesman, who knew the product, and he and Jen from the office, helped me work through the product and the procedure. A 3 man crew (Francisco, Salvatore, and Manny)where professional, friendly, and hard workers. Who put up with my checking in with what they needed. And they cleaned up everything. A+

Sanny and Sergio just left the house, and I couldn't be more pleased with the work. Two large oil tanks, installed 20 years ago, are gone and it is like they never happened: the place is immaculate and there's not a drop of oil anywhere - the tanks were carrying over 500 gallons of oil. Throughout the work, they were professional and careful, and very respectful. And these guys are strong and seem to love the work. Especially noted when it can be hard to find smart, dedicated people, Comm Tank nailed it.

Company sent unvaxxed, unmasked workers to my house. I called to complain and was put in touch with owners wife (Karen, I'm guessing) who proceeded to tell me that if I'm so concerned about Covid I should have told them and they would have sent out crew with masks. They DON'T CARE about Covid. She then proceeded to push her pro tRUMP ideas on me. Totally unacceptable behavior and policy for a company dealing with the public.

This company just replaced an old oil tank for us. True to the contract you agreed to with no surprises. The company has amazing service from the first call to the technicians who replaced the tank. They are a truly professional organization. The installation was neat and organized. They left my property inside and outside clean from all debris. If you need an oil tank replacement this is the company to call!

CommTank replaced our old steel 330 gallon of unknown age with a brand new Roth 275 (with the 30 year warranty and $2M insurance). The quoting process was simple and included everything, and the people who came by to do the work were punctual, friendly, and accommodating, and they left the place neater than when they arrived. They made sure everything was running just fine before they left.
Give CommTank a call when you'd like to replace your old steel tank, especially if it's of questionable age and condition like ours was. Why take the chance? We like the warranty and insurance on the Roth, not to mention the extra space!

CommTank was recommended by our home inspectors to rule out a possible underground oil tank in a narrow crawl space under a foundation in Sudbury. Leury responded to our call, arrived on time and did a thorough inspection. After, he took the time to explain what he saw, what equipment was expected for an oil tank, and how his observations did/did not fit those criteria. He was patient and professional. Thank you!

I called around and got different quotes and couldn't decide what company to choose, but I made the right choice! Leury was very professional and friendly. He made the process easy and answered all my questions. The two guys who installed it showed up on time, did good work and explained what they were doing when I asked. I didn't have any issues.
I paid exactly what we agreed on that was stated in the proposal which included oil to get the furnace up and running! This was great so that I didn't have to coordinate the time of installation with an oil company as well. Thanks Commtank!

I've hired these guys twice over the years. I had them replace an oil tank in a house that I was moving from in Framingham that was in a very tight spot in my garage. I was in the middle of selling my house and part of the inspection called for a new tank. They made an exception and came out right away, because of the circumstances; and replaced the tank with no mess and extremely fast and efficient.
I was very pleased and so was my buyer. Thank you guys. My next experience with these guys was for a house in Marlborough. The house was built in 1959 and still had the original oil tank. Once again they came out did a great job replacing the oil tank, and its been working fine for 2 years now. I couldn't be happier. If you guys need an oil tank replaced I wouldn't go anywhere else.
My only regret is that I didn't do this review earlier. See the pictures below. I only have one pic of the Framingham oil tank they replaced in my garage, and the rest are of the house in Marlborough. Note the neat job they did of installing the the oil feed line to my burner.

CommTank replaced our old above-ground tank in the garage with a new double-bottom one today. The technicians were on time as promised, finished in 4 hours, left the site clean and tidy, and the heat and hot water restored. The office people were also courteous and good to follow up on my questions. Happy with the experience. Veronica K.

I'm dismayed that my experience with Comm Tank is so far off from that of other reviewers. I had a site visit on 10/13 for an estimate on removing an outdoor oil tank and replacing with a Roth Double Wall." Oscar "was an hour and a half late and could not have seemed more disinterested in being there. My initial instincts were correct as now, two weeks later, I still havent received an estimate. Heres the kicker.
We had a tank leak at a home in our neighborhood and we all decided, as a group, to replace our oil tanks as they are all about the same age. There are 11 of us. We each got estimates and guess which company never even made it to the table. Less than one star review for this company.

My tank was not leaking but was way too old and needed to be replaced. I found CommTank on the internet. Leury came the very same day I called to provide the estimate and he gave it to me on the spot. He was very professional and nice. On the day of service the team of two gentlemen ( I wish I got their names) were right on time and very professional and nice. They did their job well. The Deputy Fire Chief came and gave my a passing inspection. I would recommend this company to everyone!

Ok so.what do you do when you have 225 gallons of oil delivered and you tank rusts out and pops a leak? PANIC! I called my oilman and told him I was filling plastic pans with the leaking oil. He told me he would send s omebody over the next morning. Never called/showed. I called Comm Tank, and within the hour The their sales mgr was at my house. He explained in detail every aspect of the project including cost.
He had a crew of two at my house within a few hours; They drained my tank, cut up the old tank, and installed the new tank. They put the oil back in the new tank and were done in about 3 hours. The Installers Adalio and Nelson were very professional and courteous, plus they did an exceptional job. Great customer service. I Highly recommend them. Oh yeah. I never write reviews This is my first had to pass it on though

6 stars! I had the oil tank removed from my basement today by Santiago and Mario from Comm Tank. Right on time. Pleasant, courteous, professional and obviously well experienced. They had to pump out about 20 gallons remaining in the tank and did it without spilling a drop. (OK, maybe one tiny drop, but really, just the size of a dime!) They had to cut the tank in half to remove it through my uncomfortably small bulkhead which they did quickly and cleanly.
The whole process took about 50 minutes. They asked me to inspect their work before even writing up an invoice and the place was cleaner than before they arrived. I'm about to call their office to let their employer know these two did exceptional work.which more satisfied customers ought to do in my opinion. Exceeded my expectations.highly recommended.

CommTank removed an oil tank from my basement so that my home refinance could move forward. They were responsive to my need to have the tank and lines removed quickly. They arrived promptly, worked quickly, and left my basement cleaner than it was before they came. They patched the holes left from removing the fill and vent lines like pros - I did not expect this level of service. You almost can't tell there used to be a tank in the basement. Outstanding work.
