Shamrock Moving & Storage

I would highly recommend Shamrock to anyone who needs moving services and or storage! My husband and I moved out of San Francisco, and Shamrock moved and packaged our things, stored, and then eventually moved everything into our new East Bay home. Victor, Jose and one other gentlemen who's name I unfortunately didn't catch did both of our moves and they were professional, courteous, efficient and took great care with our things.

We worked with Helen to book our move/storage, and she was always very responsive and helpful. We will absolutely use them again for our next move. Thank you Shamrock for making our moves as easy as can be and painless!

Got recommendations from my HOA for them and decided to give it a try. They impressed me over the phone so even though they were the most expensive out of all, I decided to go with shamrock. And they didn't disappoint. Starting with Jose who came to do the estimate, he took maybe 10 minutes only but his assessment was so thorough and accurate!

He was very helpful in giving me tips what to prioritize in packing and what not. Prior to the day, Kim made sure I knew what I needed to do and patiently answered all my questions. On the move say, Victor, Alberto, Rigo and Jose showed up. They were awesome! My HOA is pretty strict and they are more familiar with all the rules than I am (well, I just moved in)- so that was very helpful especially knowing what to look for during pre- and post-move walk downs.

As I unpack the boxes they packed, I am still amazed by their attention to details especially when they were packing the kitchen stuff, the breakables, etc. Yes, they are not cheap, but it's worth it! Another thing that is hard to find, they all seem to enjoy working for this company for years!

This company was fantastic! They did my whole move within like 3 hours! Much faster than expected! They were also so kind and helpful! Highly recommend!

I've used Shamrock Moving twice in the last three years and every time, these guys impress me more and more with their efficiency and professionalism. Everyone I've interacted with from Shamrock was helpful and responsive. From booking the move via the phone with Lisa, to the ordering and delivery of the moving boxes (very reasonable pricing, btw), to the actual movers, all of these guys deserve A+ for their excellent customer service! Victor, Alberto, and Jose were the ones that helped me with my recent move.

Not only were they professional and punctual, but they were also very careful with our furniture. The guys made sure all of the furniture were well protected. We have a very thin 65 OLED TV that my husband was very concerned about getting damaged during the move, but these guys were very careful with it so we had no issues. The guys also proactively asked me for felt pads once we got to the new house, so they can apply them to the feet of my furniture to protect against the hardwood floors.

Best part, they did this without me asking! They followed my instructions well and had a great attitude all day. (moving is hard work!) I really appreciate how hard these guys worked and how much pride they put into their work. Without a doubt, I will use Shamrock again for my future moves. Lastly, I love that Shamrock will come pick up empty moving boxes after you're done unpacking! It's great to be eco-concise and recycle/reuse cardboard boxes!

This review is a month overdue, but I made sure to do it because everything about Shamrock - from the initial communication through completion of the move - was wonderful. I communicated with Helen early on and I felt comfortable and confident about our decision to go with Shamrock. There are a lot of meh, or even fraudulent moving companies out there, so feeling like I could trust them was important.

And the team showed up RIGHT ON TIME. Also, once the team arrived (Victor, Alberto, Jose), they noted that we had more stuff than they were expecting, but they moved so quickly and so carefully - a very professional job. I hope we don't have to move again anytime soon, but when we do, Shamrock will be my go to 100%.

Spoiler alert: We didn't end up hiring them. Here's why: Quotes took a while.the receptionist schedules a quote option of virtual or in person during COVID19) with their estimators which was a little under a week from when we first called. She gave us the option of FaceTime or Zoom for the virtual. We chose Zoom so we could use a non-apple phone.

The estimator called and didn't know how to initiate a zoom meeting and asked me to walk her through how to do it even though I had no idea how she's set up or her company's account. I ended up sending her a link to google meets from my account to get this estimate going. WHY they would offer to do a virtual estimate using technology they have no idea how to even open much less effectively use is beyond me.

They are SUPER expensive and apparently SUPER slow as molasses when moving based on their estimate. A few business days later, we get an estimate for 4 men for 6 hours each to move a small 3 bedroom where there were only 8 major pieces of furniture. (We're downsizing so most of the furniture was not going with us and certain items were being moved ourselves. We're also packing ourselves so they're not spending any time packing.) There is no way that our move is 24 man hours - validated by the other quotes that estimated HALF the time on the high end.

Their man hours and hourly rate were also the highest of the 6 places we called for quotes. On top of that, there's a prepping fee for them to pad furniture and assemble/disassemble furniture (in addition to their time (not standard) and fuel surcharge (not standard). There are other reputable, quality and more affordable companies. My suggestion. Keep looking.

We have used Shamrock twice in the last year and both times were wonderful experiences! Victor and his team were efficient, careful, and respectful, especially for one of the moves that was extremely emotional for our family. We would not hesitate to use them again or refer them to others!

Shamrock Movers are the BEST! Victor and his crew did a flawless move for us. And Bobby Fallon, the owner, made accommodations to get our items out of storage to help us save another month's rent. Lisa was very knowledgeable on the phone, and always provided information in a very professional manner. I would only use Shamrock for any future moves. Everyone that I had contact with for this move exhibited professionalism and a very caring attitude.

My husband and I had a great experience with Shamrock Moving. We haven't used movers often and weren't sure what to expect. We were particularly concerned about getting our furniture out of the awkward entryway of our two-story walk-up apartment. Victor and his team were outstanding. They arrived exactly on time and were extremely professional and efficient.

They disassembled our furniture quickly and carefully and had no trouble at all getting it out of the apartment. We were amazed at how fast they cleared out our place! On the other end of our move, everything was reassembled well and without any damage. We couldn't have asked for a smoother experience!

We used them to move from SF to Seattle, WA. They loaded the trucks from out storage unit, and delivered everything to our new garage. These guys are great! They were on-time every time. The worked very fast, and very hard. The final cost was BELOW their initial quote! I was very impressed!

I used Shamrock Moving & Storage to move my one bedroom apartment. They did an OUTSTANDING job. The team arrived on time, packed everything efficiently and with care. Francisco, Gabriel & team did amazing work. Everything arrived in perfect condition. Francisco even tightened the screws on the dining room chairs when they arrived at their new home.

This is the type of customer service that is hard to find these days. The office staff was courteous on the phone and via email. They followed-up on every question I had in a timely matter. I have moved before and it has been painful. That was just not the case with Shamrock. I highly recommend them. The estimate was right on the money and there were no surprises.

I will use them again and recommend them to others. Last thing to add-- they were mindful of CDC guidelines and all 3 movers wore masks and did appropriate social distancing. The move was efficient and safe. THANK YOU Shamrock team!

Moving is disruptive, messy, and emotional, so finding a mover who responds quickly, cares about your belongings, knows how best to wrap everything for transport, and keeps everything simple and efficient--all with enthusiasm and cheerfulness--well, you just want to hug them. As a side note, couples don't always agree on what goes where, and conflicting instructions are inevitable. Our Shamrock movers were patient and gracious, even when our mistakes created more work. Well done guys!

Shamrock Moving has been our go-to mover for over 10 years for short and long distance moving. They always do a great job and we have never had any item damaged and never had any other disappointment with their work. Their office staff and primarily Caitriona who I've had many interactions with, is extremely personable and professional. Our last moves had them making several moves to Lake Tahoe. Francisco and Gabriel were always friendly, very hard working, honest, experienced and smart.

Due to the shelter in place and Covid-19, Francisco and Gabriel wore masks and were very cognizant of maintaining social distancing. I'm very happy with this company and will use them again. Many thanks to Francisco and Gabriel for putting up with us and making what could have been a stressful move turn in to a totally painless and pleasant experience.

Our move went quite smoothly and efficiently. Considering how emotional a move can be, the Shamrock crew put my mind at ease that all my worldly possessions would arrive safe and sound. The moving crew led by Victor was warm, friendly and really strong! I was amazed at how quickly they packed everything and carried it down two flights of stairs. The rest of the staff including Bobby Fallon, the general manager and Lisa were knowledgeable and friendly. I recommend Shamrock without hesitation!

We just used shamrock for the second time to move our stuff within San Mateo. Their phone and email responses were always really quick and clear about their policies and pricing and Jose, their estimator was punctual and polite. Moving day they were perfectly on time, and hustled through our move while still being careful in spite of moving in a massive heat wave. We paid a little less than we had estimated and were super happy!

The first decision we had to make was IF we were going to use a mover. Thank goodness we did as this was the best investment we could have made. We did regret not using the additional packing service as what all our friends told us came true. We had way more stuff in our apartment than we thought, packing added stress and long days and in the end we still we're not ready for moving day. Thankfully, Shamrock was able to step in and save us with lending an additional hand in the morning of the move.

This was just the start of our day, the crew arrived on time, we're friendly and accommodating with our two dogs constantly at their feet, very respectful of our personal property and the neighbors in our apartment. Part of the reason we also went with Shamrock was their family history in San Francisco. It's been my experience that family owned businesses treat their customers with a higher level of care and stand by their name.

This certainly was the case with our move. We even ended up putting some of our extra stuff in storage with Shamrock which was another big bonus. All in all, highly recommend.

These guys are top notch. I had them pack and move everything. They came promptly and I felt as if they took care of any fragile items as if they were their own. They also took great care when moving our piano. Victor and his crew did a great job unpacking for us and getting all of our furniture exactly where we wanted it to be placed (including a few reconfigurations at our request since we couldn't make up our mind).

I've used Shamrock 4 times now! I hope to never need them because I just don't want to move again.but if I do, I will use them again. I've used office moving and residential packing, moving, & storage. Friendly, easy quotes. I did one move on a fixed price where someone came to survey everything I was moving and the other moves were done on an estimate.

The estimates were always right so I was charged what they estimated. Crew was always on time or early. Very efficient and careful with things (well as careful as you would expect movers to be). They will deliver boxes ahead of time to you if you're packing on your own. Usually they offer used boxes at a discount if you want those. For storage, if you need to access it, there are lots of different fees you should just understand if for some reason you need access to your vaults.

In order for them to get the parking permit for you, you need to ask them well in advance and they will add charges to your bill. Otherwise you can go down and get your own parking permit. You can chance double parking etc, but it's at your own risk. For slow residential neighborhoods, you could risk it, or try to save a spot with your own car, but in the heavily trafficked mixed use areas with metered parking, you may want to get the parking permit.

Cannot say enough positive things about how smoothly and efficiently our recent move was done with Shamrock. Francisco, William and Brian packed up our entire condo at the end of the week, stored all our belongings safely, and we met them the following week in Southern California at our new house. They unloaded and unpacked everything. Our art, furniture, and all glassware was well taken care of. not one piece broken.

They were courteous, on-time, and communicated with us the entire time about what it was we wanted and needed, and how best to place our furniture. I highly recommend Shamrock to anyone who plans on moving, either close by or far-away.
