A Better Moving & Storage

Called the receptionist and they immediately said "not interested" and hung up as soon as I said I'm calling from Portland, OR. They didn't bother to ask if I was requesting moving services or that their Portland location is moved/closed. I had to call back because it was unclear if they're Portland google listing was truly closed or not. They must've assumed it was a sales call smh

My 94 year old mother needed to move from one senior apartment to another senior apartment on very short notice due to some health issues. The team from A Better Moving Company did a fantastic job handling the entire move. Every step from initial communication, planning, execution, attention to detail, service, value & overall results were terrific!

Friday the 25th of June, I had A Better Moving Co. come and move my furniture. Nowel & Courtney showed up right on time. Truthfully, they were awesome. They took great care of a sentimental piece of furniture. Respectful. They didn't let up at any point. So very impressed. Definitely would recommend. The company has been in Carmichael I think 30 years. Just great service from Jacob in the office, the owner. Can't say enough good things. Thank you guys!

Steve is a great business owner and made sure that the job was completed and done right. It was refreshing to see good customer service in a day and age where it's few and far between.

We were moving out of the house and the movers arrived. I went down the driveway to ask them to back up so we could get out. The driver was pointing and yelling so I walked down and he was extremely rude asking us what our problem was. I explained we were trying to get out. We finally got out and had to walk back up to get something and he was very aggressive yelling and cussing at us getting in our face. VERY unprofessional, rude, and aggressive. Would never hire this company with drivers like that.

My grandmother needed to move and has had poor experiences with moving companies before, but this was a fantastic experience. The people in the office as well as the movers were super friendly. They were very careful with her antique furniture. We would definitely recommend this company and would use them again!

I am writing this while they are still moving items out! My mom just passed and we had to move everything from her house! These guys are amazing! I don't even know how they managed all the oversized furniture! They are sweet, efficient and strong! I would use them again in a heartbeat and highly recommend! I called A Better Moving to remove two rooms of antique furniture from my Mother's home. Arranging the moving date was very easy. Jeff and his helper arrived on time, and quickly removed the furniture. It was all carefully packed, and was delivered in perfect condition! From the first phone call with Steve until the end of the day, the entire moving process went very well. Don and Zach arrived on time, were very kind and respectful to me and my belongings, and worked so efficiently. I have a Baby Grand piano that, unfortunately, I have needed to move several times over the years.always have used A Better Moving! They are great with all my household things! They are very careful and efficient! I'll use them again.

Don with A Better Moving showed up on time with masks and gloves and ready to go to move a tenant out of her Public Storage lockers. Bright, quick and personable, Don was a pleasure. We have a major Construction Remodel here and Don didn't skip a beat handling the extra obstacle --the front door was almost completely blocked and there were extension cords & painters on ladders. I am so upset by this company's unfair and manipulative business practices. Everything started out fine, with Steve being very flexible on my mother's move dates, etc. But then they came to pack her, and didn't use any blankets or protection for her furniture. They also refused to pack a rug in the rafters because "it was too much work." They took her furniture to their storage for a few days.

Before I could remove the items from storage (I was using a new, awesome mover at this point!), I had to sign a waiver of liability. Of course, her furniture was heavily damaged. And they are now disavowing any responsibility. I just don't understand all of the good reviews--I had nothing but difficulty! It's been an awful experience. I would NEVER recommend using this company.

Usually, I try to rough it and move on my own with a few unfortunate friends or family members to assist me. Not this time. I went to A Better Moving and have never had such a good experience. They moved me from essentially a storage unit to my new place. They were friendly, on time, and very efficient. They worked fast and had all my furniture moved, set up, and ready for use in just a couple hours. Such a great experience! I will never move on my own again! Thank you again, A Better Moving!

I have used A Better Moving & Storage several long distance and short moves throughout California since 2009. Their staff is professional, organized, and gets the move handled in a timely manner. They really take the stress out of the move for me because I know I can depend on them to do a great job of caring for all my things. I especially like to have Kyle and Tony on the job for their expertise and organization skills. I highly recommend "A Better Moving & Storage".

It was very easy to schedule an appointment to move an antique piece of furniture. The guys who showed up were on time. They took their time carefully wrapping the piece and were very careful when moving it. It was very heavy, but they did not complain. They moved the piece to another home and just as carefully, they moved it into the home and unwrapped it. I am very happy with their service and the wonderful way they treated this family heirloom. I highly recommend this company!

I have moved 6 times in my life and have never had such an incredible experience. A Better Moving helped us move in San Francisco and it truly was a painless, excellent experience. The movers were on time, polite, and most important, efficient. Having this professionalism made us feel comfortable and proved to be an incredibly easy process. We had only a few miles to move but what a relief to work with such a professional company. We had called other companies who never returned our calls. Their loss. Movers Jeff and Hamid were courteous, confident and knowledgable. They wrapped, boxed and hauled our stuff efficiently. Reminded me how good it was to be young with strong backs. They offloaded same to our total satisfaction.

No hidden costs or surprises. They made moving, which can be trying and stressful, smooth and worry free. Kudos to the them for reflecting so well on the company. These lads are rock stars. I would strongly recommend this company and would not hesitate to use them again.

I couldn't be more pleased with my moving experience that A Better Moving provided. Starting with Danny who coordinated everything for move, his email responses were prompt.and when I needed to make changes/additions to the original plan, he was more than accommodating and made sure everything was seamless. The movers, Jeff and Chris, were the very definition of professionals.

They were on time, quick, courteous, and patient (having my three year old grandson with me could have tried their patience, but they moved around him without missing a step). Pricing was more than fair for everything they did for me.even assembled a heavy metal bed I'd just purchased that required assembly. Chris assembled while Jeff continued to unload, thereby not adding additional time to the overall move.

Their equipment, including the truck, was spotless and well maintained.their ingenuity was amazing in how they utilized materials for all of the move. My enthusiasm stems from the "Move from Hell" I experienced three years ago when the movers showed up in a beat up truck, no moving supplies. I spent well over an additional $100 when I had to run to Lowe's to buy moving boxes, paper and plastic wrap because this company (who was contracted to pack my belongings as well as move them) didn't have even the basic materials for packing and moving.including no dolly. If I should need to move again in the future. God forbid. I will definitely use A Better Moving & Storage.

Our experience with A Better Moving Company was outstanding. We hired them to load the Pods we're using for storage. The men didn't waste any time, were very friendly, helpful and experienced at packing. We highly recommend them.

This place I highly recommend! Competent people, staff, and straight to the point of loading up and unloading! We had used them for eight hours and they did an amazing job! Worth every cent!

My move was incredibly last-minute and time-sensitive due to the sellers of our property deciding to take extra time than was NOT contractually permitted. As a result, I called my original moving company to change the date. Unfortunately, they were unable to accommodate me, and so I called A Better Moving & Storage Company. They promptly returned my inquiry call, move some things around, and scheduled me to move the day I was granted access into my new home.

They were highly professional, punctual, and treated me, my father, my rescue, and all my belongings with care, consideration, and respect. They went ABOVE & BEYOND to ensure I was promptly moved, providing the best deals and time-management I have experienced to date. I HIGHLY recommend their company and their services--trust me--you will NOT be disappointed. I will surely use them again, in the future, if I ever have to move again. THANK YOU!
