In 1992, Martin Kukowski established The Moving Man, Inc. in Anchorage, AK. He began as a private moving contractor, and the business quickly developed into a full-service moving company. Martin continues to be an integral part of the team, and has hand-picked our crew for their years of experience in the moving industry.
Local residential moving is the backbone of The Moving Man's work. Let The Moving Man take care of the stress of moving locally for you! Our local moves can be a simple as moving furniture within a house to a full service pack-and-move. We can provide new or gently used material for you to pack your box-able goods, or we can pack them for you.
My husband and I did a self-pack move from Alaska to Arkansas using The Moving Man in July, and I am absolutely thrilled with the price, the level of service, and the efficiency. We loaded our belongings into a freight container in The Moving Man freight yard, and after the bulkhead was secured, my car was also loaded and the container was then sealed.

We bought a 105 year old petite grand piano and The Moving Man was great! They were the lowest bid we received (and they were so efficient, they even came in 15 minutes under bid!) but still provided excellent quality. I was very impressed with their professionalism. They took their time, were extremely careful with disassembly and reassembly, and were so polite. The took great care with the piano. I highly recommend this company and would use them again for all my future moving needs.

We hired The Moving Man to move out of our office basement and into a storage unit. They were awesome to work with and able to accommodate our time sensitive move. Martin, the company president, came out and did a complimentary quote, which made budgeting for the move effortless. And their rates were really reasonable, especially compared to Superman Movers and other larger companies.
The crew that did the move were great - they were professional and respectful, worked hard, and also managed to have a good sense of humor throughout the process. I was also very impressed with how carefully the stacked everything in the storage unit with room to spare. I would absolutely use them again and recommend them to others for their small or large move.

This review is during The Great Covid-19 Real Estate Boom (I made that up but you probably know). It's been a crazy 2021 and everyone is selling/buying and scheduling movers is the LAST thing you want to have to worry about. Luckily, I called The Moving Man several weeks out to schedule my moving date, which luckily didn't change. At my business, we've used The Moving Man before and they were great so I figured we'd use them for our personal move.
The office was great on being proactive and the moving crew was very friendly, fast, and efficient. They were cautious in getting things in and out but did it with haste. All said and done, we were out of the old house and into the new in 2 hours. It was an in Anchorage move and we had most of furniture disassembled and close to the front door. For everything that wasn't, they took care of it too.
Even my 6 year old son was comfortable around them and they kept him out of trouble and out of the way if he wandered close to them while they we working (hard to keep track of him sometimes). Overall, great family friendly business that I will 1000% use again the next time I move or need something moved!

These guys were great! I am remodeling and had a vanity delivered by Home Depot that was left in my driveway packaged like it came right off the ship. My bathroom project is starting in a week, and I could not leave my brand-new vanity out in the weather for that period of time. I called The Moving Man the same day my vanity was delivered, and they were out to my home within two hours to help me haul it into my house. Martin was awesome! Fast, professional and reasonably priced. They saved the day!

These guys are amazing! I am blown away by their going above and beyond to help us with a massive office move. The crew was fast professional and careful with all our items, including a lot of sensitive medical equipment. We have large, heavy items, and they creatively took care of many challenges in our old space along the way. They came out in advance to survey the job and gave great feedback to help us prepare for the move.
They accurately estimated the amount of time needed for the move and were punctual and efficient. I can highly recommend this company to great take care of you and your needs.

They were absolutely amazing, they did not disappoint. This was my first time using movers, my wife found them and I was a bit nervous about it but they made everything easy and as stress free as possible. So we moved out of state, they helped pack and load everything, plus our two vehicles, they even helped by setting up movers in our new state to help unload everything.
And when we had to change the delivery address a couple times they were right on it and helped with that. I can't say how much we appreciated everything they did and how helpful and friendly all of them were. We definitely recommend to friends, family and anyone who needs reliable, friendly movers, they are the people. Thanks again Moving Man for your help :-

If I could give this moving company a "0" star I would. This company has the worst service ever. Very unprofessional! After damaging my couch, the worker got the nerve to say "its cheap and pleather" Then later denied about damaging the couch and said it was already there; then claiming that he pointed it out to me before shoving it out the door. Which never happened!
I DO NOT recommend this company to anyone! you're better off moving it yourself. The OWNER believe that the Customer is ALWAYS WRONG and is not willing to take responsibility. After all the proofs and witnesses, it was not enough. How does these people sleep at night after damaging peoples' property and constantly lying about it.
