I have been a local business owner in Kalihi for 20 years (Dent Doctors Hawaii) and I cannot say enough good things about this place and especially the people! I had the best possible experience using Ohana self storage and an employee by the name of Peter was instrumental in the process by being as helpful and courteous and bringing the aloha spirit to the job of self storage.
I don't think that anybody looks forward to moving and storage but having the kind of service I received all throughout the 2 years I used Ohana self storage made the entire experience quite pleasant and I would not hesitate to use their services again and again if needed. It is an older building and maybe not the prettiest but the SERVICES and PRICES make it "the place to go for your storage needs." Ohana puts the Aloha in self storage. Many mahalos to Peter and the staff!

Excellent service! Not gonna lie, there are times when I am late, forgetful, financially challenged, etc. Who hasn't been? The staff has ALWAYS been professional towards me and my circumstances. I have been renting here for years. Good Prices, and Excellent Customer service from Peter and female employee all the time. This place is not new, and no air conditioning but the price is right. It's a storage not a hotel room. Easy access to freeway. There is homeless people that live around the area, but this is a growing issue for people in Honolulu, HI period.
Do not judge them, there is always a reason for the season. If you have any concerns or complaints, address it. They have excellent Management, and will not ignore your concern, and responds to it in a timely manner. They recently had a security/Custodian guy there to assist with unauthorized people and maintenance. i will continue to rent from Ohana self storage because they make you feel like Ohana:

I chose Ohana Self Storage for convenient location, and reasonable price. I get more than my money's worth! Jared set me up initially, friendly, helpful, went above and beyond to make the dreadful moving situation actually pleasant. When I go in to pay my bill every month, I've been treated by all of the staff, well, like Ohana! Thank you all!

Website says customers have access until 7:00pm. But the guy is closing the gate as I'm sitting here at 6:00pm. He tells me the website is wrong. Why would I store my crap in a place that has the same access hours as the hours in at work. Doesn't make sense. Prices don't matter when you can't get to your stuff.
