I knew I needed a storage unit when I decided to rent my apartment put, plus my boyfriend does not like clutter, so all the items I wanted to keep that was in my old apartment needed a new home. Of course, I turned to Yelp to find the best storage unit available.and Hawaii Self Storage was the winner for the following reasons: 1. Their facility looked safe and secure - the gates to the parking lot are locked after hours.

You have to enter a pin number to get to the floor with your storage unit and if you didn't enter the pin, an alarm will sound when your unit is opened. 2. The facilities are clean 3. The facilities are air conditioned, so you know that the environment (like humidity) shouldn't have as big of an impact of your items I liked that all the information, even units available and pricing, was available online. However, I still wanted to check the place out in person and see how big of a unit I needed.

The personnel were super friendly and helpful as I asked all my questions and setting up my account. While I think the price of the unit is a bit more than others, I find that the price is worth it for the safety and cleanliness of the unit.

Stay away from this company they treated me like a dog when I attempted to conduct business with them they are racists and scan artists! Stay far away from this business!

First day and already loving it! The staff is very helpful! It is very clean and secure! Has everything you'd need out of a self storage! The location is also very convenient for us!

This is the second time I found myself in need of storage. So naturally I went back to the Kaimuki branch. That in itself speaks volumes. The staff from day time crew to night security crew are all what I feel are the best in the business. Btw I used to work for the competition on the first time I stored, and chose Hawaii Self Storage to keep my things at because of the way they operate their company.

Security cameras everywhere night security staff present on property actively securing the property. Top notch. To the office crew. They care about everyone making sure your needs are met. Above and beyond. Hawaii Self Storage is the Best in the Business especially the Kaimuki location. This is being said by someone who worked for the other guys and stored at Hawaii Self Storage Kaimuki.

Not one time but twice. They are the Best in the Storage Business. Staff day and night, facilities, price, office crew, Security Crew. All the Best. Highly qualified and Recommend.

I rarely write these Yelp reviews but because I am impressed with Hawaii Self-Storage (Kaimuki) I decided to take some time giving them 5-stars. Great location and open 24/7. Friendly staff. Great/Reasonable prices. Easy to move in because they have dollies. Air conditioning inside. Clean. Security cameras 24/7 along with security guard at night. I was not looking forward to move into a storage unit but Hawaii Self Storage has made it as easy and convenient as possible. Would highly recommend to others looking for a storage unit.

After much research and panicking to find a place to store my car, I would have to say Hawai'i Self Storage came through. I made a reservation and they held it for me until I was ready. They made accommodations to fit my needs and showed that they truly cared about their costumers as well as the services they provided. When I finally brought my car in, Benjy instantly remembered talking to me on the phone and helped through the entire thing. At the end of the day, I feel absolutely comfortable with leaving my belongings in their hands and not constantly have to worry. Thank you Benjy!

So far so great! Very spacious unit for the price. I love that the facilities feel new, and is very clean. The staff seem to care about the level of service they provide each client. This is why I rate them tops. I appreciate this, I matter to them and they are fair with me and fellow customers. They maintain 24 hour service, I am able to access my unit, any time.

I am welcome with a smile and greeting every time I have visited there, so far. Recently, there was a problem with my dog being in the car, I think the situation was handled by staff appropriately, and graciously. I hope my dog may eventually be known to all staff and customers as the awesome pooch that he is. lol. I like the local touch and welcoming smiles the best. Mahalo nui loa, HSS staff! P.S. Since it's been a great experience we had an office and a lousy month to month common area cost with a five-year lease this is month to month the staff is friendly and the place is great! We're able to do an office here legally and it's month to month and conference rooms are free

Teri made me feel so comfortable with my decision to store our items here. They have 24hr access and VERY secure! Teri was pleasant and even walked us to a unit that definitely seals the deal after seeing it. Hawaii self storage will really take a lot of stress off our backs. Being a small business owner we need the space to have room to grow and HSS does just that. Reasonable prices, and friendly associates. I definitely recommend!

Helpful friendly staff. Came in to look at a unit, we took a stroll to our potential unit, unfortunately a customer was moving in/out, blocked the entire area, so we detoured to another floor. Climate controlled and automatic lighting made for a good visit. The unit I came for was a bit small, but they helped me search for another unit that would suit my needs better. Thanks for the friendly visit with no pressure.

Aloha! One thing I especially like about Hawaii self storage is their exceptional staff at greeting an acknowledging every person on premises an entering office with such a warm an positive greeting. I know everyone can agree that after packing an moving things can be strenuous yet stressful at times, then to find a storage facility that can be so inviting considering how you may feel at the moment from working out because of life, not because I wanted to, the struggle is real.

I really do appreciate the services this particular facility does considering a hard days work and I've been to several different facilities not being as inviting. Convenient place with 24 hour access! Friendly staff! Only reason why I gave 3 stars is the price. All of us here in Hawaii life in tight places n need extra storage. Wish storage places would make it affordable

24/7 access easy in and out, close but not too close to town. 24/7 security and security guard and surveillance. I've been renting a unit and mailbox for last 4 months and it's been great working with them all! Benjy, Teri, Angel and Tanner have all excellent customer service and provide that next level VIP support.

This has to be the cleanest storage facility! Not only are the units in central air conditioning for the preservation of everything you need stored, it is very well lit. The office is compiled of a staff that is TOP of the line! No matter who you interact with, everyone is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful beyond measure! Great team! In addition to the office. their maintenance, movers and security also make you feel safe and welcomed! Very impressed!

You heard it before "shop local, buy local". Well I had rented storage space at a mainland company and my experience there was not good. The staff is very impersonal and they had several rent increases even though I was a long time customer. Since a lot of new storage facilities came up, I visited several and was most impressed with Benji. She has the Aloha spirit and having been in retail, I know what service is all about and she is professional.

Unfortunately my new home has more space and I had to move my things out of storage but the staff still gave me the best service. I definitely recommend their location for your storage needs. The facility is nice and cool and very accommodating. Aloha to all there in Kaimuki and best wishes.

If you're looking for a storage facility that's conveniently located in town, secure and has a staff with great customer service, visit Hawai'i Self Storage in Kapahulu. The staff was able to answer all my questions and even took me around the facility to see the different size units that they have available. I was also very happy to see how clean and secure the building was. They made me feel very comfortable and even provided a discount, through Hawai'i Moving Services, to help move my gear from my home into my unit.

Two words, Benjy & Mike. Nuff said. There are no two better people who epitomize service and professionalism. It makes all the difference, especially when Hurricane Lane puts a damper on our scheduled move. They came, they packed, they stored. 2 hours and they were done. How's that for efficient? Flat rental rates are affordable and don't change daily (like Public Storage) so you're never in the dark. Kudos to y'all!

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE! This is the most unorganized and dishonest storage and business I have ever dealt with. I have managed restaurants and stores for over twenty years. Each time I call about the letters of incorrect charges each person tells me different things. They have lied including a month they sent to me with charges and late payments. They told me they would remove it.

They have. It. Ow they are threatening to auction my things and sent me an email with a New General Manager who also TODAY told me incorrect information and when I corrected him he told me to call my lawyer cause they aren't always correct. How PITIFUL. DISGUSTING! Horrible horrible "service". DO NOT RENT FROM THESE LIARS AND DISHONEST MONEY HUNGRY UNTRAINED BUSINESS. MY LAWYER IS NOW PREPARING A LAWSUIT.

I've been to a lot of storage units because I've worked for businesses who have so many things they need an extra space to hold their stuff. Oddly enough, both of them left the same storage unit to go to another - now that's saying something. Let me start by saying that the staff is incredibly nice. They remember your name and I love that!

The access to the storage units are extremely easy, all you need is a code and it will let you up. They're also safe! Cameras are everywhere and if you don't put in your code before entering your unit an alarm will go off. To help with loading and unloading there are carts you can use if you trade the staff your ID. There's a bathroom. Ample Parking and boxes/packaging supplies for purchase. Entering the lot is pretty tricky but I love this storage spot. Especially for all the events we through in town.

I switched to Hawaii Self Storage in Kaimuki from Public Storage on Kapiolani a few months ago and so far, I'm totally a fan! Awesome location, 24-hour access, air conditioning, ample parking and cameras around every corner make the experience overall very pleasant. There's even an option to access electricity and cable in my unit, since so many folks run their businesses out of their units here. Sounds odd, but when you think of the astronomical cost of commercial space nowadays, it actually makes perfect financial sense when you think about it.

At my old unit, I was often paranoid about the unfortunate homeless folks who would sometimes live in their units and also about the personal safety of myself and my staff who access our storage. But at Hawaii Self Storage there are cameras everywhere and an alarm that will go off if you haven't activated your unit with a key code in the elevator, so I don't worry at all.

I feel like big brother is always watching and that's a good thing. My favorite part of Hawaii Self Storage is their staff who are always so friendly and helpful anytime I stop in to ask a question or pick-up a package.

Fantastic staff! They always call me right away when my packages come in. The place is clean, well maintained and safe. I have rented here for over 6 years and the staff here always make me feel welcome. Keep on being friendly and fantastic. Mahalo!

Every time I come in, the staff here are very friendly and welcoming. Very quick and easy to get whatever I need done. I highly recommend coming here, if you like getting treated like family/an old friend, this would be your place. And they have 24 hour access, so convenient!

I've been using your facility off n on for the past five years and haven't run into any problems like these other people.it sounds to me like they neglected to pay their bill on time and were charged a fee, sounds like a personal problem. I give them a 2 thumbs up. I like the fact I can get to my belongings at any time. Its been really a help.
