I write this review not in anger but out of extreme disappointment. I had been a client of Econo Move several times since 2000. They used to be excellent. I had no hesitation to call on them again when I needed household goods moved, stored, and then delivered. It was out of town so we did all business by phone, text, email, and credit card. All seemed well.until delivery.
They simply lost a queen size oak futon frame, its upholstered futon mattress, a front porch rocker, and a standing mirror was broken. Edna acknowledged, the futon, frame, and mirror. She did not recall the rocking chair. On 2/25/22 by phone she (and her partner/boss/sister?) agreed to send me a check for $350, if I sent them a letter stating that I accepted that offer.
I had successful dealings with the several times in the past, so I had no hesitation about promptly sending the letter. I am still waiting for the money. Another reviewer told of their blocking all communications. I have found this to be so. I physically went to the business address given on the website. I was told that for a time they rented a small office and some storage units at that address, but that was at least a year ago.
Apparently THEY HAVE NO PHYSICAL BUSINESS LOCATION. MY PHONE CALLS, TEXTS, & EMAILS HAVE BEEN BLOCKED OR IGNORED. I have been told that a couple of years ago the business changed hands. Note that those 4* reviews are at least 2 years old. BE AWARE. BE WARNED. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

I would give zero stars if I could. Broke terms of our contract on move timing, caused property damage at both places, not willing to honor insurance claims for which we paid extra (and they are self insured so take your money, but do not pay claims). Lawsuit pending. They claim prior damage, but employees acknowledged much of the damage when it happened.
Owner unresponsive, and then blocks all forms of communication. NEVER use this company. This was a simple 5 mile move, completely botched. And we are military and have moved 10 times in the past twelve years. And, I had to provide much of the lifting on day 4 of a 2 day move because half of their crew did not show up, I had to tun over possession to the new owners and they left me with two ladies, one of which specifically asked me to help. The other lady that broke items. I have pictures that document this too. They caused several thousands of dollars in furniture damage. And, I am still missing items.

Edwin and James came out and moved me from Uvalde to about 30 mins north of there. They were extremely polite, professional, and careful with my belongings. I coordinated with Edna with the quote, time, and date. She was prompt and very nice to work with. I can't say enough good things about this company and if I ever have the need to hire movers again, I will be calling them.

Econo Move is the BEST moving company in the San Antonio area. They are highly reliable, professional and ethical. My belongings were intact after the move. I have used them a couple of times. They also provided storage when moving from Houston back to San Antonio as I waited for my house closing. While other companies take advantage of people during the vulnerable moving process (i.e. overcharging by the hour, claiming for more fees, etc.), Econo Move has integrity and excellence in its business transactions. I recommend Econo Move 100%.

The movers from Econo Move San Antonio were amazing. These guys made it happen from start to finish! Being in the military, this has been the sixth time that I have worked with Econo Move! They are very reliable, quick and thorough-especially when it comes to out of state moves. The team was on time, respectful, and efficient. We could not have asked for a better moving experience!

They are respectful, fast and efficient. We made a last-minute request for a moving quote to be move on the same day. They were able to accommodate us, gave us a competitive pricing and showed up on time. They are the kind of guys that will come and get the move done on time, and they were so considerate! I had to move to a new apartment in San Antonio. The team Econo sent was professional, friendly and efficient. They did a great job, even though it rained during the move process and other people in my old complex were rude where they parked, affecting the loading process. The Econo team worked around this weirdness and never skipped a beat. They were careful and didn't break a thing.and were so patient about placing furniture as directed by us once we arrived.
I recommend Econo, not just for price, or efficiency, but for the quality of movers they hire, who I found met all my expectations.and I have tough standards. Sincerely Rick Tobin
