I had a good experience, timing was perfect as I had not much time to go through the whole process of quoting, contracting, packing, and having my goods delivered inaccurate time and G M Van Lines was able to do it and fulfill the committed delivery date. The quotation was competitive and flexible to adjust to my needs, and all questions or agreements were honored by the crew from sales to delivery departments.

How does 5 hours ONE-WAY from South Florida to Central Florida sound to you? What about extra charges in excess of $50 EACH to tape cardboard to TV screen/mirror because coverings for fragile items are not included? Better yet, a menacing attitude to go along with all this? This was my experience with this company. Do yourselves a favor - contact companies that offer FLAT rates. Hopefully, you ll encounter workers with integrity and decency.

- Movers arrived 1.5 days late - Under estimated our house hold goods, many items wouldn't fit in the truck. That caused us getting a storage unit 5 hrs away from our destination. - We had to disassemble many items to help speed up time. - The company broke countless items(10+) - Upon delivery, movers just dropped and left despite the assistance and assembly support we paid for. - Missing items. Overall, this was the WORST move I've done and I spent a career in the Army dealing with their movers. But I wish for them in this case. I didn't even want to file an insurance claim, I just wanted that experience over.

My movers were very efficient, great, and professional. Customer service is interesting and helpful. The salesperson arrived on time, and the fees are reasonable. The moving crew was excellent, and the skipper ensured that everything went as planned. Everything was handled with care. Thank you, team.

I'm always concerned about hiring movers when it comes to moving, but these men did an excellent job. The movers from the moving business were excellent. They were kind, professional, and efficient. It was a successful move. It's something I'll be promoting to my friends and family.

Chose G M Van Lines to move us, so glad we did! Excellent service from moving team from the first phone call to the last minute, made two old-timers who haven't moved for many years feel at ease with the upheaval of moving home. Buyer beware. They do a pretty good sales job claiming years of experience and so on. That's where it ends. We had a horrible experience. This is a small-time low budget mover. They don't hit their dates, in fact not even close. They used dirty rented freight trucks and delivered our furniture with considerable damage, and this is where it really goes downhill.

Their insurance is absolutely worthless. When we tried get full reimbursement, they said we should have gotten third party insurance. In the end they gave us a small settlement that wasn't even close to the value of what they ruined. Steer clear! Go with a topflight mover. You won't pay more in the end, and they won't drive you crazy.

Honestly, I used a different moving company and they outsourced to GM Van Lines. My things were wrapped nicely, minus my bike which had rust on the handle bar which was never there before and a few squished boxes (hopefully there is nothing broken in those but it's in storage for now so I haven't unpacked boxes yet). The guys who moved me were all very nice and efficient.

But they arrived a day early and it was beyond inconvenient and stressful. They also charged me extra for things that weren't accurate so I'm working with Claims on that now. They tried to charge me for extra storage even though I had asked them to deliver it so they didn't get away with that one. That whole process was simply miserable. Delivery went smoothly though. I had Tito, he was great. I'd highly recommend requesting him if you go with the company. He was super communicative, efficient, and helpful.

Tito was very communicative about my delivery that came from Miami to Chicago. They arrived on time, and delivered/assembled my dining room table with professionalism and care. If you need furniture hauled for long distances by a company that takes care of everything door to door, GM Van Lines is the company for you!

DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS! First, they will low ball the estimate and add numerous charges to the bill. My final bill was 50% higher than the estimate! Second, they will not tell you the truth about how your items will be shipped. In my case, they subcontracted the delivery to another hauler after telling me twice my items would not be transferred to another truck once put on the truck. Third, they will not cover items damaged during shipment.

Three of my items were destroyed during the move and they have not responded to my requests to make an insurance claim. They will not take responsibility for their carelessness. This is a hack outfit and buyer beware.
