American Self Storage

My father has been a renter of this property for over 9 years now. Although my father is no longer able to come to the unit as often as he once was; I tend to take the errands of getting supplies from the unit on his behalf. I've personally had storage at other facilities and this facility takes the cake as the best in the area. Between the free trailer option for move in, the pleasant staff who has gone beyond their job description to assist my father and myself when we needed another unit closer to the first as we sorted through our materials this last month renting.

I've never seen a clearer property inside / out. Maintenance has been prompt to provide service if a bulb is out in our unit or just overall being pleasant gentlemens in passing. Although we recently closed our unit due to us downsizing our business. I strongly recommend this facility for all storage needs. If anyone of staff sees this myself and my father truly appreciate all your help over the years.

This location used to be one of the best around until recently. Now the facility has become extremely unsanitary. There is low visibility, I guess due to not changing light bulbs. Hope they do something about that.

The conditions of this place used to be really good but recently everything is being neglected. Elevators are dirty, bathroom disgusted, staff not very friendly and the front gate did not open one day last week. Call the emergency number and someone said they were going to be there in 15 minutes but it took them one hour and a half to get there, not acceptable.

P.s. another year later, and I am still so grateful to American storage! Fabulous storage facility, and Preston is such a helpful employee! Fantastic location and super attentive front desk staff. Victor is amazing and Jamie is awesome! Marco is the most helpful, kind and professional facilities manager ever. It's a no brainer compared to the other storage facilities in the vicinity. Safe, clean, good lighting and shelving options and competitive price. Very well run!

I needed to move out ASAP and I was so stressed about finding a storage facility but this place made everything so easy! I walked in and was immediately helped the staff is extremely friendly it didn't feel like it was shoving a service, it only took 10 min to find a storage and get all the stuff done. The place is super clean and affordable, I felt welcomed and I definitely would recommend this place to others. 5 stars for the staff 5 stars for cleanliness and of course I appreciate the bonus of coffee on these cold days.

My family and I were renovating our home and needed a storage facility we felt comfortable and secure in and we feel so lucky to have found this place. The staff is just incredible just the nicest group of people they answered all our questions and never made us feel like we were annoying them. I don't do reviews but after seeing the last one I thought it was so untrue and ugly for anyone to lie.

The facility is so clean, they offer free coffee and popcorn, while in the office a customer walked in and said they had left keys in the building and were locked out and they quickly had maintenance let them in. Overall I had the best experience with them. I highly recommend you at least step into the office before you go off any review. I'm sure if you're looking for storage in Kensington or surrounding areas you'll agree that there's no better choice then this place!

Thank you for making my family and I feel so comfortable trusting your establishment with our belongings. Everyone in the office to maintenance have made this stressful time just easier.

I have been at this facility for many years, and I am very pleased. Especially with the cleaning crew, they have kept the buildings so clean all the time all year round. They are excellent people persons and are very nice people. All of them, some even more cleaner and responsible for others. I am so thankful for their service to the public. The office staff is great and I give the 5+ stars on Victor, the manager, an excellent young man.

Like a manager we used to have a while back her name Ms. Cathy. Also Dion and Marcos and John, good people. They have treated me with respect, I thank you for all of them. The cleaning crew, Rolando, excellent young man and Malice.

I dont leave reviews often but the Manager at this location is a great dude and very personable. He showed me around the property and even recommended the use of their free trailer service. It was very helpful to have the trailer delivered so me and my friends could load it. Then the driver came and picked it back up. I save at least $100 on a a moving truck rental! Thanks!

Very classy storage facility. Their elevators and facility is always so clean. The staff def. knows their stuff and were able to help me choose the right size for my needs. They also delivered a trailer to my home for me to load and then drove it back to my new unit for FREE! I will recommend to my friends.

This is an extremely well run and clean storage facility. The staff is very friendly and on site to attend immediately to any need--a burnt out light bulb and the like. it is also well monitored. However, the reason I am giving it 4 stars and not 5, is personal. I have a big storage unit, filled with stuff from my mother's apartment in New York. I started going every day to clear it out.

I took my Bernese Mountain Dog with me. He was grown, very large, extremely well behaved, quite calm and loving. Everything went well, until a woman. with a unit nearby, reported my dog. Dogs are not allowed. I understand that from the company's point of view, but still, I stopped going during the week. I must accept the no dog policy, and yet, as well monitored as any facility might be, I am not comfortable alone, on a completely deserted floor during the week.

My dog has since passed away. I am still clearing out the unit of things I will never use. I'd like to fill it back up with items My son, daughter-in-law and grandson might want one day. But the process has and will take much longer without a paw beside me.
