Filled out a whole questionnaire online for a quote, 4 days later with no reply I've found a better company that responds. Why have the quote questionnaire if your not gonna even call back? But you responded to the review in a hour riiight. I would change the review if I got a response from the quote, instead of a response on the review. 4 days/1 hour. I see reviews are your priority

Akeem and his team moved us for a 2nd time since our arrival in Vermont. Akeem was the reason we went back to Booska's once we were ready for our final move, and he did not disappoint. He and the team were professional, efficient, positive and focused. They take great care of customer belongings, and are simply a pleasure to work with. We wish we had the names of his two other team members that moved with us on Feb 15th because they were both fantastic too. Thank you for making our move smooth and low stress!

I hope you make a better decision hiring a moving company than I did. I hired Booska to help finish the last leg of my cross country move. Initially, I was impressed by their friendliness and helpfulness in planning my move. However, that all ended with the actual completion of the job. As we found out, Booska doesn't background check their movers - one of the men who was assigned to our move (we later learned from the cops) was a known entity to law enforcement with a record.
While excusing himself to the "bathroom" he took the opportunity to hide in our closet and rummage through the heirloom jewelry we had moved ourselves. We found our jewelry boxes ripped of their contents. We soon discovered the theft and he later confessed to the crime - we have documentation from the PD to support this. I wish I could say that Booska handled the situation with the same care they did in trying to earn our business.
When I called Booska I spoke to Adam Booska to inform him of the robbery. Instead of handling things professionally, he immediately blamed us, telling me we had obviously misplaced the items in the move. They maintained they had nothing to do with the theft and I have since received no apology or offer of recompense from Booska for what was a very difficult time for our family. Had they done a background check they may have been able to save our family the trauma of this event, had they handled the situation with a modicum of empathy they would have held some of our goodwill. However, their inability to do either and conduct themselves in a professional or empathetic manner shows how little they truly value their customers and ultimately reflects abysmally on the company as a whole. I hope this review helps if you are considering hiring Booska for your move, and that you make a better decision than I did.

I had new flooring installed in my home and needed to have my furniture moved (within my home) and Booska's did an excellent job. They found creative spaces to move my furnishings to spaces that were not part of the new flooring "plan" and did everything in a timely manner. The two members of the crew were respectful, kind, hardworking and dedicated.
This was the second time I have used Booska's, the first was for a move between two homes and I would not hesitate to recommend them for their professionalism and quality work!

Not only did Booska underestimate the cost of our move by $1100--approximately 50%--but they also charged us for an additional month of storage after we moved out of the storage unit. When we called to rectify this extra month, they accused us of not paying all our bills forcing us to go back through 10 years of our financial records--and over $36,000 worth of payments!
We were loyal customers for over 10 years and they are now requesting our bank statements for all these years for 1 month refund. Clearly this company has serious bookkeeping issues and are unable to make accurate estimates for the cost of moving.

These are the absolute best movers! So Worth the money! We let people stay in our apt and they DESTROYED it. I was so embarrassed and sick with anxiety over letting anybody in it. Our last time hiring movers was not a great experience. Booska's was amazing! They were so nice! They never made Me feel ashamed and Went above and beyond all on their own! I am so thankful for the guys that showed up. They were so professional and helpful. I can't praise them enough. All the money.is more than worth hiring booskas!

The first move with them was very fine no problems. The second move in winter it was not so good. My driveway was pretty level except for a lip at the road and their truck had inadequate tires for winter in Vermont. They got stuck. Then they started to pressure me which made it extremely uncomfortable. Moving is stressful. I didn't need that additional stress.
The truck should've had chains or better tires. I saw a propane truck go up the driveway across the road much steeper than mine with no problem While waiting for the tow truck.

I had to move from Burlington to florida. Booska was fantastic! Jamie took care of paperwork, loading and general question answerer. And I had a lot of questions. I was so happy with the packing (they even wrapped my sofa cushions!). Jamie was there to make sure it all went smoothly. He's the best. I received all of my furniture and boxes in excellent shape. I'm so happy I found Booska and highly recommend the company

Received several recommendations for these movers. They arrived about 20 minutes after I was told they would. It was another HOUR before they touched the first piece of furniture. One of the movers told me he had the right to leave the job because I had cats. The other was rude and insulting the whole time. They were slow, and disappeared for an hour and performed no work after working for an hour.
Two bicycles were damaged, and I have called Booska, but received no return call from them, specifically Dave Booska. I was told he was the only person I could talk to. I was never given my receipt for services, and then was intimidated into tipping the movers, which I did just to have them leave. Did nothing but whine and complain the whole time they were there.
Actual work performed was half of what was paid for, although two hours was for travel time, which I agreed to when they were booked. I will never use them again, and will not recommend.

Booska has been incredibly professional and easy to work with during what is usually a pretty stressful situation- moving! They have answered all calls and have been very responsive to all questions and all of our needs. Mark, Scott and Tyler came to pack the truck. It was amazing to see how careful and competent they were. I believe Mark could win a Worldwide Tetris Competition! They were friendly, efficient and wonderful to work with! I highly recommend this company!

We hired Booska to move some of our belongings from VT to VA. Had a delay between pick- up and delivery due to conflicting closing dates. They were very accommodating.stored our furniture then delivered on specific date. Everything arrived in excellent condition.the delivery crew was great! Very friendly and professional. Handled our things with care.nothing broken or damaged! Kudos to that crew! Highly recommend Booska.would definitely use them again

All in all I thought they did a solid job. The crew was friendly and worked hard. Communication from the administration was weak. I booked them several weeks in advance and had to email them several times to get times, confirmations--really any information. They may do this everyday but I sure don't so it would have been nice to know what to expect in advance.
I wasn't really even sure they were definitely coming until I got a confirmation email at 5:00 the day before my move. They came in a little over estimate but by only a few hundred dollars ($1300 estimate, $1550 bill). Considering what they did, I did not care. However, I was not expecting to have to pay on the spot because no one told me the process.
I imagine it could have been in the documentation I received at 5:00 the night before but by then I was scrambling to pack and couldn't even barley take time to pee. In sum, good product but the communication leading up to it was poor.

I have used this company several times in the past, so I was unprepared for how lousy their service would be on my most recent move. After they told me they would come for the pickup on the "19th or 20th" of the month (they refused to give me an exact date or time, and did not return my phone call when I called for an explanation), they showed up on the 17th.
As in two days early. I guess that was just a more convenient time for them, never mind that I had to hire someone to run to my place and open it up, since I was out of town on that day. Then they told me they would deliver everything at the destination on the 25th. I was pleased to finally have a specific date. It is now the 26th, and I have not seen or heard from them.
No call, no response to my email. I stayed home all day yesterday waiting for them. They have my stuff. This is easily the worst service I have ever received from a moving company, and I get the distinct impression that they really could not care less about that. I have no idea why things have changed so dramatically with them--they were very good in the past. (Rabbit Redux, if you've read my other reviews--there must be a significant burnout factor in this line of work).

I wish I could give Booska more stars. My wife and I recently moved from Burlington Vermont to Phoenix Arizona. The experience was great. From Greg and Amy packing us up to Greg's delivery in Phoenix the experience was outstanding. Everything was on time and even came in slightly below the original estimate. This is the 4th time we have used Booska and they have never failed to deliver top quality service. They even moved our old Porsche in the same enclosed trailer.

We did a local move. They couldn't have been nicer and efficient, and careful. They went out of their way to accommodate to our schedule, and made several suggestions to decrease the cost (ask about the used wardrobe boxes!). We've made many moves over the years, and this was the most painless one ever. J

I have used Booska before and was very pleased. So when I moved recently, I went straight to Booska. As I did not yet have a home to move into, my belongings went into storage at Booska for four months. When they were delivered to me, one item, a chest of drawers, was missing. I was informed there was not enough room for that one item in the storage crate Booska loaded my other belongings into so it was kept separate and eventually lost. Booska apologized and sent me a claim form.
I submitted the claim and a purchase receipt and requested full value ($400) for the item. When I received the claim check it was for only $72. To be fair, Booska sent me a copy of my signed agreement with them where they had hi-lited their limit of liability at 0.60 cents a pounds. I called General Manager Adam Booska and let him know how disappointed I was, both in the amount of the check and in the absence of a written explanation or apology. It's once thing if something gets damaged during a move. It's something else when the moving company loses your belongings as a result of their own negligence. I will not do business with Booska again!

I've hired a couple of movers from this company to pack a moving truck for me. I provided all the materials they needed to secure all the boxes and the furniture. I specifically asked them to secure everything. They did such a poor job at packing the truck, stacking the boxes properly, and securing the heaving furniture. When I got the moving truck, half of my furniture were damaged. My big screen TV was broken. I called the owner regarding the issue and he said he's not responsible for any of the damages done to the furniture and the broken TV.

I hired them to move our family. As I watched them work I couldn not believe how slow they were. No hustle no pride in their work. At times one of them would just stand there watching the other one. They even had the nerve to tell me it was hard work.welcome to the real world! I should have know from weak hand shake from one of that they would be whinners.

We used Booska to move our daughter a few blocks from one apartment to another apartment a few blocks away at University of VT. The new place was a third floor unit. Jackson and Austin were our movers. They were courteous, hard working, and experienced at proper handling of our stuff. Thanks for a seamless move!

Shady, shady, shady. First time ever using a professional moving company. I wanted to use Booska because -- like many others here -- I was into using a local, family-owned company for my move from VT to CA for school. The shame of it is that the actual movers, Greg (the long haul driver) and his helpers on both ends, were fantastic. Speedy and affable, they were the high point of this whole process.
In terms of the company's "customer service, " these guys are the absolute PITS. Andrea, the office "manager, " and Andy, the estimator, WOULD NOT respond to repeated attempts via email to clarify dates and shore up details. I understand people having a lot on their plates and maybe can't get a detailed response out right away, but -- especially in the customer service industry -- I expect SOME SORT of response acknowledging that I had contacted them.
Their ideas on "service" are absolutely atrocious and completely misguided. After requesting delivery on the 1st of August (at my new place in California), Andrea herself told me that it would be the 6th (I was one in a multi-load trip cross-country), possibly the 5th, since I would be the first delivery on the other end. Then, when Greg showed up and loaded everything up, he indicated a delivery date of the 9th (and, as it turns out, I was actually the second to last delivery)!
When I tried to confirm that it would, in fact, be the 6th (or 5th) via email with Andrea.what a shock, no response. Their communication regarding this entire process was so horrendous, I actually had to get in my car and drive over to their office just to get answers. HORRIBLE! I am also submitting a claim for some damage to my motorcycle cover that was brand new right before I left. Do yourself a favor, drive a U-Haul.
