Griffin Moving and Storage

Boy, were they amazing during the initial sales process. I fell for them hook line and sinker! Scott Griffin had me on a video chat, and it seemed too good to be true. They weren't the most expensive. They weren't the cheapest. They seemed fair and reasonable. I even purchased the $40,000 insurance protection for all my goods. And used them for storage for a few months.

The RED FLAGS began before moving day. NOBODY ANSWERS THE PHONE! I mean NEVER. I called every single day. I emailed every single day. Trying to find out when they were coming and what time they were coming. Finally on the morning of the move, I got a call at 8 o'clock saying they'll be there in 20 minutes. I was really upset, to say the least.

We weren't living at the property at the time. And had to race to get there in the pouring rain. It got worse from there. Their storage facility boasts air controlled. LIES. Everything was covered in a rusty brown dust that penetrated so much of our furniture and we even tried to have stuff cleaned. No luck. Our expensive throw pillows are garbage now.

They damaged so much of our property, really expensive furniture, unable to be cleaned or repaired, and so I wanted to follow the steps correctly to process my claim. I emailed them and called them constantly to learn how to do it properly, but I never got a response until weeks and weeks later which was past the submission due date of 60 days, and they claimed that all my messages had gone to spam. Really?

Your answering machine has a spam folder? SO Ridiculous! Now that they knew that my messages find their way into their spam folder, you would think they would constantly check, right? Any good business would! Wrong! After submitting my claim, all my emails and calls once again have gone on answered. They completely blew me off. They are ignoring me.

They are not honoring the insurance package that I purchased. In my opinion, that makes them an F rated company! If they were a lower grade then an F I would give it to them. Save your money! Stay far away from Griffin Moving company or you will experience the same frustration that I have, and you will be out a ton of money! They are nonresponsive.

Their storage facilities destroyed all my furniture. They are not climate controlled. THEY ARE LIARS! And they don't even honor their price quotes to you. Everything became much more expensive once they had my stuff held hostage. I am such a loyal customer. I use the same people over and over again when the service is good and the company is responsive, but Griffin Moving is the WORST in the game.

Hire anyone else but Griffin moving company; they ripped me off, and they will do the same to you! Here are some pics of the damaged they did. Unfortunately I can't upload as many I'd like, but I think you can get an idea. They SLASHED through my dining chairs with their exacto knife to take off all the plastic that did NOTHING to protect our stuff. If anything the wrapping ruined our furniture by creating creases and wrinkles that do not come out.

Jack Griffin and his team did well by us. From Hawaii to Griffin storage - then international. Everyone was very accommodating and coordinated well with movers etc.

Critical: Professionalism, Responsiveness The movers showed up and refuse to wear face mask in the building. The attacked the client and property manager and walked out. The company manager did not apologize on behalf of the employees and indicated that they were the best he had. Did not offer any options,

Beware, Stay Away from these Crooks. Used Griffin last month to do an out of state move; They hired a 3rd party to do the move and those movers did great. I recommended Griffin to my father and their employees ruined his wood floors then refused to take responsibility. Unethical, crooks; Once they have your money they will disappear. We will be reporting them to the BBB.

You have been warned. Their response below shows what kind of company they are. Instead of admitting their mistake their are trying to back out of responsibility. 100% used a third party for my move (they moved my stuff in a uhaul.) and 100% scratched my dads floor. Garbage company.

EXTREMELY disappointed with this company and the worst customer service experience! The truck did show up on our moving day after I confirmed 3 times during the week. No-one answered their phones for 2 hours after the no-show and when our account manager did finally answer he said he would look into what happened. We then heard from him 4 hours later with some story about the truck breaking down. which surely they would have known 6 hours prior.

They left us in an impossible position with zero other options. I spoke to the owner about this experience all he offered was " sorry about the lack of communication" and went on to degrade the other company that DID save us in the end. They left us extremely upset with their service and lack of responsibility and remorse over our experience! Highly unprofessional company

I looked for a moving company to move items from Davie to Dallas. After speaking with a few I thankfully chose Griffin. Jack and Amber were informative and professional with competitive pricing. The movers arrived at both ends within the timeline given. They packed up my items, disassembled the furniture and wrapped it all efficiently and professionally.

When they arrived here, they put everything where I wanted them, reassembled everything and removed boxes that they unwrapped. All in all I couldn't be more pleased, I highly recommend them.

I had a great move from Florida to NY. These guys are the best out there and the office people are very nice.!

I can not say enough good things about this company. My team consisted of Steve Quinn and Nate primarily. I could not have picked a better team to work with. I hired Griffin to pack my house and move from Fort Lauderdale to Orlando and their pricing was competitive. Working with Ursula to get the quote was easy.
Steve and Nate packed my house up quickly and efficiently on the first day of the move.

They were careful and neat with their packing. The second day, Steve and Nate were joined by Kevin to pack my the moving truck up, and it was another efficient and clean day. Actual moving day was a dream! Big Steve, Nate and little Steve showed up early from south Florida with the truck and they started and never stopped. I moved from a one story home to a two story townhome, and they actually moved my belongings into the new place quicker than moving out of my old place.

All in all, moving in general is not the easiest task, but the whole Griffin team, and most especially Steve and Nate, made the process seamless! My go to moving company from now on!

We used Griffin Moving a couple of years ago to move some storage units from Sebring, FL to Weston, FL and we had a great experience. The workers met us on time and worked from early morning to late afternoon hardly stopping at all. The workers were very nice and wrapped up things we didn't even think of so everything was in great condition when it arrived. We were very happy with them and would use them the next time we move, if we do! Five stars for sure!

Great Movers! We had a large move and we were very worried about our grandfather clock and other items that we couldn't replace. EVERYTHING and I mean everything was in perfect condition when it arrived! The packers that we had were fantastic! All my China was packed so professional! I can't say enough good things about our packers. Everyone from our point of contact to the driver of that HUGE truck was polite and professional. That's the way to run a business! We used Griffen Moving & Storage recently to move some things for us. They were very careful, polite and were fast, too. We were very pleased with the care they gave our possessions. We have never used a moving company before so we were pleasantly surprised and very pleased. We will use them again if we need something moved. We would recommend them for a move with no hesitation.

With regard to packers arriving on time A+ The movers also arrived on time A+ The delivery driver was superb A+ Our household item were damaged by poor packing and loading. Antique furniture gouged, and chipped. One of the pieces of our cement 3 tiered planter was packed underneath our kiln. Thus it is in pieces. I believe that there is either a lack of training or the packers just simply didn't care.

We are not happy with our move. I would not recommend your company. I gave two stars because the driver that arrived at our house in Michigan did an excellent job. Otherwise, this was a terrible experience and an absolute waste of money.

From the home visit to the day my belongings were delivered the entire experience was easy and seamless. I've never worked with someone so professional and caring in this capacity. Frank was the driver who ensured my house made it safely from Ft Lauderdale to Indianapolis and the crew that worked with him in both states were equally as caring. It's easy to see why Frank had won multiple awards with Alllied. If you need long distance moving definitely call Griffin Moving and Allied. Folks, highly recommended to stay away from their company if you want to avoid misery!

I scheduled a move with Griffin through Allied and originally went with them because they gave me then lowest estimate of the companies I had come out to help us with my dad's cross country move from FL to CA. Ryan did the estimate and was my main contact at Griffin and was very available and responsive throughout the process. We had a really difficult move.

We were moving my elderly parents from their home they lived in for 58 years, which had become a hoarding situation. Despite the logistical problems, the packing team was able to (with my husband's help) identify the important items (we had 1-800-junk remove the rest), pack them up and prepare them for moving. They also did a great job protecting two valuable paintings in wooden crates that they built.

The team showed up on time and worked extremely quickly and efficiently. The team loaded the moving truck the next day on time and again, very quickly. We had no problems with time management as other reviewers noted, everything went very smoothly and we were very happy with the service we were provided. In the end, our move estimate ended up being thousands LESS than originally quoted!

Our items got to CA without incident and even earlier than expected. The driver's team, again, showed up on time and unloaded everything quickly and without incident. I haven't seen anything damaged so far. Considering this stressful move, I couldn't say it could have gone any better. Griffin did a fantastic job for us and I would highly recommend them to anyone in the South Florida area.

I can.t write a review about the actual move.because. I could not get to thru the ESTIMATE PROCESS with the arrogant smug salesmen they sent out to my home! Good Lord. If they don.t have the people skills to make a sale. What would happen on moving day?

"Stay Away" My wife and I recently used Griffin Moving and Storage for a local Miami move. It was a Nightmare from start to end. We paid for both packing and insurance. After getting other estimates and looking up their BBB rating we decided to hire Allied after my wife's girlfriend raved about them after a recent long distance move. First off, the packers arrived late through no fault of their own as the weather was bad. However, they only sent 2 people and the estimate was for 3 people.

They spent approx. 8 hrs and they were unable to finish 2nd to time as well as a shortage of supplies. They were unable to finish the kitchen, the 2nd bath, linen and hall closets. They said not to worry as the movers would finish packing the next day. One of the packers spent all day in the kitchen packing!-we live in a 2 bedroom apt, how much stuff is in the kitchen?

The next day the movers were late again, another weather delay. However, all 5 guys were on the truck this time. Some started moving boxes and others continued to pack the stuff leftover from the previous day. They took approx. 7 hrs to load the truck(4 hrs longer than anticipated) and because of the delay we missed the reserved elevator time at the other building.

We had to pay $100 to the building in order to use the elevator for one hour to unload some stuff. Luckily, the building mgr. reserved the elevator for us the next morning so we could complete the move in. The next morning they arrived on time and the remainder of our stuff was finally unloaded. So a local 2 bedroom apartment move took 3 days. In the process they broke a number of potted plants, damaged and scratched multiple pieces of furniture, broke pictures and electronics on top of loosing the feet for the wine cooler and various other items that were supposedly packed by them but are still missing.

This company may have good BBB reviews but a mover is only as good as the people they hire and send out to your house for your move. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company at all costs. The packers are not trained professionals nor are they what I would call professional movers. They used a ton of paper to wrap stuff but left other things unwrapped that should have wrapped. You could do better ELSEWHERE

Griffin Moving/Allied moved a huge amount of stuff out of the house when the man I was married to took custody of his things. The team that came to pack was on time, quiet and efficient. The team that came to load was on time, clean and super quick. The team that arrived with his shipment on the other side was early, figured out the elevator system and was in-and-out before noon. Now it's my turn and I'm not even getting competitive bids.
