You can get plain or fancy; gable or single slope; short or tall; narrow or wide; standard or custom; shed, studio, or garage. Don't underestimate this benefit. Providing the following information will help us configure the best shed possible to fit your spot and meet your needs. 5. Are you aware of your city/county codes for accessory structures related to size, height, set-backs, and lot coverage? Is there a safe, legal place for the Shed Shop delivery truck to park uninterrupted all day within 150 feet of the shed site?

Like many people, we found ourselves in desperate need of additional space during the pandemic. After exploring a house remodel (big price tag!), we decided to instead get an office shed. There are a lot of different options from DIY to finding a random handyman to build one for you, but we went with The Shed Shop because we wanted something professionally done and managed entirely for us.
And it's exactly what we got! We got a 10'x10' shed which is the maximum size allowed in our city without a design review. The Shed Shop took care of all of the required permits and inspections and also made the entire process very easy and seamless. They have a standard "template" for the office shed, and you are able to make specific decisions about flooring, overhead lights, roofing, etc. I'm so glad there aren't too many options so it makes it much easier to make decisions.
Air conditioning and heating are available as options - and I'm glad we opted for them. They also have a very detailed and precise build schedule and were very communicative when changes were required (example: rain). They were able to make up the lost time from the rain, but we did run into a small supply chain issue as it related to sourcing the doors. Overall, the schedule slipped by about a week which wasn't bad at all considering that it was built in January. When we decided to get our shed, the waitlist was ~6 months. I'm hoping that they've had a chance to work through their backlog because it's worth it.

I had been dragging out getting a shed for years. Every moth my leased offsite storage bill would increase :(. I used Shed shop before at an old house and loved it but I opted to try to cost compare this time. I configured multiple sheds with other companies and tried to get the concrete done by someone (since no other shed companies would provide this part).
After several quotes and several no shows from concrete folks as well as outrageous cost I finally landed back at The Shed Shop and I could not be happier! They were on time and FAST for both the concrete pour and the shed build. Also got several reminders about the appointments. They made sure I had exactly what I wanted! Everyone I dealt with was extremely professional and friendly!

Excellent communication, stellar on-time delivery and installation. The shed is well built and looks good. We'd been considering replacement for our old dingy metal shed for several years and are sure glad we did. Sean worked with us from start to finish. The crew worked really hard to get the job done when promised.

I needed a quiet place to study and was tired of going to the library with its limited hours. I decided to have a shed built and visited the showroom. I chose a small shed. I chose a location near the back of my house and bought rocks to spread on at the location in preparation for the build as I was instructed to do. The work was done quickly and they cleaned up beautifully after it was done. The shed looks like a smaller version of my house, and it is a pleasure to use it. The build quality is excellent! I would highly recommend.

Shed Shop just completed my 8x10 classic this past week. You can tell watching the crew work, they know their stuff; this shed will last a long time and is built like a real garage. show room staff was helpful and thorough. I watched the youTube video explaining the construction - their website has good cost information too so you know what to expect with each choice. Shed Shop does a great job.

Andrew was professional, patient, knowledgeable and clear from start to finish. He and Sean who showed us the showroom were both great. The concrete pouring staff they contracted out to were good and that process went smoothly. The guys who built the shed were also friendly, efficient, and professional. Masks were worn by all at their appointment-only showroom and whenever even remotely close to us outdoors during the build.
The one thing that we discovered too late was that the direction of the plywood floor wasn't correct. It's good material, but it was put on going the same direction as the floor joist instead of perpendicular to them. This makes the floor less strong, but since they do a great job with the number of joists it's probably just fine. Overall, it was a job well done at a reasonable price by nice people. Can't ask for anything more! We plan to use them again whenever possible.

Shedshop will try and fleece you for the eletrical hookup, they quioted upwards of 15k. The person I was working with Andrew Gomes will not even visit the site, but will insist there is something wrong with your shed site. Shedshop is a complete waste of your time, take your business to other vendors.

I was really looking forward to having a studio shed shop installed in my home. I visited the showroom, had the onsite appointment for measuring, was told it would be 4 months to complete and they'd get me the price quote within 4 days. 24 days later and several email requests asking for that quote and still no quote. If they can't get a quote done in nearly 4 weeks time what are the chances they can actually meet that 4 month completion date? I'm going with other options.

I got a very roomy shed a few months ago at a very reasonable price. it still hanging here, steady. The installation was fast. They painted everything on-site. They missed a few spots when painting, but you really need to look for it or pay attention to very small details. With time, the door became a little bit harder to close. It might be because of the air from the Ocean.
Slightly planing the upper part of the plywood will do the trick. No big deal. Over all, it was and still is a great deal. Stacey was wonderful, helping us to fix the last details. I would recommend the Shed Shop, for sure.

They built my shed about 2-3 years ago. I really enjoyed the shed. They are delivered as they told me. From the start to finish, they are very quick and responsive. The price is very really reasonable. I used the shed for my studio. I have an AC/heater unit installed from them. I stayed shelter in place most of time in the shed.

Our shed shop shed just got installed. We just increased the square footage of our usable space by 45 ft. Now we have room to store bikes and garden equipment and paint and all the stuff one might store in a garage. Yippee! The men who installed it were friendly, efficient and attentive to detail. Thank you so much for a great job!

Stop looking. Contact Shed Shop already & get your shed or granny unit (aka. ADU-accessory dwelling unit) project done. You're welcome. Typically I'm only an avid spectator when it comes to Yelp. I always go there to read reviews and make my decisions from there, however rarely participate. Mr. Maniscalco says it best, "who's got time to write an 18 page essay on the asparagus they had last night?" Or in my case an ADU, but when you experience greatness it's a must. Shed Shop did an awesome job on our 1030 detached studio cottage ADU.
Our future plans are a success thanks to them. Seriously the best experience we have ever had in working with a construction company. We have done numerous projects in the past and always have had complaints, not with Shed Shop though. PROS: -The place looks amazing. Better than we expected. -Their expertise are sheds and ADU's. Initially it was difficult finding someone willing to work on this specific project given the size of it.
It took us several months and coincidentally we found Shed Shop through one of the random suggestions while on Yelp. Told ya I was an avid Yelp spectator. -Any time we had issues arise they immediately responded and fixed it. -Shed Shop staff are all super nice and competent. -One stop shopping. Design & build in house. -Extremely clear with services provided and fees. No hidden charges ever. -Great communication from start to finish; updates, timelines, you name it. CONS: -I wish we had another place to put a Shed Shop ADU.

We had a Shed Shop shed built at the end of March. I give the product/experience a solid C+. I went to the showroom and looked at the various models. They looked like sheds inside, meaning you could see the nails from the shingles poking out from the ceiling, the wall studs and cavities, and the inside surface of the wall material. They had rough edges here and there but basically looked fine, inside and out.
I bought an 8' X 10' traditional classic. The outside of the shed looks like the showroom sheds. The inside looked really awful. The overall impression was that the building materials had been tossed around in the back of a truck for a few months prior to arriving at my property. I expect construction materials to be rough, but not beat to hell.
The shed looked like it was new outside and several hard years old inside. The exterior is painted blue. There were blue handprints on a couple of studs and paint drips on the floor and on the (existing) cement slab outside. Becca from the Shed Shop did everything in her power to address my concerns. A guy came out and added foil tape to cover the large scrapes on the underside of the ceiling, and the badly damaged edges of the roof material where the seams met.
He cleaned the paint off the inside surfaces to the best of his ability. He also added "sister" studs in a couple of places where boards were split. He replaced a 2" X 4" in the door frame and added screws to secure the exterior sheathing to the door board. He also cleaned up the inside edges of the wall where it met the vents (it had been torn rather than cut in some places).
There were some issues with the exterior (nails not caulked properly?) that I didn't even notice but the guy who came out pointed out and addressed. With regard to the interior wall surface, there are I think three different kinds of wall material represented in the showroom. The Shed Shop currently only uses one of them to build new sheds. This material has large areas of what looks like a stain or other discoloration in random patches on its inside facing side.
This is apparently just what this material looks like. It's not attractive. The Shed Shop offered to drywall the interior to cover up the inside of the walls for me but I decided against it. I really just wanted a nice looking shed. It looks ok now, but it does not look like I thought it would based on the models in the showroom. The Shed Shop did try to make it right, but if I had it to do over, I would not.
If you do hire them, schedule a "quality check" inspection to be done immediately after the shed is built. Schedule this inspection before they build. Maybe you will have a better experience.

We had two sheds installed by Shed Shop. The first one in 2010 and second in 2013. The sheds are built on cement pads. They used two different materials-siding and wood. We haven't seen any issues with siding. The problem is the wood. These sheds are outside and should endure the elements. The doors were not sealed properly, caused dry rot on both sides of the door ways. Next, they used poor quality wood as trim and didn't caulk around the windows, which caused the wood to rot.
I brought this to their attention. They do have guarantee, but we are past the the warranty period. The workmanship and all the materials they use to build the sheds DO NOT last. Shed Shop in Fremont is closed. Shed Shop in Hayward was not willing to work with us to fix the problem. I recommend NOT using this company if you plan on having a good quality product that will last for years.

Just had The Shed Shop install a 8x12 tall shed. Very happy with the shed and customer service. The shed seems to be well constructed and I'm looking forward to years of use. The customer service leading up to the purchase, ordering and install was very good. The rep provided some useful information regarding code requirements that my landscaping contractor was not even aware of.
The installation team worked hard on a warm day to complete the install. They were diligent and left the area clean once done. I understand everyone may have a different experience, but ours was positive. Thanks Shed Shop!

Love my Shed Shop Shed! Everything about the experience was easy and efficient. From the low pressure sales (they really listen to what YOU want, not trying to up-sell on all the expensive options), the coordination and planning were easy and the team built and painted a high quality shed in one day! There are builders that are cheaper, but they had a bunch of mixed reviews and complaints - not worth the risk for me. I'm really glad we went with The Shed Shop!

Shed Shop built us a finished studio in 2018. This was a fantastic experience and we love the finished product. Highly recommend this company: - Competitive prices - Excellent project management and client communication - Fully customizable, client gets what the client wants in terms of size, window sizes and placement, doors, paint color. - They worked clean, no mess - They show up when they say they will - We had a preset schedule, and they were even able to fast track us and get the project done earlier than expected. - We did have a few issues pop up and they are always responsive and quick to resolve things, even after I paid. - They take credit cards with no surcharges, extra miles for me. - Impressive and strong final product. Shed Shop is a first class company and a local small business you can feel good supporting.

The owner of the shed shop personally reached out to me and took responsibility of the snafu. It was so refreshing to see someone actually take accountability of a mistake vs. making excuses for it. Anyhow, the shed was completed as promised and more importantly the end product was simply outstanding. The shed is a truly a masterpiece in my backyard and I have already gotten tons of compliments from friends and family. I highly recommend adding windows and getting your shed painted. It definitely adds a touch of class to your shed. Thx you shed shop for a wonderful looking shed.

I was told that the only way to get a free in home estimate was to go into the shop in Hayward. I take off work early so that I could get there before 5pm, the gentleman kindly shows me the different models and features. Now, I just want someone to come out and measure my yard to see what can fit. When I ask him when can someone come out, he responds with, "actually we require measurement of the worksite, photos of your yard including the route into your yard." The whole point in wanting you to install a shed and you guys to come out for an estimate is to make it hassle free for me.
I don't have time to take photos and measurements of my odd shaped backyard. So I called their local competition in Fremont. He came out the next day, and let me know what size and style could fit in my space. He sent me the estimate that night and scheduled in 2 weeks, finished in a day with paint on 8x12 shed that looks beautiful. I felt like I was bait and switched from free estimate to free estimate after you measure and take photos. Overall, I would look somewhere else for a shed, you have other options. Shed shop is not the only shop in the east bay.

The Shed Shop built a 10'x12' fully finished studio shed for us, including all necessary permit actions, a slab foundation, a good quality shingle roof, double pane windows and french doors, fully sheet-rocked and textured with floor and window trim, two tone painting inside and outside, fully insulated, recessed and dimmable ceiling lighting, pretty wood floor, an AC/heater wall unit, and electric plugs on each wall.
The framing was all done in one day. The full job was prescheduled to take place during approximately a four week period, and they followed their schedule to completion. We couldn't be more satisfied with the quality of the work, quality of materials, courteous attitude of all who participated in the planning and building, the non-pressure sales approach of the representatives, and the general service we got from the company.
The shed looks beautiful, inside and outside. We have furnished it with a set of bunk beds and a 2-person sleeper couch (for grandkid visiting), an ottoman for foot rest and storage, a small desk and chair and 28 TV, an end table with a little table lamp, and a throw rug for the middle of the room. We highly recommend this company to anyone who is interested in this type of structure. Our shed does not have plumbing. But it is only a short walk to our house sliding glass side door to run into the house for bathroom use.

We have now purchased 3 sheds from the shed shop. We have a Berkeley home with little inside storage and no garage. Purchased 2 sheds to store seasonal items, fit seamlessly alongside house. Most people think they were custom additions. We then purchased a 3rd shed to put our hot water heater in and enough room for garden tools. Superb. We've had for 10+ years with great durability.
