Established in 1930 by Richard Hicks Sr. as Trading Post Movers, our company started as a small southeastern moving service, operating in nine states. Three generations later, Trading Post and American International, as well as other affiliated companies have grown into one of the souths most dependable moving and storage providers.Despite our growth, Trading Post / American International is still family-run and prides itself on maintaining the same standards and friendly-practices that our company was founded on.
We possess necessary authority for intra-Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina and Florida moving. We ship Automobiles or can provide economic alternatives for transporting automobiles, boats, trailers, etc. We gladly schedule the move to accommodate your needs-after normal business hours or on weekends.
We take pride in the care our Perfect Packers give your possessions. Each packer receives professional training and experience in the use of our specially designed containers, soft shock absorbent materials, wardrobe cartons for hanging clothes and a variety of plastic covers and padding-all designed to provide extra protection during your move.
As an added service, we can make arrangements for storage should you decide to store all or part of your Household Goods before, during, or after your move. Our clean and secure government approved storage facilities are specifically designed to protect your belongings until you are ready for delivery.

Highly recommend this moving company. They were very professional from the start. Rachel was professional and very helpful with information and answering all my questions. The guys who moved us were professional and moved everything in a timely matter, packaged well, nothing was broken, scratched, or dented. Definitely recommend these movers and will use them in the future again.

Terrible Movers Start to Finish - Tom, generally performs the work of a dispatcher, was rude to me on the phone and essentially called me a liar when I told him the electronic forms were not filled out correctly. He dispatched his drivers with the wrong paperwork, misspelled my name when he said he didn't, tried to give me someone else's piano, and refused to finish the job his company was paid for when I called him to ask about it the next day.
His movers took three days to do a 1.5 day job, and still packed breakable and valuable things by stuffing them into boxes after I told them to be careful with certain things (posters waiting to be framed), my wife and I are also still missing an entire box of clothing with her most expensive sweaters and jeans, and TP's delivery drivers showed up late (after 10 am) when I expected them at 8 am.
They didn't call the day prior to confirm my address and then got lost on the way to my house. This company is terrible from start to finish. Tom is the worst of them all since he still tried to talk his way out it and urged me to give a good review even after I called to complain. Customer service doesn't happen here. Go anywhere else.
