The worst. Do not use them. I don't know what to say because it was horrible. The movers were great but the staff and everyone behind the scenes was miserable. They lied to me and gave me false information.

The movers were FANTASTIC! The company. not so much. They gave me a quote and the day of my move. They charged me an additional $450. I would highly recommend the MOVERS, not the company.

My mother passed away and I needed quick service to move her studio apt contents in order to avoid more rent. They squeezed me in the next day. They did not waste time and took good care of the contents. Not a scratch on anything.

Outstanding movers! I've used them twice, service the first time was great and opted to use them a second time. The men are careful, above and beyond. Showed up on time, no mess and professional. If you are looking for movers who are friendly, take extra care with your furniture, on time and affordable. book these guys!

Too pushy, don't have hourly rates and the name is thrifty, but it sure ain't!

Great, straightforward service. They sent an estimator to take inventory of the house, which I prefer to others doing it over the phone or the new trend of Zoom walkthroughs. After that, the crew came when expected, had everything loaded in about 90 min. (for our house, anyway) and was just as efficient unloading and getting items where they should be at the new place.

Plenty of packing and protection, which for an hour's drive (Concord - SJ) was appreciated. Miscellaneous tip: Their listed office address is Concord, but the crew drove from San Leandro, so don't expect a 15-minute drive like I did (not a negative, as it all worked out).

Our move with Thrifty was seamless (and how many times can you actually say that about moving?). Scheduling was easy and all details & costs were explained clearly. Our moving crew was great. on time, efficient, respectful, and very friendly. They came fully prepared with moving pads & wrap for our furniture and the best part, wardrobe boxes for our clothes.

We really appreciated their help and them going above and beyond to help us figure out spacing and furniture size/door way issues. We will definitely recommend them in the future!

I needed to move from my apartment and put a fair amount of stuff in a storage unit in a different city. I contacted Thrifty movers and they were very responsive and priced reasonably. I was a bit nervous since I had to move by a specific date. They were so professional! I got a bid by email that was exactly as discussed. They confirmed the move date and called the day before.

They showed up right on time, with an extra person, and got to work fast. The movers were polite and treated my stuff with care. It was pouring rain, so I thought it would be a mess, but they covered everything as they took it outside. They made fast work of the move, drove quickly to the new city and unloaded fast. The cost was only a few more dollars then the estimate, but very fair. I would definitely recommend them.

This team was awesome. Robert and crew are true pros. Courteous, careful, attentive, efficient and fast. Price was great. They were very flexible with the schedule. If there was ever any concern Robert and team responded immediately.

The movers were on time and amazing workers. They actually ran with the boxes and furniture which made the move as quick and easy as possible. Since we moved into storage, we will be using them again when our house becomes available.

Hired these guys at the recommendation of our real estate agent to load our pods for the move cross country. They were hands down the best movers I've every used. I only wish I had them on the other end to unload.

I moved from Concord to San Francisco and used Thrifty Moving services. From taking down my "inventory" to giving me an estimate. Definitely recommend using them for your next move. Want to give a special shout out to my movers Efren and Mario. I could not have asked for better movers. They nice, respectful and very professional.

Everything worked well for my move--from the initial call, the estimator, and the actual movers themselves. The guys were on time, patient, and careful. I could not have hoped for anything better!

I highly recommend Thrifty Moving & Storage for all of your moving needs! We did a local move, and they made the process easy from start to finish. The movers showed up on time, and were great to work with. The location we were moving from was on the third floor of an apartment complex, with no elevator. I apologized several times for the not so ideal moving situation, and they could not have been more positive, and accommodating about it.

They took great care of our boxes and furniture, and while I always go into a move with the expectation inevitably something will break accidentally, all of our items were perfectly intact when we unboxed them. I will definitely continue to use Thrifty Moving for any future moves!

Ok, so where do I to start? 1. Highest recommendation. 2. Best packers around. *EVERYTHING* was beautifully wrapped, paper wrapped then blanket wrapped then plastic wrapped around the blanket then cardboard around the plastic, then plastic around the cardboard! (I'm exhausted already)! * this packing process was done to a very (precious) large mirror and OMG *PRO-tected!

Emphasis on PRO. 3. This 3 man crew know what they're doing! Ok, so now the "crew": 1. BEST ever. Why? 2. SERVICE. ROBERTO ( Foreman) is a gentleman and so efficient. *The whole team was* The moving truck was a beast, and they maneuvered it around flawlessly around tricky corners and very narrow driveways etc. ROBERTO is an excellent driver and JUAN & GEOVANNI signaled to ROBERTO.

Very smooth team. JUAN amazing. He consistently checked in about which items needed special attention and took the time with me. Total gentleman. GEOVANNI: was very "stealthy" and zipped around from room to room organizing the closets and beautifully packing the clothes. SUMMARY: If I move again, these are my guys! Thank you ROBERTO! Thrifty Moving did an excellent job! The four-man team worked hard to move our entire office. They were efficient, and took the necessary care for a cross-country move. Perfect service, great price! I recommend Thrifty, if you like service above and beyond. Joel, Gary and Tyler were the best: Covid-safe, clean, careful, prepared. Everything was wrapped very carefully, no damage, and this involved disassembling/reassembling several large, multi-piece antiques. They were very professional while also being fun to be around.

They were also extremely patient and gentle with the seniors they were assisting. The movers were so awesome, they received a commendation from the director of the assisted living facility into where they were moving things! The office staff, Robert and Leslie, were always available with several options on how to accomplish our needs. This is our third move with their help. We would not consider using another company.

They just quoted me $440 to move only bedroom furniture. It's great that they offer comprehensive service - wardrobe boxes, wrapping, etc. - but this is outrageous to move one room. I've paid half that to move an apartment full of furniture, kitchen supplies, books, clothing, and more. I'm guessing the pricing makes more sense if you're moving an entire household. Also, they took a couple of days to respond to my request for a quote, then left repeated voice mails when one would have been enough.

Oscar and Bryan are awesome! They should get a raise and a day off! They were so professional and kind.! In a world that's short of kindness they restored my faith in humanity! These guys were great! They moved me from The Bay Area to Sacramento. What really impressed me. Highway 80 in Dixon, Ca. was closed to to an awful wreck. Instead of getting entangled in the highway mess, they went around it and beat me to Sacramento by an hour! Luckily I had people in Sacramento to meet them. Highly recommend these guys!

I recently used Thrifty to move to my new home in Vacaville. I am very please with the service. Eric in the office was very helpful and easy to work with. The visual estimator Marylynn gave me a decent quote that I decided on. Alex and the team that came and got it done were great! No problems at all! Thank you Thrifty team!

I've used Thrifty a few times and the moves have gone great. They even moved me out of the area. So this next move did not go so well trying to find movers, so I called Thrifty again hoping they could service my area and they did. I was so relieved to put another move in their hands and once again their team provided me great service and professionalism, from setting it up to the day of move it went smoothly and movers were diligent about keeping me informed on any protocol that came up and taking care of my items. I will use them again if I have another move.

They arrived on short notice and helped us move heavy things. Very nice, polite, professional demeanor and really good at moving heavy furniture with stuff still inside the drawers and angling it so they didn't dent or scrape stuff. They got it done in a short span of time and really helped my mother out!

Great company to work with, I highly recommend them to anyone who'd like to take the stress out of moving. The advice given on the phone is spot on, they are very flexible with dates and didn't mind a bit when I ended up changing the date I initially planned my move. The team came on time, they were all very experienced, very professional, happy to be there and most of all were very careful with our stuff, moving it around in the house, loading and unloading. They put everything where we asked them to when they unloaded and even moved things when we asked them to. Great service from this excellent company.

I just want to express what an amazing job TJ's team from Thrifty Movers did! Moving is gotta be one of the most stressful events and you don't need to add to the stress by hiring a lousy moving company. I just randomly picked Thrifty but got super lucky! I would definitely recommend Thrifty Moving for all your moving needs! Setting up my reservation with Marysa was a breeze. She made me aware of all CA policies & procedures thoroughly and explained their pricing structure well. Day of, Jim and Eric were extremely helpful and mindful of time. They arrived within the estimated time and got to work straight away.

These guys were literally running. We were doing a local 1 bedroom apartment move from Walnut Creek to Danville with a storage unit stop in San Ramon. They were extremely organized in what needed to be pulled out first at the storage unit vs being placed at the final destination so there was no time lost picking and choosing out of the truck. Jim was very consistent on asking questions about certain items for my preference on where the furniture should be placed.

Definitely not just a grab and drop job. When the moving was complete, Jim confirmed the timeline with me and called the payment into their office in front of me. They quoted me $135/hour with a 4 hour minimum and 2x the drive time of which they stood by. No hidden fees, charges, or attempts to pull the wool over my eyes. By nature, I was worried about the reliability of any mover but Thrifty Moving put all my concerns to ease. Amazing experience and will definitely use them again for my next move. I find this company to be very shady, I believe most of these reviews are fake if you look at some of the 5 star reviews you see that they just give 5 stars to all the companies they rate (probably an account hired to give reviews) and a lot of these 1 reviews dont make any sense. I called the business to speak to the owner and "office manager" makes decisions on behalf of the business and wouldn't let me talk to the owners or insist on leaving a message. 1 star shady all the way. I'd be willing to check up on this review if I see there is a response for the owner I will try again and reach out to you to clear if this review deserves a 1 star or not

The Worst Moving Experience Of Our Lives Dan called **the day before** our scheduled move and said they could not move us on the following day as scheduled. He said 1) his truck broke down and 2) he was short a driver. We had scheduled this move several weeks before, and explained that we absolutely had to move on July 29th. We stayed in frequent contact, and on the Monday before moving day, we called to confirm. "Don't worry about a thing - we will move absolutely everything." Strange that Dan couldn't find a truck; we rented our own, and at tremendous inconvenience and greatly added cost, had to move ourselves.

There were several irregularities early on that should have alerted us to the fact that this company flies by the seat of their pants. First Dan was going to come over to give us an estimate; then he decided to make an estimate on the phone. His email regarding the estimate had no estimated cost. Over the period of several weeks, he gave us two different quotes. Dan and Thrifty Moving rank as one of the most unprofessional and unacceptable businesses in the Bay Area, and I advise you to hire a different moving company.
